yes i am trying to build a live xp cd so that it can dualboot with my UA Xp and give the option. instead of it being XPE its XPRE XP Recovery Environment which im going to pack loads of useful tools along with things like nero. winamp, vlc

just wondering what Shell you are using for it. because when i last looked on the ubcd4win site it was using Nu2Menu start menu still which isnt what i want. i would ideally like to have the full explorer shell start menu in classic theme.

WinMX has shutdown completely it seems after receiving one of the letters. i had been using it since napster was taken offline and made a pay p2p over 3 yrs ago. the worst part is that i was a big part of the Chat Rooms on there and it being taken offline suddenly means that many of my friends from there are no longer able to get in contact with me. DEATH TO THE RIAA !!! They cant win but only force users to either develop or find other p2p programs.

Ive seen alot of informationa dn discussions about BartPE going on in the WinPE forum so i thought i would come here and mention that maybe a BartPE forum would be a good extension to the board.

There is no BartPE Forum on here. although many ppl seem to discuss it on here. maybe a BartPE forum for Msfn would be a good idea. *goes off to add it to forum suggestions*

simply install it into windows ur on now. then take the files that have been installed and modify them until they will integrate into ur XPCD. i replaced the original luna crap with the nice royale them. you can follow the guide Here to replace the theme.

hi i am new to PE cds and i am using BartPE to build one. i know this is a WinPE Forum but ive seen many ppl make them with BartPE. i am using the XPE plugin to make it so that i have the explorer shell. i have followed the guide ( rather shoddy imho) to try and make it it built all well and fine but once i burnt it to disk and went to test it i got a few errors. it boots up and loads the desktop wallpaper then loads the XPlogon and AutoRamresizer. then it gives me these errors. they were XPERunOnce Error while executing : browseui.dll Error while executing : shdocvw.dll Error while executing : urlmon.dll it then gives these msgs Windows Update An error has occured while setting up "browseui.dll". This error has been logged. installation will continue. An error has occured while setting up "shdocvw.dll". This error has been logged. installation will continue. An error has occured while setting up "urlmon.dll". This error has been logged. installation will continue. after that it tries to load the explorer start menu and taskbar but it just vanishes again and i cant load it from the task manager. i was wondering if anyone would be able to give me a much clearer guide on how to build the cd with the xpe plugin. also when i looked at the iso when it finished building it was an astonishing 480mb and thats with just Nu2menu and Xpe plugin, nothing else. which i think is way to large for what it should be. any help or guides that are clearer than the one on the XPE plugin site. also ive had a look around for guides on how i can install it to HDD for testing but i cant seem to find any that are actually decent and understandable. so if someone could maybe point me out there too. many thanks

Although the 9800pro is a good card putting it in an AGP 4x Mobo is really going to degrade its performance. you could probably save about $50 and get a 9700pro and then buy yourself a new mobo with Agp 8x whilst your at it.

Other : UltraEdit-32 syntax highlighting and auto indenting makes it very easy to write and maintain all the webpage code.

the icon is still in the cache and that is why its showing up. if you have Microsofts free TweakUI which you can download from Here then under the repair section on the left you can rebuild the icons.

thank god i dont buy nasty overpriced intel rubbish then.

simply rename the old ones to .bak then place the new ones there instead and reboot, and if really necessary rebuild the icon cache. takes all of 30 seconds todo.

no offence but sounds abit pointless to me, why not just drag and drop the files u want into the I386 direcotry after u have integrated the xpize.

been running xp on both my athlon 2000 512mb pc2700 ram and a PIII 450 192mb pc133 ram and it works smoothly on both.

im running Xp on PIII 450, 192mb ram 8mb video at the moment and it runs fine.

firstly id go and get a new ide cable and try it how it used to be, if not that then check your bios settings to make sure that they are correct. as for when it said missing NTLDR that can easily be fixed using your xp cd and using recovery console. hope that helps abit.

ive been using shareaza quite a while now and it works wonders, 4 different networks all in 1. those include : Gnutella , Gnutella 2, eDonkey, Bittorrent.

theres two options, first is using CMDOW and the second option is to use NirCmd

Winrar seems to be the best option there, an extra 1hr 40mins just for an extra 30mb saved space just isnt worth it. imo

Thanks, with regard to the norwegian version if i can get a copy of the setup.exe then i should be able to get one done. there are error dialogs that would need translating so ill post those msgs on here for translating.
