Install NT 4 SP5 in a VM (better in a VM because you can take snapshots) or on a real PC and replace kernel32 with that one. I will remind you that the PE checksum must be corrected before using it or else you will bugcheck. And you cannot redistribute these files publicly in the forum.2 points

Well, if any web sites are doing that, it's pretty stupid! The "bitness" of your OS doesn't say anything about your CPU speed, or number of cores, or how much RAM you have (only that you might have 4GB or more). But it wouldn't surprise me either - you could probably infer that "on average" a 64-bit OS runs on a "better" PC than a 32-bit one, and web sites do lots of stupid things, it seems.... Anyhow, depending on what you want to spoof, here's what general.oscpu.override should contain: Windows 64-bit (64-bit browser): Windows NT x.y; Win64; x64 Windows 64-bit (32-bit browser): Windows NT x.y; WOW64 Windows 32-bit: Windows NT x.y And the OS slice of your user agent should match. Here's what general.platform.override should contain: Windows 64-bit: Win64 Windows 32-bit: Win32 This came from developer.mozilla.com. As I mentioned elsewhere, in the particular case of spoofing "official" Basilisk, you should spoof a 64-bit browser on a 64-bit OS (option 1 above), because it's only available as a 64-bit build. And the Windows version should be at least 6.1, because that's the oldest Windows version "official" Basilisk will run on. (Serpent, in contrast, is available in both flavors, and will run on anything from XP forward.) Edit: As pointed out recently in this thread, the struck words are no longer true. "Official" Basilisk is no longer developed by MCP, and the new developer does release 32-bit builds.2 points

