You're welcome. To get good blocking results the combination of the used filter lists is very important. But in some cases, one has to create additional filters under "My filters" to get rid of more or at best all ads.

There are, but you need to choose only the best ones, since their soldering isn't always good. The first image is with an additional power cable (the cap on the photo is simply a filter against spikes, it can be directly connected to a PSU via molex, the second photo is a simple extender.

Win32 aims at a much bigger crowd rather than us, such folks care about automatic updates, Googel sync, DRM, Nvidia "shield" or whatever ir's called. Just read what they order at the github's page. It's understandable, esp. if we consider the browser seem to follow a commercial route.

Personally, I never run "installers". In this case, you only need to use 7-ZIP (and extract TWICE). The FIRST extraction will give you the progwrp.dll file, MANUALLY place that in the Windows\system32 folder. The SECOND extraction will give you the Supermium files (that will not run unless you performed the MANUAL first extraction and MANUALLY placed the .dll into your system32 folder). I only tried the 32bit just to see if it does "work" (it does!) WITHOUT the need of running an "installer".

You can try my version. It no longer depends on Thunderbird application ID, all relevant changes are in js/vapi-background.js, Hopefully all remains well with it, a one line change - adding Epyrus' application ID in one expression in the mentioned file - would have been easier, but the other way should be more correct.

Guilty. That's a HW install (x99 board). Plagued with the typical 4th - 13th gen Vista boot issues (black scree ~1 out of 3 times), but once it is up, everything's fine, been using it without issues.

I'm watching the streaming version, it only has the simple, outdated by decades Dolby 5.1, probably it would have more depth and atmosphere with DTS 7.1. Some good ideas are surely present in the film, some scenes could be shorter (too soapy).

I'm super used to that. Back in the day I also bought two SSDs but of different brands. A Kingston (works great) and a Samsung (just a bit faster). A friend of mine with a lot of knowledge in technical service always told me that no matter how much you take care of the system, after a certain period of time it deteriorates due to use and ends up corrupted or broken. That's why one day, when I had no choice but to install XP from scratch and reconfigure it to my liking, I made an image and I always have a way to go back. Never had any problems with damage to the disk itself. Once the image is restored, everything works fine... until after a certain time something starts to fail again. That's why I do incremental images. I've heard that Linux in general is robust and doesn't have this problem of deterioration as Windows. I've tried to research about it to experiment but unfortunately many drivers will never be released and, generalizing, it seems to work fine only on machines with the most common and generic hardware, which is not my case.

True that. I bought back in the 2010s two kingston 128gb SSDNOW, one for my setup, one for my siblings. They stopped using theirs in 2014, and I saved it, while using the one I had originally installed in my setup. All went well until 6 or so months, then it started resembling physical drive issues: lost clusters, bad enumeration, eventually damaged blocks, that would move from place to place. I thought it may have been an end of life switch: dumb SMART reported good conditions, despite extensive use. I replaced it, which forced me to reinstll XP from scratch, as my old images wouldnt recognize the configuration (next time I will try to record and change disk id). To set it up from lipstreaming to tweaks takes two weeks, to get XP to my liking, but I have all already documented stepwise, after years of study, practice and stuborness. If I manage to get this new strip down of tricks xp to run as an image within a linux-mint platform (to run internet applications displayed, within XP, I think i'Il have another 10 years of a good thing. May the fairies of XP help me with my needs.

Hiya there guys. Thanks again for sharing useful knowledge. I was aware of that. I used only uBO but some ads would slip through and that led me to experiment and combine it with AdBlocker Ultimate. That way I was able to block many ads and elements of many sites to my liking and never noticed a memory issue. I've been using both for many months now without any problems but yesterday I had to remove AbU because it was giving me problems with too many sites. I think my system is broken and I will have to go back to an image soon. As I said in season 04, I stopped using uMatrix 'cause I found it super heavy and sites took a long time to load. Recently I discovered nMatrix in the Basilisk extensions page and I'm using it. I think it's great, light, sites load fast and I can block stuff and unwanted behaviors individually. I searched last night for links to the programs to download YouTube videos and couldn't find 'em, so you've been very helpful Mina. I just ran yt-dlp and it's a commands program; laugh at me but obviously I'm not used to that and what I want is the idea of downloading videos using a download accelerator, that's why I was very comfortable using such sites until now. I still will try to see how this programs work, thou I tried to download youtube-dl and it seems that the link is broken. I will continue to investigate. I thank you all again for your help!

You're welcome Dave! Despite what the version number says, the BIOS files inside are newer, they are dated as of late 2010. It's some sort of a BIOS update with the same chip, but manufactured by Acer. I extracted the update, it's much newer than yours from 2004.

This is a nitpick, but it's not x86 "emulation." Emulation is what you do when your CPU doesn't understand another CPU's instruction set: you use a program that reads the machine code written for the other CPU and does what the other CPU would have done, usually much more slowly. In contrast, the x64 processors do understand the x86 instruction set and execute x86 instructions natively, so x86 programs run at the same speed they would on a "true" x86 processor. Of course it still won't be as fast as x64 code, because you're manipulating data 4 bytes at a time vs. 8. So there's still a speed penalty compared to a 64-bit app. (Plus, 32-bit code also has that pesky 4GB addressable RAM limit.) So I can understand why you generally prefer 64-bit apps, even if your terminology was a bit wrong. OTOH, we're talking about an email client here, not an AI engine. How much RAM and speed could it need? Your preference for 64-bit apps is understandable, but I wouldn't make it into a religion.
