utorrent by default stores all its settings in %APPDATA%\utorrent. this will more than likely be stored on C:\ take all of the files from the appdata\utorrent folder and place them in the same folder as utorrent.exe which should be on ur large partition. You should find ur problem fixed

i use resource hacker scripts all the time for modifying my shell32.dll , msgina.dll and explorer.exe i have it all setup and ready to be used. you can download the set i use Here

the Winupdates spyware also hides ur system32 folder and adds a couple of .com files

i just use resource hacker script, then i simply save all the resources from the old one run the script and then the new one has been updated with all my icons/bitmaps.

Not really too bothered about Vista anymore, i probably wont even think about getting it until a year after its release. what i would like to know is when SP3 will be released for XP and what sorta extra crap....i mean features they will be including.

ppl are allowed to give their own input on the discussion. i can safely say that selling an nlited or xpcreated version of an XP Disc would be completely against the law. which is kind of what the author of this thread sounds like they intend on doing.

Seen this problem quite alot lately, heres a few things you can try 1. Start by doing a SFC /SCANNOW 2. Check your hosts file. 3. Download Hijack This. reboot your pc and then run a scan and save to a logfile. Paste the contents of the logfile into this post so we can see what you have running that might be causing it.

havent used pg in a while now but it could be that the driver has locked up, try running the fix driver thing that comes with it. also it might install itself as a service in which case u will have to end the service in order to close it.

would be useful to know what VNC program you are using. i personally use UltraVNC and it works like a charm.

why are you posting this here ? maybe you should go and post it over on the videolan or media player classic websites. Also i am not keen on media player classic as its rather slow and tends to crash alot when trying to use certain codecs. Koolplaya is a much better small freeware alternative.

not sure if i am right or not, but selling a program like xpcreate or nlite would be against the law. Selling copies of XP that have had XPCreate or Nlite used on them would also be against the law. This is why there are no ways to purchase the programs for commercial use.

If the CD is damaged and you own a legal copy of MGI photosuite, you should be able to just request a new cd or download from MGI themselves. They should be more than happy to help you.

i think that most of the comments over on the linspire forum are pretty bias when it comes to microsoft, i was lucky enough to get a free copy of linspire when they had that promotion a while back, i was not impressed with it one bit, i would much rather just use a copy of debian or gentoo. I personally think MS have been very clever with what they are doing with Vista, by offering all those different versions at different price ranges it is only going to persuade more ppl to purchase the windows based OS instead of trying to find a free linux alternative which proove to be far more complicated to the average user.

theres a review of it over on toms hardware i think, it shows how u can boot windows in 9secs.

good design but the e you need to either make from scratch or be more careful with the eraser tool, it looks abit like you have used the magic eraser and its taken off the crisp edges abit. the background gradient looks abit to "patchy" like a ocean ripple effect. keep on practising though, it took me a while to get used to all the tools+effects and how you can use them.

you should drop the Intel rubbish and go with AMD that would be the first thing id change.

download Resource Hacker. Open shell32.dll using it and then right click the resources u want and save them. edit them using ur fave program eg Photoshop, once u have made the new bitmaps right click the resource u wish to replace and simply put ur new one in its place, save the file. reboot ur pc to test the new shell32.dll if u are happy with it then modifype it and makecab it and integrate it back into ur xp cd source.

Bitmap Resources 240-247 should be the ones to edit.

you should just be able to restart explorer.exe and it will be changed
