There is no error, if I replace the file with the one from last week. However, I haven't started with a fresh profile yet, nor do I have tried it on a clean XPSP3. got a report from elsewhere, which may be related to latest libjpeg-turbo update. but since I can't reproduce, I can't debug it for now.

But I also have a custom .css. Regardless, this issue of not filling in the table for the Restore Session is with an empty profile, no changes whatsoever from fresh-download. On every computer I've ever used Serpent on. But only "newer" than a year ago. As first reported here, I will now see if the latest version finally works for filling in the table for Restore Session.

Sometimes it will never show up and the last session is restored without this tab. Sometimes it will show up but the table will not be populated with the windows or tabs that are to be restored (such as the below screencap). Sometimes it will work correctly and does display the windows or tabs being restored. Looks like this was the first post regarding Restore Session.
NotHereToPlayGames Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I'm showing as still not fixed. I will need to revert again to July 31, 2023 version of Serpent 52. "Newer" versions are broken when it comes to Restore Session.

On video hosting sites (Youtube, VK), when watching videos, the processor is loaded by 99%.
UCyborg Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I updated to the new Pale Moon 33.4.0.1 with the new ghostbuster and I can't say it really helps with the smoothness, it's a lag city soon after a bit of YouTubing and GitHubbing, even after closing them. So UXP browsers remain more of a masochist endeavor, a nostalgia trip to an era long gone. While with Firefox, it's as simple as sudo apt install firefox, install uBO and things are silky smooth, YouTube, GitHub, ImgUr, whatever. 3
nicolaasjan Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Random crashes on palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20241012. Reverted to previous version ---> no issues.

modnar Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Heh! This is a good one - latest Serpent 52.9 clean profile or previously used I get gkmedias.dll error when going to these sites (just started browsing today): sapphiretech.com, msfn.org (My Browser Builds (Part 5)) and probably all others. The best part is that I can write this reply while message about basilisk.exe encountering an error window is inactive but on top of browser's. Please fix it...
modnar Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) Additional info: even on RT's blog Serpent 52.9 (x86) crashes when those little pictures/icons of followers are shown. Temporary fix: I just copied gkmedias.dll from previous Serpent 52.9 package (2024-10-05) and 2024-10-12 version works flawlessly. The older version of gkmedias.dll is 9.52MB, the newer is 9.40MB. Something important got left out apparently. Edited October 12 by modnar

The familiar "The instruction at "0x########" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read"." messages. Reverting to 'palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20241005-d849524bd-uxp-73f3390cf8-xpmod-sse.7z', which worked fine. 1
modnar Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) I tested further: hardware acceleration (via g. angle) does not cause the problem. Here's the app_compat report from my VM (if it possibly helps any)... c7bd_appcompat.txt P.S.: MailNews 2024-10-12 also crashes as soon as I click on email in my inbox that has pictures attached to it. Edited October 12 by modnar Mailnews also... 1
