  2. OT: Most of the official Pale Moon forum(s) can be accessed and read anonymously ; it's only a small subset that indeed requires an account to be read, among them the "The Bulletin Board/Off-Topic" subforum (it's invisible to those browsing "The Bulletin Board" anonymously ) ...
  3. So XP is still actively targeted? Unrealistic example, but still, one wrong step and baam!
  4. After changing the link to the actual announcement instead of some blog, it is written as if Copilot is a front end for various LLMs and other similar systems.
  5. I don't remember the last time I used Microsoft's start menu on anything past Windows XP.
  6. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me, huh? I really doubt that was the case. It wasn't long ago another lost soul wandered to the wrong forum, though. https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=31164 Firefox folks hate on Pale Moon folks, Pale Moon folks on hate New Moon folks and the Earth keeps on spinning. Nothing new. Edit: @DanR20 @roytam1 Aye, that x.com user agent override works. Weird redirects.
  7. I Went To C:\ and its there but when i try to delete it it says cant delete because its running in background
  8. @roytam1 The original Bios for the Shuttle Hot 433 vers. 1..3 is from AMI. My modded 2001 Bios is from Award. The Bios is hard coded, so just change the name will never work. I can ask at git, for to integrate my Bios also Dietmar
  9. Hello. Is there a way to change the COM port numbers or reassign them in Windows 98 SE? Thanks.
  10. I didn't mean the digital world but the real one. The digital world is more of an illusion such as vitual reality is.

  12. Very likely there is not that option in XP, see: https://duvoice.com/support/howto/windows/perfmonreset Do you have another XP machine? jaclaz
  13. @reboot12 Thank you very much for the trick. Regards
  14. Maybe share a screen recording so someone can help you?
  15. Today an extension I use was transitioned to MV3. Read the notice: It is therefore highly likely that some MSFN members using Operating Systems prior to W.7- 8.1 + Chromium-based browsers from June 2024 will not have full functionality with some extensions they use. I would like to advise these MSFN members who are using a Chromium- based browser from version 110 and above (before that the policy will not work) to put this policy in their registry: ExtensionManifestV2Availability Those who need help can ask in this thread: https://msfn.org/board/topic/186196-do-you-use-policies-in-your-browsers/ Thank you for your attention.
  16. I don't think I'll be far from truth saying that the Copilot is just a Microsoft rebrand of ChatGPT with modified GUI. The article suggests that this so called "Notebook" is an extension to Copilot, I don't see a reason why Microsoft/OpenAI wouldn't be able to implement this feature in ChatGPT too.
  17. Yep, saw that. Somebody posted a screencap because now you have to be signed in to be able to read that forum.
  18. Greetings, I am glad to be a member of the forum. As announced here, Microsoft Copilot now includes a Notebook feature. This is an attractive feature that I would like to know how many Windows users have. Is it similar to ChatGPT?
  19. I'm already below my monitor's default setting but It doesn't change anything for me even with lowest settings. Maybe I have some kind of sensitivity. Anyway I also came across another solution for Firefox : 1) Disable Hardware Acceleration 2) In about:config change "layers.acceleration.force-enabled" to "True" 3) Restart browser and everything works smoothly and colours are the way they should be (even in RGB Limited)
  20. Hey guys, every time I start my XP I get the following entry in the EventViewer Event ID: 3012 Type: Error Source: LoadPerf The performance strings in the Performance registry value is corrupted when process Performance extension counter provider. BaseIndex value from Performance registry is the first DWORD in Data section, LastCounter value is the second DWORD in Data section, and LastHelp value is the third DWORD in Data section. Then I get two info messages: Performance counters for the WmiApRpl (WmiApRpl) service were removed successfully. The Record Data contains the new values of the system Last Counter and Last Help registry entries. Performance counters for the WmiApRpl (WmiApRpl) service were loaded successfully. The Record Data contains the new index values assigned to this service. And when I reboot, the same thing happens. By reading on the web they all seem to suggest the LODCTR /R command from the command line, however on XP it seems to be returning a list of commands and in particular I can see: LODCTR /R:<FileName> restore perf registry strings and info using <FileName> So... the question is: what's "filename"? I tried to cd %Systemroot%\System32 lodctr perfci.ini and then rebooted, but it didn't work, I've got the same message back.
  21. ... Not a coincidence, for sure , but this very same YT clip was the topic of a Pale Moon Forum thread that soon escalated to name-calling and bad-mouthing MSFN members using the New Moon browser on WinXP today ...
  22. @Fedor - The latest version crashed for me after a while on vcruntime dll... It was stable for a day though... I set the tab process count to 3 from 1, maybe that's why. I have to go back to Thorium for now.
  23. All links to Windows OS ISO have been removed. Do not post links to the ISO on the forum.
