I just need Virtual cd/dvd drive emulator, other than Magic ISO virtual drive, what you are recommend?

The best one I used from 9X/ME days was VirtualDrive from Farstone.  But I can't remember which was the last version before they went to 2000 and XP.  Maybe version 7?  It's been so long I can't remember but it was very easy to use.

If any of those two Jaclaz recommends uses the ISO format I would go with one of those since you could use Daemon Tools for 2000, XP, and up.

The VirtualCD used a proprietary format making it only usable with VirtualCD but it was able to save me from putting the original CDs into the tray.  It could assign multiple drive letters for each CD in case your program used more than one CD you could set it up so each Drive Letter = Disc Number.

The other way is Manually ejecting the VirtualCD then inserting another one in its place to save drive letters but I found that burdensome to do.

Sure they use the .iso format, which is not really-really a file format, BTW, it is just a normal "raw" 1:1 copy of the CD, if you prefer, it is the simplest format possible, an image, unlike the (mostly senseless) proprietary formats of the old days.

As a side note, IMGBURN is compatible with Win9x/Me, so it is the "natural companion" to any of those virtual cd drivers:

Is it still bundling adware? Version 2.5.0.0 was the last before they started this, I hope they have removed it by now.

It has been I believe an on-and-off situation, there are a number of "clean" downloads around, but anyway, I believe it has always been "opt-in" (of course assuming that people read before clicking on OK, which doesn' t happen very often).

Anyway get a portable version:

Not quite "raw". That would include the Sector Headers and ECC for a total of 2352 Bytes per Sector.

Not big change, but i will try it is there some utility capable onscreen (OSD) temperate + performance monitoring for Windows 98 in fullscreen Windows 98 apps (simply something like Afterburner for modern Windows)?

  I know that there is possibility to log these measurements to text file with Aida, but i want something better, otherwise is solution run application in the window.

Yes , correct.

I meant  "raw" in the sense of "dd like", without anything added (no header, no footer, no fancy offsets, no separate index files, etc.).

  If you mention that Is there something like WinISo, but free? Simple drag and drop ISO editor? I now that there is < 100 MB free version of WinISO.
