  1. hi ferny! i suppose this is not caused by resolution settings ... for me the usual causes of lock-ups are: (1) bad iso which is usually caused by bad source (2) .cat files not deleted (this makes T-39 installation REALLY crawl (3) SFC enabled (4) too much or incompatible addons (5) unsupported/duplicate hotfixes of course there are others still but i'm just sharing my pains to you so some of it may not happen to you ...
  2. i normally use XP Pro SP2 ... i can try it on a Win2k though ... do you want it in an existing installation? isn't xpize required ... but i think xpize is not for 2K?
  3. hi Schema! i'm not sure if the threads you've read included these ... i'm just sharing some: Dell OEM and WPA DELLXP INSTALL DISK - Trying to perform unattended setup- Noob Building a Pre-activated CD from an existing installation Trouble with slipstream Dell OEM Win XP and of course, the most extensive: OEMScan - Automated Multi Manufacture Pre-Activation Utility
  4. thanks a lot xper! ... tried it already ... it was back to the previous limitation ... specifically, until only to what i reported in my very 1st post ... which was resolved based here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=621013 ... would this be bandwidth issue? hope i could get the entire file ... thanks again!
  5. Working on it. One week or so. looking forward to it
  6. i'll be happy to do some tests for you if that is what you require? how can i help?
  7. hi sir! my apologies for following-up on this ... but would it be alright to enable downloading threads again with big file size? i'd really appreciate it!
  8. thanks guys! my only inquiry now is if we could have a cabbed ver for this w/ silent switches so we could slipstream this (of course for me i'd be using this with HFSLIP) thanks again!
  9. hi! i currently use 4.5 via HFSLIP (while awaiting for 4.6 final rel) & i would just like to know if this is compatible? could there be options for this to be slipstreamed or silently installed? lastly, please enlighten me as to the order of install: xpize needs to be installed 1st then xpize darkside? thanks!
  10. he! he! totally agree with you here hulkviper ... i forgot booting to 1 pc after quite sometime (where i used OEM cd) and i couldn't activate anymore ...
  11. these updates may be sorted according to the column headers ... the only downside to this though is that HF build dates are usually in different formats (either dd, mm, yy or mm, dd, yy) ... but just like what was already posted by rado, a very good example would be those that require a certain update to come 1st before others
  12. i believe nLite offers a couple of options while in the set up stage (black & classic) ... if you want to do more, you might want to check on http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/
  13. ha! ha! hi Tain! ... it's just that i like reading stuff (most especially when i need to go back to some thoughts) when i'm off-line ... oh well, now that you mentioned it, i acually print in fact the entire site: http://www.hfslip.org when it's updated (while i wait for the .pdf format or whatever you guys come up with) .. ... still wish this feature would be available again from MSFN ... thanks!
  14. hi xenithon! it has always been said (& i think there's a tool tip warning in nLite) that to retain wmp compatibility not to remove wmp6.4 ...
  15. sir any update on this please ... i wish to download complete threads ... thanks!
  16. hi TC! would this codec pack be supported: Vista Codec Package v4.3.3 XP-2k3-Vista, x64Components v1.1.0 is for Vista x64 only ... just asking ... thanks!
  17. hi Ville! addons differ to the regular exes in such a way that these have been repacked (& some modded) & may all be slipstreamed ... you don't have to worry anymore as to how it would be extracted ... thanks to addon makers for ensuring their addon works flawlessly :thumbsup ... as already mentioned, you can just use this addon & simply put these all in the Hotfixes & Update Packs section ...
  18. thanks xper! i just hope this would be resolved anytime soon ... i for 1 when not online, like to read off-line files for reference ...
  19. hi! it'd seem our problem in downloading topics is back ... this time though my downloads are limited to 104kb ... a lot smaller than the file itself ... kindly try this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=Pr...129&t=69809
  20. hi TC! both addons actually worked in previous test rels ... have used the pdf reader already ... prior to this run, both actually were installed with no problem ... could there be other culprits?
  21. hi! using 1.4.1 (which actually shows as 70306 in HFSLIP.log) seemed flawless ... however, no wmp11 (i used boooggy's addon) & ie7 was installed ... to add to this, most addons were not installed too ... in earlier runs (using test rels), these problems were not present ... attached are some files that might help resolve the issue ... thanks!
  22. hi cyberdemon! glad to know that your issue has already been resolved ... perhaps, it had something to do with compression ... strange though as i've always had the same file in my HFCAB dir & never had this prob
  23. hi boooggy! in relation to posts 60 & 62, would it still be alright to slipstream some newer HFs (via HFSLIP or nLiye) not currently supported by the slipstreamer? thanks!
  24. see threads here: OEMScan - Automated Multi Manufacture Pre-Activation Utility Dell OEM and WPA Trouble with slipstream Dell OEM Win XP Building a Pre-activated CD from an existing installation Download the Windows OEM Installation Kit - NEW
