Dave-H Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Supermium 126.0.6478.261 R7 is now out, apparently the last 126 version. A 132 version is due in February. I don't think I will bother to update again until the 132 version is released. 4

Jody Thornton Posted January 27 Posted January 27 On the GitHub portal, it's mentioned that v132 will incorporate new UI features. I wonder what those are? I hope not the tabs button on the top left. I would LOVE square tabs, just like Quantum, old Vivaldi and Edge. 1

It'd be much more productive to write on github. The creator doesn't visit us anymore, he won't see your wishes. 1

Seeing how Supermium follows all modern trends, I'd rather assume it will be similar to the standard version 132, as we saw before. Take all those "experiments" features, for example. And I too want the classic design they dumped in favour of the new. 2

I'm patiently waiting to see what those are also. I'm hoping big time that one of them is to return the "normal blue" title bar instead of the stupid baby-blue/sky-blue or whatever current Chrome uses. I only just downloaded the most-recent Supermium and I haven't ran it yet. I still remain very optimistic towards Supermium. 1

NotHereToPlayGames Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Unfortunately, or fortunately, whichever way you look at, my "issues" with Supermium ARE being made by other GitHub members. Sad to say, the author's replies were not inline with expectations. Last I recall, have not read last couple of changelogs, things like "sync" are being kept while other things are being "ungoogled". This is not an "ungoogled" browser but the author does have a slight degree of doing anyway what he cited months ago would not be done. Progress is still being made to make it truly "ungoogled". Remember though that I say this having downloaded the most recent version but not having ran it yet.

VistaLover Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) PortableApps.com have just released Supermium-v126-r7 (they had skipped r5+r6 ) in PAF format: https://portableapps.com/news/2025-01-27--supermium-portable-126.0.6478.261-R7-released https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/supermium-portable The bulky package contains both the 32/64-bit Supermium variants; on a x64 OS, the 64-bit browser is launched by default, on a x86 OS, well, just the 32-bit one (in the latter case, you can free up disk space by deleting the ".\App\Supermium" directory) ... After a long time with Serpent (still my main browser) I finally installed Supermium (R7, ungoogled) due to its AVIF support and it works well and if you install "simple grey" theme, you get nice rounded tabs and good for eyes. 2
