  1. hi NoelC. thanks for your thoughts ... well, literally your view you see, what i need is more distinguishable selection, darker actually so selections can be easily seen.
  2. hey hey! it feels great to be welcomed again. it's great to be back although life's much busier now with a bigger family & more responsibilities. MSFN was part of my daily routine before & still consider this my home. hopefully, this time the image uploaded. pretty simple concern but have only been using windows 10 for 5 months ... after finally switching from my favorite windows XP (such the sincere need for HFSLIP --- which i certainly miss.) hope everybody's well.
  3. hi again MSFN. been a while since i was last here. (don't even know how to attach image here now (not from a url) in my post.) please accept my apologies for starting a new topic but i tried a quick & didn't find any topic similar to my concern. i can barely see selections & i don't have 3rd party theme installed. kindly see attached image. i am hoping there are some settings i can apply to have darker distinction between selected & deselected items. appreciate your feedback.
  4. hi mimo! your continued work on hfslip is greatly appreciated. i have been inactive as i have been kinda pre-occupied too. however, i still try to check in from time to time to read some posts. thank you! cheers!
  5. read through here: http://mimo.zxq.net/ specifically go to: 3. Application Addons cheers!
  6. very interesting hope you 2 have a great time. regards to TC! ... could be wishful thinking ... but should TC come back, would TP be on board too? cheers & God bless!
  7. appreciate the quick reply jaclaz ... use will be on different computers we log in to. would it still be okay? also, i only have ofc 2003 & ofc 2007 as resource. i think the guide is for ofc 2010. cheers!
  8. hello! it might not be legitimate to do so but i would like to know if it would be possible to run ms-office from a usb key? we currently face a big productivity concern in our workplace as they are pulling-out licensed ms-office applications in exchange for engaging more with other employees (rather than be stuck in workstations while working on some admin & ad-hoc deliverables). as such, for those (myself included) who cannot live without ms-office, efficiency in terms of deliverables will certainly experience major down time. openoffice has been installed too but users prefer ms-office
  9. hello! it's nice to know this project still perks interests to some members. with all due respect, i was away for quite sometime so i ask if strel is still on board? hope all's well from his end. tomcat & strel, with regular feedback from members have made this a very handy tool. just wondering if we could still look forward to using this to cover updates (& fixes) to .net. cheers!
  10. appreciate the quick response Mim0! looking forward to your progress. cheers!
  11. hello Mim0! been a while since i created my last build & here i am again trying to read back on lots of stuff i know i have missed & need to familiarize myself with again. i am thankful you are still maintaining hfslipfc & making hfslip live on. my last build based on what i have i add/remove program was: v1.7.9 build 091109. 1 quick question though, would there be a similar file or method (similar to what -X- employs) used via hfslipfc that downloads all updates listed in your table & moves to designated hfslip directories (i.e., hf, hftools, etc.)? atm, i have wget in hftool
  12. this is greatly appreciated Muppet Hunter!
  13. thanks dadiehl but the apps can't even be accessed because error comes up rightaway. i tried to reinstall office 2010 via method 2 as suggested in http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B310353 & it installed completely without Error 1406; however, as i feared as soon as i started the program, i encountered the vicious cycle again of Microsoft (PowerPoint/Outlook) has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. <Restart Microsoft PowerPoint/Outlook> <Send Error Report> <Don't Send>. ... (didn't matter whether i sent t
  14. hello! i've been trying to find the source of my problems with both powerpoint & outlook 2010. i used to have office 2003 fully updated (even with 2007 compatibility packs & service packs) & i just upgraded (option was to remove previous versions) to en_office_professional_plus_2010_x86_515486. excel, word & publisher all load up well but not for powerpoint & outlook. specifically i get the same errors for both: upon initial launch, error reporting always shows: Microsoft PowerPoint has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. <Restar
  15. looking forward to this ... hopefully this progresses & maybe entice tommy p, fdv & tomcat to come back! cheers & god bless!
  16. is this the one you're looking for? I think that's the link to the old installer. The one I'm looking for is whatever the download link is from validating through this page http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=1d224714-e238-4e45-8668-5166114010camy apologies if that wasn't the correct link ... although it says on the page 6/22/2010. cheers!
  17. is this the one you're looking for?
  18. hey guys! any word about strel? is he coming back? hope he's okay. there've been updates that need strel's expertise. cheers!
  19. hi! i got these updates pushed by mu/wu very recently: ms .net framework 1.0 hotfix (kb979904) under ms. net framework 2.0 sp2 --- kb979909 --- kb980773 --- kb976765 under ms. net framework 3.0 sp2 --- kb976769v2 cheers!
  20. whoa ... this recent development has indeed depressed me though this i think was forthcoming, thus wasn't surprising as tommyp had been always warning those who used hfslip for corporate environment while others even demanded changes as if this was a paid technical support service embarrassing to admit this in public but it was my sincerest intention to donate even a little amount had i not been in between jobs for the past year (in fact, lots of other domestic plans have been put on hold too) ... the best way i thought i could compensate though in my little ways was to test for bugs + make s
  21. appreciate all efforts that come this. i'm certain this will benefit a lot of users out there. it's just a bit sad that development of nLite has stalled. hopefully all's well with nuhi. cheers!
  22. great to see you're back Mim0! you deserved the break. cheers!
  23. hi! i noticed strel has been inactive for a while now. hope he's coming back & all is well. cheers!
  24. hi Lilla! sorry for jumping into this just now ... this may not be the resolution but have you tried using Silent .NET Maker synthesized 20100118 - W2K/XP/2K3 x86 by strel (previously started by tomcat)? it works well with hfslip ... i tried to ask about the xps printer updates in passing somewhere in the thread ... could be worth a shot cheers!
