    Why MAC sucks!

    lol, highly amusing.
  2. been a long time user of Daemon, the new version does suck quite bad. i installed it hated it uninstalled and reverted back to the v3 pretty quick. as the saying goes. newer doesnt always mean better.
  3. i will be building a new performance pc soon and i already have the case i want picked out. its the Antec P180 there are images of someones case here http://www.dynamiks.net/pics/P180/P180%20002.jpg http://www.dynamiks.net/pics/P180/P180%20003.jpg http://www.dynamiks.net/pics/P180/P180%20004.jpg http://www.dynamiks.net/pics/P180/P180%20005.jpg http://www.dynamiks.net/pics/P180/P180%20006.jpg http://www.dynamiks.net/pics/P180/P180%20007.jpg http://www.dynamiks.net/pics/P180/P180%20008.jpg and heres the info for it heres the info page for the case http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=81800 i had a quick look on the american antec site and its $169 so thats under ur budget too. im sure many ppl who own this case will tell u its a absolutely beautiful case and well worth the money.
  4. ive never had ludicous kill either, how many ppl do u have to kill to get that ? nice video too.
  5. Directly from Barts site What is the technical difference between BartPE and Windows PE? Target - Microsoft sees Windows PE as an installation platform. Bart sees Windows PE as the next generation rescue platform. Start-menu - Bart's builder gives you a simple, dynamic and powerful start-menu (Nu2Menu, see screenshots). Microsoft's builder does not give you a start-menu, it uses a command prompt. Build from - Bart's builder can also build from Windows XP Home Edition or from a preinstalled Windows XP version (without CD). Plugins - With PE Builder you can easily add applications, drivers or tools using plugins. This makes PE Builder extremely powerful. The end user can even combine plugins from different software vendors into one CD image. Network support - PE Builder includes its own network support tools (bartpe/penetcfg) to start TCP/IP and Microsoft Client. The TCP/IP settings like: dynamic/static ip-address, subnet-mask, default gateway, dns-servers computer-name, workgroup can be changed on-the-fly. You can create pre-defined profiles, that you can select. Microsoft Windows PE only supports DHCP or fixed settings using winbom.ini. Also there is a plugin (NwDskPe) created by Erwin Veermans that loads the Netware Client on BartPE (IP/IPX). Fileshare - BartPE can start File Sharing support so you can connect to the system through a share. VNC - Because of the File Sharing support you can also run UltraVNC. Dos support - Bart's builder has a plugin called "dospe". License - Microsoft Windows PE is only for Enterprise/OEM customers (see previous), BartPE is for everybody! 64-Bit - Bart's builder does not support Windows 64-bit editions. Personally i would say BartPE is an improvement over WinPE in that it allows alot more functionality to be added to it, and the abilty to create your own custom plugins is a godsend.
  6. the unattended guide states which ones are which ntoskrnl.exe - Windows Single Processor Kernel ntkrnlmp.exe - Windows Multi Processor Kernel ntkrnlpa.exe - Windows Single Processor Kernel with more then 3 GB of RAM ntkrpamp.exe - Windows Multi Processor Kernel with more then 3 GB of RAM
  7. Although this is true for most ppl i havent had any antivirus/spyware program installed on this pc for over a year and have yet to get infected with anything other than a couple of harmless cookies. It all depends entirely on the user and how competant they are at securing theyre pc and not downloading or installing content that cant be gauranteed as safe.
  8. as far as i know you wont find any antispy/malware scanner that can scan an install package. this is why it is always a good idea to never install content that you cant gaurantee is safe.
  9. i wouldnt advise using an nlited source for making a BartPE CD if you have removed components from it. i tried that the first time i used BartPE thinking it would make my PE cd smaller. in the end it caused BartPE to just spit out hundreds of errors saying id removed this that n the other. if u have simply just added things like patches and ryanvms update pack then it should be fine to use. yes it is very possible to add apps to ur BartPE Cd. there are many plugins available on the bartpe site with full instructions on what u need todo in order to add them to ur cd. with regard to drivers. im not entirely sure about this subject. i do know that you can add BTS driver pack very easily as ive seen many PE cds with them included so that they will allow large disk support. with regard to shells. it is very possible to add other shells. the default one used is nu2Menu. i personally chose to remove alot of crap from the XPE plugin and have explorer as my shell so that it feels more like windows, and yes all of it is a pain in the a** and alot of hardwork as well as extensive testing. Best make sure u have VMware or VirtualPC as im sure ull run into numerous problems along the way. ive only made a couple of PE cds and i can tell u. They do take up alot of time and youll find most of it will be trial and error to start off with. the best place to get help for making a BartPE CD is over on The CD Forum hope this has helped.
  10. no framework 2.0 wouldnt need 1.1 to be installed first. im pretty sure the .net framework doesnt install anything to program files dir although im sure someone here will be able to give a definite answer.
  11. depends entirely on ur pc spec and how much u have removed from the installation. i have a stripped down version and even on this PIII 450 192mb ram machine it takes me just over 35mins to install.
  12. Opera does if i had to choose between those two poor browsers id still pick firefox. IE7 is absolutely awful. i hated it and immediately removed it.
  13. if u have photoshop u should ditch PSP as its nowhere near as good. all you should need todo is make a rectangular selection fill it with white or a gradient and then set that layers opacity to something like 25%. then make a new layer and use the text tool to simply type something over the top.
  14. the amount of ppls pcs i have to fix due to norton being installed on it and it constantly just wasting resources and not actually catching anything. its a joke. mcafee is only marginally better but better all the same.
  15. Something funny one of my friends showed me the other day. Dear Tech Support: Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help! Thanks, A Troubled User. ______________________________________ Dear Troubled User: This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony-Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application, "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE, because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5, and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0! WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system. Best of luck, Tech Support
  16. if u want speed and security then go for opera if u want slow, resource hogging and a million extensions go for firefox if ur too lazy or dont know what firefox or opera are then stay with IE and either get infected or run 50million antispyware/adware programs at the same time. if u want an ugly hideous all in 1 browser that tries todo 50million things then stick with netscape.
  17. Jasper Carrot was always funny, Chris Rock is good too and so is Lee Evans

  20. it should certainly be released sometime within this year, whether or not ppl choose to buy it is another matter. Personally i wont go near it with a 10ft bargepole as its going to be full of bugs and exploits that will get picked on relentlesly. i never buy any MS OS the same year it comes out as its just not worth the hassle.
  21. did u make sure u set [unattended] OemPreinstall = Yes
