  6. I had issues with the Dutch language pack 28.10.* from upstream before and ended up using a modified one made by @gerwin. That still works well. See here (and my answer to that, with screenshots of an issue he resolved in an adjusted version): https://msfn.org/board/topic/180462-my-browser-builds-part-2/page/196/#comment-1198369. 7. Hello @tigerindigo! You need a language pack for New Moon/Pale Moon 28.10.x. The German one works for me with the most recent version of New Moon 28 without any issues. Here are two links: https://github.com/JustOff/pale-moon-localization/releases/tag/28.10.0_RC1 or https://archive.palemoon.org/palemoon/langpacks/28.x/28.10.0/ For changing the language you have to either edit manually the language ID via about:config or use the extension Pale Moon Locale Switcher: https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/locale-switcher/ Cheers, AstroSkipper

  9. For now, I've decided to stick with Firefox ESR 102. My interest in MyPal 68 wasn't to run it with XP. I simply wanted a Quantum era browser that worked with Windows 8, prior to the Proton UI changes in v91. I was also hoping for an x64 build, but for now I've stuck with Firefox ESR. The progress you guys have made seems amazing though.

  15. Like Windows NT 4 SP7 was originally planned, the same was for Win2000. In 2004 Microsoft canceled the project and replaced it with update rollup 1 for Win2000 SP4. This was the case because "costumers were already happy with SP4 and there is no need for another SP".

  18. Baby bear sits crying and lost on side of road - mother died in car crash By: Sina Lück n Tennessee, a mother bear is killed by a car. After the accident, the baby sits crying on the side of the road. It urgently needs a replacement mama. Tennessee (USA) - In the US state of Tennessee, a bear cub sits desperately on the side of the road, crying. Where is mummy? The baby probably asks itself this question over and over again. What the helpless animal does not know is that its mama is not coming back. Because shortly before, the mother bear was killed by a car - and now can no longer protect her baby. Mother bear killed by car - her baby sits crying by the roadside Without their mothers, bear cubs can only survive from the age of about five months. Until then, they are completely dependent on them. When a passerby discovers the animal, only a few weeks old, in the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee, it is immediately clear to him: the baby bear urgently needs help. He immediately alerts the non-profit bear rescue "Appalachian Bear Rescue" (ABR), which cares for orphaned and injured black bears. They also take the new bear cub into their care and affectionately name him "Peace Bear." All night long, keeper Coy feeds the little bear, who is to be moved to a new foster home as soon as possible. An orphaned bear cub cries for its mama. Because baby bear "Peace Bear" lost his mama, his rescuers find him a new home. © Facebook (Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency) Mother bear killed by car - wildlife caretakers find perfect replacement mama Mother bears adopting other people's cubs, while not uncommon, is a very delicate undertaking. "Timing is critical," Bear Rescue emphasizes on its Facebook page. "The first challenge is finding a wild sow who can support another hungry cub." In the search for a new foster family, staff turn to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA). Sure enough, they know the perfect surrogate mom for the little peace bear. TWRA officials tell the caretakers about a mother bear who is nursing two cubs of the same age. She has adopted orphaned babies in the past. Mother bear killed by car - rescuers carry Peace Bear in backpack to den With Peace Bear in their backpacks, Coy and TWRA Officer Steve Massengill set out the next morning for the bear den, located in the mountainous terrain of the Cherokee National Forest. On their hike, the men must stop repeatedly to feed the bear cub. "The foster cub has to be full enough not to make too many loud noises as you approach the den and hungry enough to be nursed by its new mother as soon as it enters the new den. It's a delicate balance!" As they approach their destination, they breathe a sigh of relief. For the mother bear is in the process of nursing her two cubs. "The timing was perfect!" the bear rescuers rejoice. Mother bear killed by car - now her baby has new siblings The reunion of the bears is also going like clockwork. Gently and with the necessary safe distance, Coy and Steve set the cub down at the entrance of the den. "Peace Bear dashed into the den very quickly. We caught one last glimpse of his little feet as he disappeared from sight to join his new bear family," Appalachian Bear Rescue is overjoyed. The mama bear also welcomes her foster child with open arms. She stretches out her paw and pulls the cub close to her. Wildlife keeper Coy is certain that Peace Bear feels right at home with his surrogate mother* and his new siblings. Because all he hears are happy noises from the nursing of the baby bear gang. For the animal patchwork family, the adventure will probably begin in mid-April: then the bears will leave their den and explore the big wide world. Take care, little bear! 19. Raccoon cuddles with deer: video shows how intimate their friendship is By: Lara-Sabrina Kiehl Raccoon "Jasper" is an orphan just like deer "Hope." In a wildlife sanctuary they get to know each other and from then on they are thick friends. Some friendships are simply connected by something very special. Often it's shared experiences that weld them together - but sometimes it's also the heavy blows of fate. They, too, often strengthen the invisible bond of friendship. Will this also be the case for raccoon "Jasper" and deer "Hope"? Perhaps yes, because both have lost their mama much too early, writes landtiere.de. Raccoon loves deer: Video shows the cute friendship Raccoon "Jasper" is just like deer "Hope" an orphan. In a wild animal sanctuary they get to know each other and are thick friends from then on. Every day, raccoon "Jasper" visits his friend "Hope." © Instagram (texasfawnandfriends) It's a rainy day when raccoon "Jasper" is abandoned by his mom. At this point, he is just three weeks old. 23. I believe it's about WebComponents. A lot of sites are making use of that and as such older browsers became doomed. Even Pale Moon which is constantly being developed has difficulties implementing that. Strangely, the old version 9 of Midori does have at least partly implemented WebComponents, which allows log in and operations in WordPress blogs. For e-mail I am now using ClawsMail natively instead of POP Peeper which was used with Wine until about a month or so ago. That is in Linux. Win9x probably has much dimmer chances of getting something usable with respect to browsing and e-mail.

