Still very concerned about IPV6 issue!

Mate I got the exact same results as you did using Windows XP SP3 and Firefox 3.6.13 -
I mean, you don't want to have Photoshop 7 previously installed on the Win XP computer prior to you installing WinINSTALL LE. WinINSTALL needs to see every system change that is made when you install Photoshop 7 on Windows XP so it can do the same for you on Windows 7 64 bit

I don't use Internet Explorer, do I still need to update it
galahs replied to galahs's topic in Windows XP
Internet Explorer is a standalone application since Windows Vista Explorer and Internet Explorer are now 2 applications which are not mixed. And with Windows 7 MS moved the IE into an own Package, where you can configure (enable, disable, remove) IE. So I can remove Internet Explorer from Windows 7 so I will forever be safe from any virus design to attack Microsofts browser? -

you would think Microsoft would have learnt and in Windows 7 made Internet Explorer a stand alone application. -
I didn't realise PAE was part of Win2k

Microsoft have release a patch that adds DEP to Internet Explorer 6 for Win 2000/XP. I wonder if it can be made to work on Win9x http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979352

the main reason i ask is I want to know if I am going to be forced to waste my time constantly updating an internet browser I never use. -
That's alright, if you don't have KernelEx you can't run Firefox 3+ anyway

Hmmm, I wonder what they changed after Java 6 update 7 that removed Win9x support?
-
I definately don't use IE6 as an internet browser anymore, but what else should us Win98 users with IE6 do? I have set IE6's security level to HIGH. Is that enough?
-
I know that using Internet Explorer 6 on the internet is not a smart thing to do. But what I want to know is, if I exclusively use up-to-date versions of Firefox, Chrome or Opera.... should I still update Internet Explorer 6 to the latest version? If I set all its security settings to HIGH and then never touch it again, am I safe from web attacks?
-
So, if I have Internet Explorer 6 instaled, but don't use it to surf the internet. Am I still vunverable from this exploit?
-
So did Java 6 update 18 install without any mods or problems?

Can we convince Trumpet to give us his Win9x stuff?
