Also, some other pages on the site are just showing as white pages in Supermium, and the same pages look fine in Firefox and Edge. Notice the big difference in the uBlock Origin count numbers on the two browsers. This is probably relevant, but disabling uBlock does not solve the problem! It's the same in an incognito window in Supermium too. I can confirm that this is not a Supermium issue, but it is the Windows Version that is making the difference. My Supermium 126 renders your (and VistaLover) view in Win10. But the same exact Supermium 126 carried over to XP (no flag changes, no command line changes, no changes whatsoever) renders the version without the elements above and immediately below the red bar. I didn't dig any deeper than that. Edited March 6 by NotHereToPlayGames

Correction. It is something inside Supermium. I get the "correct" rendering (includes elements above and immediately below red bar) in 360Chrome v13.5 in both XP and in Win10. So that rules out it being the OS. But I do not think it is flag or command line. 1

Supermium transmits a lot of sensitive info, including the OS, whereas in Chrome 360 ClientHints are switched off. In CentBrowser and CatXP, too. So no problems with them. 1
NotHereToPlayGames Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Perhaps a GitHub ticket needs created? Just-downloaded no-changes Supermium v132 in XP x86 - Just-downloaded no-changes Supermium v132 in Win10 x64 -
NotHereToPlayGames Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) I don't think that it is Client Hints. Repeating Conspiracy Theories over and over does not help find a solution. v132 has a flag to disable Client Hints and that is having no effect on the rendering of britishgas.co.uk v122 pre-dates Client Hints and changing User Agent has no effect on the rendering of britishgas.co.uk Needs to become a GitHub Issue. NotHereToPlayGames Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) That's from Official Ungoogled, not Supermium. I only run Supermium from inside VMs and I've devoted enough time to this before leaving for work as it is. The author uses the Official Ungoogled patches. The results "should" be the same. I have not confirmed this directly. No time to at the moment. I leave the rest of this "debate" for the rest of you. Moving on... "Toodles"... Edited March 6 by NotHereToPlayGames

Supermium is about what, 47 percent brighter than Ungoogled?
Dave-H Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Thanks everyone, as always! A lot of food for thought there. Some more information that I should have given the first time. I'm using Supermium 126.0.6478.260 R6. Off-topic here of course, but I'm using the 64 bit version on Windows 10, and the British Gas site looks exactly the same there, so it's presumably not an OS issue. I'm not using a loader on Windows 10, but I am using Chrome+ which gives me the additional function of always opening bookmarks in new tabs, something that I had got used to having in 360Chrome. Unfortunately Chrome+ does not work on XP, or I would be using it there as well! This is my version information page on Windows 10 - A lot more 'out of the box' than the XP installation of course, as most of the tweaks needed on XP are not needed on 10. This is really quite puzzling, as I'm using a recent Chromium version here. It will be interesting to see if the problem is still there in Supermium 132 when I get around to updating to it.