It would be Pentium Extreme 965 3.73 GHz at 1066 MHz https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/27615/intel-pentium-processor-extreme-edition-965-4m-cache-3-73-ghz-1066-mhz-fsb.html vs your example of the Pentium 4 570J, 670 or 672 3.8 GHz at 800 MHz Now the other thing to consider is how you would even be able to tell in any real world application as to which is faster in DOS.

  32. Yes, PM-28.10 LPs aren't fully compatible with NM28.10.6a1; but most areas of the GUI a "general" NM28 user would frequently access function adequately... Web Developer Tools and some other "advanced" GUI areas might have "glitches" (or don't even open at all...). FTR, New Moon (both v27 and v28) was NEVER meant (by roytam1) to be localised; the fact that "upstream" PM language packs once used to work fully with past versions of NM28 was, of course, a welcome one by NM users, but also one more point of contention by upstream, who licence the PM LPs to be used exclusively on their own "official" application; if left unmodified, PM LPs, when installed in NM28, will turn the "unofficial" NM branding to "official", copyrighted, PM one...

"Bambi" is 80 years old, and his morals are more important today than ever Even with less than a thousand words, a long and complicated production, a failure at the box office, and one scene that broke the hearts of countless children, Disney's classic adaptation of an anti-fascist novel by a Zionist writer became one of the most successful animated films of all time... The story of "Bambi", the classic film of the Disney studios from 1942, which is now celebrating its 80th anniversary, is a series of contrasts. On the one hand, it is a cute children's movie, almost plotless, most of which is dedicated to sweet little moments of Bambi and his friends frolicking in the forest. On the other hand, "Bambi's mother" has become synonymous with childhood trauma, and the moment of her death is not the only scary scene in the film... The agents of the Provincial Police (former gamekeeper) have in fact informed him that in September they will take him away... He had been abandoned by his mother - says Giovanni Del Zoppo, 58 - and I took him home, saving him. As a child I fed him with the bottle with the milk of the 70 goats raised by my daughter Sara. Then, gradually he grew up with feed, small fruits, sprouts and apples. He is one of the family and my granddaughters are very close to Bambi, that's what I called him. "... 36. You're welcome! Just to be clear, I didn't say he'd never visit this forum or the Mypal 68 threads. @feodor2 said he would come around here from time to time whatever that means. Here is a quotation from @Jody Thornton's MyPal 68 thread: Cheers, AstroSkipper

  37. Would've liked your posting, but, of course, I can't like a posting when a person is enduring through a struggle. EDIT: I do like that you are enduring, I meant suffering, good you are enduring. You are!

