    winntbbu

hi XPero! i tried WinntbbuED, Edit your Winnbbu.dll the easy way ... extracted XPize & checked on winntbbu ... the app above wouldn't apply Billboard changes with XPize slipstreamed ... i'd like to still integrate XPize but would there be anything you might suggest to work-around this? if i may ask too, would there be a switch just to affect winntbbu? thanks!
  4. install it first ... then use this tool: [utility] Driver Backup, Searches for and backs up installed device drivers ... once you have the drivers backed-up, insert it in the drivers section of nLite ...
  5. hi! your wmp11 looks a strange compared to what i have as follows: WMP11\control.xml WMP11\eula.txt WMP11\KB925749.cab WMP11\LegitLibM.dll WMP11\mymusic.inf WMP11\Revert.wmz WMP11\setup_wm.exe WMP11\skins.inf WMP11\syncpl01.wpl WMP11\syncpl02.wpl WMP11\syncpl03.wpl WMP11\syncpl04.wpl WMP11\syncpl05.wpl WMP11\syncpl06.wpl WMP11\syncpl07.wpl WMP11\syncpl08.wpl WMP11\syncpl09.wpl WMP11\syncpl10.wpl WMP11\syncpl11.wpl WMP11\syncpl12.wpl WMP11\umdf.exe WMP11\WindowsXP-MSCompPackV1-x86.exe WMP11\wmdbexport.exe WMP11\wmfdist11.exe WMP11\wmp11.exe WMP11\wmpappcompat.exeas for ie7, be certain not to have any ie6 update in there ... much more, try re-running HFSLIP.cmd with only supported HFs as may be seen in TC's sig ...
  6. hi StormRage! pls post your compressed hfslip.log ... silent installers are placed in HFSVCPACK dir while addons are placed in HFAAO dir ...
  7. setuperr.txt is in c:\windows ...
  8. wrong thread buddy! here choose from any of these: nLite [bETA] RyanVM .NET Framework All-In-One Package BETA2 RogueSpear's Runtime Collection [Release] .NET Framework 1.1/2.0/3.0 Silent .NET Maker (latest update: 20070201), Create silent switchless .NET installers for Win2K/XP/2K3 x86
  9. would be great so we wouldn't have to burn ISOs anymore ... + certainly faster transfer
  10. that is how everyone does it ... clicking Insert and browsing for the directory where the HFs and addons are saved ... you can actually select multiple HFs/add-ons to include if you're disc was already identified as SP2 then you wouldn't need to integrate SP2 anymore from the looks of it you're issue is not nLite related
  11. try removing from components windows sound ... it wouldn't have the defaults anymore ... and in the Sound/Multimedia CPL, window would have it set to blank after install
  12. hmm ... thanks heisking ... i didn't install it (& don't want to ) so i tried searching from the cd itself (from teh cabs too but didn't find it) ... thanks for the tip ... i'll try to mount it then ...
  13. there should be a copy of the .ini sitting in Program Files -> nLite -> Presets
  14. EDITED: started new thread for my inquiry ...
  15. hi! where can i get that from Vista cd? tried searching for file in a Dell OEM Vista CD but i couldn't find it ... thanks!
  16. hi Mandarin! just try to integrate Kel's addon via nLite and see the results ... equally simpler would be to run only Kel's addon without any otehr addon ... see how your mileage goes
  17. if i may clarify, did you by any change remove manual install & upgrade component? if not this should preserve winntupg and you can have the recovery console installed ...
  18. ha! ha! it'd seem i had something extra from you both gentlemen: nMx.Memnoch & kdyer!
  19. tried several times ... this is what i got: ... i'll try again laterEDIT: got it now ... thanks!
  20. hi! i tried this very recently ... i felt great to be able to change setup screens however, 2 things i noticed: (1) Billboards don't show when XPize is slipstreamed; (2) "Finalizing Installation" is not in Bold like the others ... here are some inquiries: (1) would the font for "Setup will complete in approximately: xx minutes" be changeable too? would it's text depend on syssetup.dll for it to be ready for editing? ... (2) i didn't change the resolution of the bitmap i used ... & it seemed to work ... do still i need to change it to lower resolution (640x480 or 800x600)? ... lastly i just need to confirm: after processing the file(s) with this nice little app, i just have to replace the i386 files with these, right (uncompressed winntbbu.dll & compressed syssetup.dl_)? thanks!
  21. ha! ha! i wonder how this came to be? i've actually been asking how i could disable the functionality of WU (set it to Turn off Automatic Updates... setting it to disabled & have it grayed-out so it couldn't changed) ... together with removing its shortuct from the Start menu ...
  22. hi Sgt_Strider! partly discussed here: Flashplayer updated, New version 9.0.45.0 available ... even if updated, still the same error logged in setuperr.txt
