dmiranda Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 (edited) I downloaded it, but haven't fully tried it yet. MC-HC is not meant to be run as is (I reckon), unlike VLC. You can really tweak the hell out of MPC-HC, and get a depth of composition, filtering, shading and sound quality that I have made over the years and works for me to watch dvd-br in nearly home theater style. I could do that in the experimental build I linked better than with the official MPC-HC (at least until I could use it in my stri-naked in shinny leather XP -me frankestein in A4, so to speak). mina7601 Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 (edited) Yeah, man. MPC-HC has been my media player for years, for longer even than VLC. I am aware of how many options and how much customization it has over any other media players. Glad that its development is continuing since 2018. Edited December 1, 2023 by mina7601 1

RamonUn Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) x64 version - Couldn't load XPCOM #35 https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/35 reason: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/35#issuecomment-1800114265 EDIT: I know it was the 32 bit version of MyPal68 running on XP64, but I guess it is related. WSC4 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Thanks for the links. I also just found this under closed issues because it is a duplicate: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/316 In a nutshell, he considers it not important, and has no plans to fix it in near future for the XP 64-bit OS.
dmiranda Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Somehow this place, https://www.researchgate.net is broken: cloudfare verification stops it, here and in roytam1's build, where I'm replicating this post in case there are different options (I will blank out the one that doesnt' correspond, and accept @Dave-H o r other moderator ruling about it. Basically, if I have the exact download pdf/doc address, no problem. If I have to go through the interface, cloudfare (surprise, surprise) complicates things the way it does. I tried different suaos, and using firefox 115.0 almost does it in vanilla, but not quite. Thanks. 1

Is there a way to streamline the app compatibility process, or do you have to launch the executable from the program?
UCyborg Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Hard to tell remotely, though crashing in vcruntime140.dll sounds really odd, this library has the most basic C-runtime functions. Maybe look into generating crash dump for someone to analyze? This sounds highly specific case to me... 1

When I 'test" -- I mean to say I'm using it as my daily driver... I have one private window for Youtube logged on to my account, and the normal window for ordinary browsing... I did get WebGL2 working, per your instructions by disabling Angle, and I also have multiprocess mode enabled... I think it is when Youtube is playing a video in that second window and when I am browsing in the normal window that it is triggered... How do you recommend I generate a crash report? I am not really adept at that kind of thing. Thx
AstroSkipper Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 After the recent changes to the search engines in the last versions of Mypal, @feodor2 seems not to have removed some obsolete entries regarding Bing, Wikipedia and stp (Startpage) from his code which lead to errors in the Browser Console. Here is a small excerpt from my Browser Console in Mypal 68.13.7b: Maybe, this can be removed with the next release. Cheers, AstroSkipper 4

Do not post pictures of the crash, this is useless and a waste. If i don't reproduce the crash myself then you may to submit drwatson.log. Drwatson log is usually inside All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson. Minidump also may be usefull. Do not post any irrelevent logs." It also won't matter where to submit your crash report, here at MSFN in this topic or in a new issue at GitHub (https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues), @feodor2 will check both places. 1

Sorry I've ran out of like already but maybe a good thing because its forcing me to reply this morning. I'm not sure if its because I have much disabled and hardware acceleration disabled but I never (not even once) had Mypal crash or witness this blue screen and I've been expecting it. What am I doing wrong or doing right is there something that triggers this blue screen like certain sites because I pretty much look at the same old thing every day but I sometimes have 14 tabs open and I've not had anything happen. ? But if I do, I'll make sure to check the drwatson.log and see if I can find something relative to help the project but I'm not the most knowledgeable member of MSFN (big surprise ) But I'll try.

That are the ones with which Mypal 68.13.7b is now delivered by you as default. In version 68.13.4b, there was still Startpage, and in version 68.13.2b, there were still Bing and Wikipedia. Accordingly, there must still be leftovers in your code that refer to manifest.json files that no longer exist. 1 hour ago, feodor2 said: May be the function ti fix the internal search was never provided, so to be invented. search.json.mozlz4: can either delete a file from the profile or edit it If delete then to add custom search engines, but if you have such. Unfortunately, from a purely linguistic point of view, I can't grasp this content of your reply. Perhaps, you could formulate that a little more clearly. Thanks in advance! AstroSkipper Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 (edited) BTW, I transfer custom search engines by directly editing the code I posted above. I use the mozlz4-edit extension for this. One can read more about that in this post: Cheers, AstroSkipper Edited December 15, 2023 by AstroSkipper 2
