i said Replace, i dont want to just place them in the cursors folder, so far i have replaced everything without the use of $OEM$ folders or self extracting archives.

Was hoping someone might know how to replace the default windows cursors with the fedora inverse cursors.

sounds like you might have data execution prevention enabled for all programs. you could goto Control Panel > System > Advanced Tab > Performance Settings > Data Execution Prevention. and see if its set for all program or just windows services.

oh right ok, umm because im an avid µTorrent and Opera supporter, and i like to let ppl know there are better programs out there than firefox and azureus.

im just wondering why u want to use an icl instead of just replacing the icons in the shell32.dll and then modifype it and recab it.

it go with tmpgenc myself for converting to mpeg-1,2. if u have a divx compatible dvd player then u can use Gordian Knot Rip Pack and rip to Xvid and then just put the 700mb avi file onto a normal cdr as data and it will play perfectly

why ? the transfer files and settings wizard was already a modified file, i merely overwrote the migwiz.exe from the cab file with the modified copy. and the installshield i just swapped the grapics with a suitable alternative, as for the menu its just the same as one i previously did just i unfortunately lost the source ofr it when my hdd crashed and the download links are invalid. so i have had to start from scratch. If XPero doesnt agree with any of it then i apologize, im just trying to help ppl make theyre xp discs as XPized as possible.

For all you ppl that want the complete XPized feel to ur CD u can simply replace ur original copies with these Xpized versions. Files and Settings Transfer Wizard Download Remote Desktop Connection Download Note: The Remote Desktop Connection is taken from Windows Server 2003 as it has a slight advantage over the XP version in that it can Auto Reconnect incase of a problem.

just a small note, another good player is Koolplaya as it works extremely with with ffdshow, quicktime and real alternative codecs.

if ur using the cmd box and u have spaces in ur folder location u should enclose it in " eg msiexec /a "C:\PS9\adobe photoshop cs2.msi" hope that helps.

VLC is definately better, KMP looks like a cheap knock off of winamp.

dont suppose i could get hold of a copy of remote desktop that comes with 2003 as auto reconnecting would be pretty useful to have. ill ask this here anyway but does anyone know of a suitable grapics file to use from the XPize pack for the RDC installer. i ask this because i plan on editing the installshiled msi and replace the graphics so that its "XPized" just like the transfer settings and files wizard.

i havent used object dock in a while but im pretty sure it will accept .ico and .png to be used as icons. one way of doing it would be to use Resource Hacker open the shell32.dll thats located in C:\Windows\System32 and then right click the icon group and select Save [icon Group] resources, select an empty folder and save the entire icon group resource into it. then in object dock u can simply select the icon u wish to use from that folder. alternatively if you can select icons from within executables or dlls using object dock just select the shell32.dll and find the corresponding icon u wish to use from within it. hope that helps.

another option is to build a new setup file using NSIS as that can also execute multiple cmds during an installation.

sounds like nmx has explained it all pretty much spot on with alot of good references to different products that would suit ur needs. as for the router side of things if i had the cash and a choice between netgear and cisco i would always pick cisco without a doubt.

some ppl may grill me for saying this but Funpicdo php hosting and sql. so long as no single file is over 1mb, that does rule out using vbulletin and it seems theyre servers are setup in a wat that means the lo-fi version of invision power board wont work. abit crap but what do u expect. its free.

vmware wins hands down in pc emulation. surprised u didnt list virtual pc in there although even if u did vmware would still be the best choice.

both clients are garbage nowdays, BitComent is just an absolute disgrace. Although it doesnt use java is it still quite heavy on resource usage, also its p*ss poor implmentation of DHT/Peer Exchange has caused it to be ban on nearly every major tracker site i use. Azureus is a great client and has alot of things that can be done with it, its only let down is the heavy resource usage due to the java runtime environment, its still the best overall client purely because its cross platform. if you want a windows client then there is no other choice but µTorrent as it easily outperforms any other.

bought a maxtor, it completely failed after 6months, on my replacement one now and its still abit strange, makes alot of noise compared to my old ones. id have to say WD are my fave