  38. @Anbima As NotHereToPlayGames told you, the site referenced fails to function properly in 360EEv11 because it requires the JS feature called "the Object.fromEntries() method", which was first implemented in Chromium 73 (while 360EEv11 is Ch69-based): ... hence the link to your previous post of Aug 18th (but you've also asked this on Aug 4th and Aug 6th and Aug 17th ) ... Missing "methods" can be polyfilled (please search what a "polyfill" is) and polyfills (in essence, pure JS code written in a syntax compatible with previous standards that the deprecated browser supports) can be inserted in pages via UserScripts; you need to install first a userscript manager, like Tampermonkey (closed-source) or Violentmonkey (open-source, it's the one I use, but v2.13.0 will be the last properly supporting 360EEv11) and write a simple userscript containing the polyfill code... If you're not bothered to even learn how to compose a VERY SIMPLE userscript (that works selectively on shop.brink.eu or, even, globally in the browser), this tells us that you probably like to be "spoon-fed", which won't make you appear very "attractive" in these places... Another way to inject code (a polyfill in this case) is via an extension, but I suspect you writing one from scratch just for that would be "totally out of reach" for you... An obvious solution to your problem(s) - without needing you to learn "very complicated" things - would be updating to a later version of 360EE, v12 (Ch78-based) or v13/13.5 (Ch86-based); on the plus side, many more "recent" sites will be better supported; on the minus side, your (probably old) H/W might not bode well with them... A sort of "spoon-feeding" solution would be to install below extension: https://github.com/InterLinked1/chromefill It isn't available as a .CRX file, but you need to install from zip while being in (extension) Developer Mode (or you can convert the zipped source into a CRX via the browser itself and then install that CRX); the extension provides polyfills for Object.fromEntries and several other methods missing in Chromium 70... Most of the rest of your eventual questions can find answers if you type them in your browser's Search Bar...

  39. Cane Toads In Oz A gigantic frog in a strange new land. Cane Toads!! Just hearing those words creates fear and loathing in many Australians. These feral amphibians have become a major invasive threat to biodiversity in Australia (often called "Oz" by the people who live there) since their introduction in North Queensland. Reports that these poisonous amphibians have invaded through the Northern Territory and have reached Western Australia fuel this national sense of fear and loathing. Newspaper reports of cane toads being found right across the country, and breeding as far south as Sydney, create widespread alarm... HERE: https://www.canetoadsinoz.com/

  43. Hello @Dušan Vićić ! Thanks for your compliments and your support for us in this project! After 5 months, the sites are almost restored. To answer your questions, I will try to publish v4 and v3 sites on my website, but I don't know if this will work. I will also make a guide (or anyone else, if someone wants to do that) to restore Windows Update on Windows Server (with the files included, of course). Windows Update will work even without the original links, because it uses files stored in the Windows Update folder on the server. The idea of a website that detects the OS and redirect the user to the good website is cool, but I don't know how to do that, sadly... Even if this project is not finished, I want to thanks everyone involved in it who made this project possible, who made the impossible possible! Thanks @WinFX, @courrier3241, @xpandvistafan, @Longhorn XP, @ParQuadCore, @Sanvahu, @Le Cubis, @mina7601 and the other people (remember me your name if I forgot you ).

  44. Working fine here with Mypal 68. user_pref("general.buildID.override", "20100101"); user_pref("general.oscpu.override", "Windows NT 10.0"); user_pref("general.useragent.compatMode.version", "102"); user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0"); I'm saddened to have to say this (of beloved Serpent) not everything is working anymore ...

  47. Windows 2000 “Update Rollup” was always such an oddity. Just what did they have in mind? Someone obviously thought the idea would go somewhere or other (Update Rollup 2?) but the concept apparently never took off. We know the rest, and what a turnaround: no more service packs for W2K Pro, not even a final Service Pack. At least there were some cumulative updates released later. They short-changed XP on service packs as well, as their longer-term strategy took shape: don’t compete with alternative operating systems, get rid of them. So far they’ve more or less cut off both support and hardware (we here being a little less “cut off” than most computer users, buyers and builders, because of what we know). Going forward (if you can call it that) the creep clearly intends to cut off installation of anything other than the Rolling Nightmare it calls Windows 10, which frankly looks to me like one long, evolving Service Pack to nowhere. I’d rather fight than switch.