Do you want to upgrade your Windows 7/8/8.1/10 PC to Windows 11, but your PC doesn't meet the requirements? Well then, this tutorial is for you! These are methods that can be found anywhere on the internet, but I wanted to post it here. With this tutorial you should be able to install Windows 11 on any PC that supports Windows 10 x64, as there is no x86 release of Windows 11, so if your processor is IA-32 only, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. If you do have a 64-bit processor, but only 32-bit EFI, and no BIOS access, then I'm afraid that you also can't install Windows 11 on that PC, as again there's no IA-32 release of Windows 11, and there isn't a way to boot 64-bit EFI files on 32-bit EFI (at least for Windows). However, if you are running Windows 7 x86, and have a 64-bit processor, then yes, it is possible to upgrade to Windows 11. I will later post a method on how to do so. Method 1: Install Windows 11 with the Windows 10 Setup (clean install ONLY method, does not work with the modern setup, therefore it cannot upgrade) (best clean install method): 1. Get a Windows 10 x64 ISO. You can do this with the Media Creation Tool, or with Windows ISO Downloader. 2. Copy the contents of the ISO to a folder. Go to sources and delete "install.wim" or "install.esd". 3. Get a Windows 11 ISO 4. Mount the Windows 11 ISO. 5. Go to the sources folder, and copy "install.wim" or "install.esd" 6. Paste the install.wim/esd file into the Windows 10 x64 sources folder. Here’s how to make it into an ISO: 7. Download and install NTLite. https://www.ntlite.com/ 8. Once you have installed it, select "Free", unless you have a license. 9. Click "Add" > "Image directory" 10. Select the Windows 10 setup with the Windows 11 "install.wim/esd" folder. 11. Right click on "install.wim/esd", and click "Create ISO" Method 2: Upgrade/Install Windows 11 with the Windows 10 "appraisesres.dll" file (upgrade + clean install method, this method ONLY works with the Modern Windows Setup, using the other setup will still give you the "This PC can't run Windows 11" error) (WARNING: This method may not work for newer builds. It will definitely work with 21996, some versions of 22000, and maybe also some slightly later builds): 1. Turn off your Wi-Fi. If you don't do this, it will still give you the error. 2. Get a Windows 11 ISO. 3. Copy the contents of the ISO to a folder. Go to sources and delete "appraisesres.dll" 4. Get a Windows 10 x64 ISO. You can do this with the Media Creation Tool, or with Windows ISO Downloader. 5. Mount the Windows 10 x64 ISO. 6. Go to the sources folder, and copy "appraisesres.dll" to the sources folder into the Windows 10 ISO. 7. Paste the file into the "sources" folder in the Windows 11 directory. When you run the setup, it should check to see if it is capable for Windows 10 and not 11. If you want to make this into an ISO, refer to the instructions in Method 1. Method 3: Install Windows 11 using DISM, DISKPART, and BCDBOOT (clean install only) This method only requires a Windows 11 ISO. If you are trying to dual boot on the same hard drive, the partitioning steps will be different. 1. Boot your Windows 11 media 2. Open a command prompt window (You can do this by pressing Shift+F10) 3. Open diskpart by typing in "diskpart" in the command prompt window. If you are installing on BIOS, refer to the Legacy commands. If you are installing on UEFI, refer to the UEFI commands. Legacy: diskpart sel dis 0 clean (this wipes your hard drive) conv mbr cre par prim size=100 form quick fs=ntfs label="System Reserved" assign letter w active cre par prim form quick assign letter c exit UEFI: diskpart sel dis 0 clean (this wipes your hard drive) conv gpt cre par efi size=100 form quick fs=fat32 label="System Reserved" assign letter w active cre par prim form quick assign letter c exit 4. After partitioning the drive, go to the sources folder by typing in "cd /d D:(where your Windows 11 media is)\sources 5. Type in the following commands: dism /apply-image /imagefile:install.wim(.esd) /index:(1 for Home, 6 for Pro) /applydir:C:\ bcdboot C:\Windows /s W: /f ALL bootrec /scanos bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /rebuildbcd 6. Now reboot. Windows setup will then continue normally. If it doesn't boot, run Startup Repair. Method 4: Install Windows with Rufus (clean install only??) (simple method) NOTE: You will need a USB flash drive for this method. 1. Get a Windows 11 ISO and a USB big enough for it. 2. Download Rufus. https://rufus.ie/en/#google_vignette 3. After downloading Rufus, open the application and connect the USB. 4. Click on "Select". Select your Windows 11 ISO. 5. Under image options, you will see three options: "Standard", "Extended", and "Windows To Go". Click on "Extended". This will bypass all of the additional Windows 11 requirements. 6. Click on "Start". After the tool is finished making the ISO, if you want to make this into an ISO, refer to the instructions in Method 1.1 point

I don't think MAT was kicked out. He's been "put in his place" but that's all I've seen thus far. I don't follow it unless folks here post on it. What I've been very eager to see is Mypal 2.0, or whatever it's going to be called, THAT will be a day of celebration in my book. Because, um, Roytam browsers simply can NOT handle the modern web, period. Unfortunate, but TRUE. I've given up on all of Roytam releases.1 point

I was expecting them to kick tobin out of project and stop being hostile. Well I got fear palememe might die as there has been fight between tobin and moonchild. Codebase is solid but I cant recommend it anymore for their hostility towards everyone. Only some of it forks are good.1 point

sometimes you could try close your ears and eyes from world problem out of your reach for a day or even a week and try enjoy life. I have done it and it feels very good. I am not saying blissfully ignore it but have few days off from it. Finnish attitude atleast on more traditional guys like me is not worry too much from things that you cant change. At the end some want you to worry all the time to keep you hooked. All is going crazy but at the end I am happy for what I got. I gotta admit stumbling on this board was one of best things happened on internet as it proved I am not alone with my thoughts.1 point

I wrote about it somewhere in 360 EE sections (where you were quite active too). This one works very good too . Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.81 point

Wow .. hey friend, that was fast I do now recall it was you that wrote that somewhere here in some discussion. My memory is fuzzy at times but I remember bits and pieces I see. Thank you for that advice as well, I will give that a UA a whirl. I hope you somehow find a way to enjoy what you can from the holidays even if the light and scents. Well, it should be quiet for me and I think I need it to be that way1 point

