AstroSkipper
@dmiranda And LinkedIn seems to work in Serpent 52, too. So I don't know what you are actually talking about. And I can't see that the end is "nigh" for many websites in Windows XP. Edited June 17 by AstroSkipper Update of content

buyerninety
Thanks for the info, VistaLover. Well, @AstroSkipper, for instance, here's a happening using Serpent v52.9.0 (2024-06-13) (64-bit) on Win Pro x64 Ver 2003 SP1, https://www.etsy.com/c/clothing?click_key=d079d75d9c88b505b073d8b6fc7beb6b5e64105a%3A1234797960&click_sum=af38720e&ref=catnav_breadcrumb-0&explicit=1 What happens is a line of text "Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker", is displayed (even if adblocker is disabled), and then is seen from, apparently, geo.captcha-delivery.com , a 'slide the puzzle to the right' picture which, even when correctly solved, just gives a 'Puzzle Solved' information... and then does nothing, no button to click to progress beyond the puzzle webpage (I assume it's supposed to automatically progress upon puzzle completion but that's not occuring?). I've seen a few websites beginning to use this puzzle in the last couple of months... same result, no progression beyond the puzzle webpage. Comments? Even Copilot doesn't know, haha.: Quote That’s quite remarkable! Windows XP’s enduring popularity in Armenia defies the usual trends we see with operating systems. While I don’t have specific data on the reasons behind this surge, it’s intriguing to witness such loyalty to a vintage OS. Perhaps it’s a testament to its reliability or familiarity. 🤔🖥️
NotHereToPlayGames
LOL This may explain it. If "lower middle-income", they're accepting DONATED computers from better-off countries.
UCyborg
They have other things to worry about, you probably wouldn't want to live there. How much does it even take to run Win10? My old heap of junk runs it, I'm sure it's worthless on the market.

Puzzles from geo.captcha-delivery.com do neither work in New Moon 28 nor in Serpent 52, but, for example, in Mypal 68.14.2b. You can report it to "upstream", of course in such a way as described by @Mathwiz in this post: https://msfn.org/board/topic/185966-my-browser-builds-part-5/?do=findComment&comment=1267837. Personally, I do never visit www.etsy.com. If I had to, I would use a browser which can solve these puzzles like Mypal 68, or I throw such garbage to my Android tablet as usual. I reported it back in mypal's thread. Where there should be a snapshot of a post, there appears an "undefined" tag (also in messages now too). IDA-RE-things
Hi, @roytam1. So , can you create such PDB's with fixups for Serpent ?
dmiranda
In mypal (reported in the corresponding thread) where a post text snapshot should be there now appears an "undefined" tag (same with messages, beginning last week). You need to be logged in. In basilisk (vanilla), in my set up, I can't login (reported in prior versions of this thread a year ago or so). In my hardened profile, I get a blank page or The connection has timed out thingie.
