  1. ha! ha! really great guys to have 3 different approaches to this i'm certain lots will benefit from these ...
  2. ey TC! just sharing what i had ... i'm not complaining though (i'm using modified SFC by fdv) but overall i am very GLAD to be able to finally come up with a successful build! thanks!
  3. hi nuhi! i'd just like to ask what nLite does behind the scene when in regular installs prompts for the following: at T-39 to T-33 (1) hardware installation comes up ... sample below same prompts for: Creative AudioPCI (ES1371, ES1373) (WDM) Intel® 823741AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller USB Root Hub Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard Microsoft Kernel Audio Splitter Microsoft Kernel Acoustic Echo Canceller Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility Driver then it re-occured before desktop: same thing for the following files: Microsoft Kernel Audio Splitter Microsoft Kernel Acoustic Echo Canceller Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer (2) Confirm file replace ... sample below: Confirm File Replace Source: C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\RarSFX0\qasf.dl_. Target: C:\Windows\system32\qasf.dll. The target file exists and is newer than the source. Overwrite the newer file? [Yes] [No] [No to All] ... default value for both scenarios is No ... does nLite take the default value or otherwise? in both cases, would it be possible to set it to Yes? thanks!
  4. leme me try this already downloaded & registered ...
  5. hi nuhi! may i request for options in the tweaks section to be able to either Hide when inactive, Always hide, Always show in Customize Notifications? thanks in advance!
  6. all you need is the i386 dir ... you may still remove some other dirs from it (win9x dirs are very safe to remove too)
  7. hi tc/tp! i would just like to share my happiness in being able to finally come up with a successful build (after struggling for more than a month) ... i've tried all possible combos in what i put in and took out ... there was actually 1 specific addon (Kels_ResHack_v3.4.0.79_addon_build5 ... Kel has already come up with build6 which works great!) that caused the other addons not installing, as well as ie7 & wmp11 ... installation skipped from T-28 to T-22 ... here are some comments though in my build: same thing happened with: WMADMOD.DL_, WMSDMOD.DL_, WMSPDMOD.DL_, wmvdmod.dl_ then at T-39 until T-33 same thing happened with: Creative AudioPCI (ES1371, ES1373) (WDM) Intel® 823741AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller USB Root Hub Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard Microsoft Kernel Audio Splitter Microsoft Kernel Acoustic Echo Canceller Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility Driver then it re-occured before showing the desktop (i wonder why) for the following files: Microsoft Kernel Audio Splitter Microsoft Kernel Acoustic Echo Canceller Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer would there be a way to keep these from showing up? from setuperr, this is what i got when including swflash.cab Error: Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\macromed\flash\flash.ocx because of the following error: DllRegisterServer returned error 2147500037 (80004005). other that the 3 minor issues above, everything works great ... i've attached here some files for viewing just to show my success in having all these HFs & files slipstreamed/integrated ... THANKS for 70325
  8. thanks for this XPero! have just downloaded it today ... i'll try this out again with HFSLIP!
  9. This can't be slipstreamed yet.I would advice slipstreaming XPize, and then installing XPize Darkside. A Future release will support slipstreaming, and will no longer be classed an "add-on". this is great zedox! been requesting for this (switches for integration/slipstreaming) in my earlier posts ... looking forward thanks!
  10. thanks p4ntb0y! i haven't read the document fully yet ... i wanted to know though if it would be possible for non-Dell home users to create such utility partitions (w/ image) that can be called too to restore from (& with appropriate combo keys too) ... thanks again!
  11. hi nuhi! following up on this please ... thanks!
  12. thanks TC! i was just merely thinking that it would do not just me but the others good as well since i've seen it done somehow (i.e., DST KBs being blocked) in previous test rels ...

    KB888111

hi tomalak! 888111 has actually been supported for quite sometime (i actually requested for it ) ... it has to be placed in HF ... i have not encountered you're issue though ... perhaps i haven't looked into it closely ... but it's a good find
  14. hey hulkviper! have you found a resolution to this already? i recall in my earlier runs this didn't happen ...
  15. hi all! my apologies if this would not be the appropriate to post my concern (kindly redirect me if so) ... i'm certain the gurus here are familiar with how Dell restores it's system like it's newly shipped from the factory ... point being is would anyone by familiar how Dell does it ... Dell Machines have an OS image somewhere in the hdd ... and calling it by pressing <Ctrl> + <F11> upon boot executes Recovery (making use of Ghost) which only takes aound 8-10 minutes to complete the restoration ... can regular home users do this too? thanks!
  16. yes indeed ... don't remove winntupg folder ... and via nLite it's manual install & upgrade
  17. hi! despite having provided the computer name in the unattended section, installation still halts there (the computer name i provided is there) but i still need to press enter for the installation to continue ... btw, this happens in a VM & there is no same computer name existing ... what could be causing this? thanks!
  18. hi guys! i just like to validate if it's just really the progress bar that's visible during initial loading? this is what i only see ... i don't see Windows XP & the copyright anymore (the words ) ... thanks!
  19. hi tc/tp! would it be alright for HFSLIP to block ie6 HFs for HF users, say hard code it? was just thinking since it is the main cause for broken installation of ie7? (the same may be true for wmp9 users where HFSLIP may block wmp10 HFs & the same applies for wmp10 and wmp11 users ). thanks!
  20. it's good now ... i can download the entire threads now ... thanks for setting the limit higher! truly appreciate it! :
  21. thanks TC! it's actually trial & error for me now while i was away ... will do some more tests ... i'm certain something breaks my install > ... just couldn't pinpoint it yet ... i'm going back to not slipstreaming ie in a while ... would like to run many more tests but need to sleep too ... he! he!
  22. hello! i've attached some files for your review as i still couldn't get to make ie7 & wmp11 to work ... been trying while i was silent recently if i remember it right, installing it at t-13 was the last time it worked great + the addons ... i haven't been successful in slipstreaming it ... running iexplore.exe from run brings up ie7 but for a split sec only then quits ... thanks!
  23. sirs ... really my sincerest apologies ... but kindly lift the limit for downloading threads ... i'm not always online so i read off-line threads ... i'd really appreciate it ... thanks!