It was me . Yes , your UA choice is very wise . Always choose a low end device (if mobile) and a 32-bit OS. They will load less scripts . This one works good too. Mozilla/5.0 (BeSTOSEver) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.01 point

Hi I'm surprised you're leaving out on soggi.org - tools "Iceape-upx (Suite)" which is a construction that also works very well and has the advantage of integrating "Mail". There is also Arcticfox, the New Moon 27 clone that allows you to add the add-ons planned for Pale Moon, without any modification of the Arcticfox browser1 point

The mirror of latest BNavigator, Firefox 45ESR, MailNews 52, New Moon 26.5/27/28 and Serpent 52/55 builds by @roytam1 has been updated -> soggi.org - tools. changelog: - find out for yourself BTW thx for notification @IXOYE! -------------------------------- @roytam1, I had the time to test the latest builds with Matomo and the Matomo demo page (demo.matomo.cloud) has also been updated to the latest version 4.6.x. Firefox 45ESR 20211218 and New Moon 28 20211218 works great with Matomo, but New Moon 27 20211218 doesn't. Is it possible to let NM27 work again with Matomo? Let me know, if you need any further information! kind regards soggi1 point

IDA Pro does not like to assemble things very well, so you will have to go into the hex view to modify the import calls. In x86, the import calls directly reference the memory address of the import table entry as opposed to an offset. So the hex codes for the import call instruction will be (in little-endian notation): FF 15 B8 C0 F3 77 Local function calls remain offset based, so you can just go to edit -> patch program -> assemble and type in "call 77f01762h".1 point

It was reported 1 month ago... and fixed yesterday. https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/issues/468 Nitter is more or less a one-man project. https://github.com/zedeus/nitter --- "I've been unemployed for over two years with no income, spending time on Nitter is becoming increasingly difficult. If you find Nitter useful and would like to see the features mentioned below implemented, please consider donating. In the past few months I've worked hard to ensure feature parity with Twitter, making parsing and rendering as complete and correct as possible. Along with rewriting the backend to use Twitter's new API, caching has been reworked to cache even more data, making Nitter twice as fast. The next steps are supporting embeds, developing an account system, content archival, adding an API, and more. These tasks require a lot of time, so all help is appreciated." https://liberapay.com/zedeus1 point

We can't all be everywhere and we all have our own favorite sections or threads to read. If you mean Xper, he can be summoned when there is a big problem to solve and he would fall into the category of "web site admin" as you put it. But he is not active in the forum as you can tell and also he is not active in being a hobbyist anymore either. So there may be little reason for him to decide to put in the time and effort to make a change for an older OS or "obscure" browser version.1 point

Right, what D.Draker said. It's not the browser but the JAVASCRIPT that we HAVE TO allow in order to use MSFN.1 point

It's an addon to render Google's PIA web components, at least for two sites, github and gitlab. Firefox 63 and newer have it built in but it's unlikely to be ported to these older versions so addons will have to be written on a site by site basis by the looks of it. https://github.com/JustOff/github-wc-polyfill1 point

So I've been reading a lot about how many cancers THRIVE in low oxygen environments. These masks are changing how we breathe. It's time to hold these people accountable. Their sick fetish is causing real illness. The armed govt agents calling themselves "police" are NOT on the side of the people. Not even close. The only reason you think they are is because of non-stop brainwashing. Open you mind people. See what is right in front of you.1 point

DEP on AlwaysOff: RAM used has 13 MB of gain! Big correction for the result of my RAM used after changing the DEP boot option to AlwaysOff: after 2 days, my Windows, without any further intervention from me, increased the gain after this operation, being another 3 MB less! So now, after restarting Windows, the cumulative gain is 13 MB! RAM used: 275 MB/3071 MB (before this change: 288 MB). (to get this result, you have to wait for about 2 minutes, so that this result stabilizes). Download Core Temp 1.11 to see this in your System Tray.1 point
