  1. that was quick! have you not added anything since your last successful run? try taking those out if you did ... was compression option also changed? how about your source? at this point, i'd suggest that you try to extract from the run the following files in case either TC or TP asks for it: HFSLIP.cmd (from i386/svcpack), DOSNET.inf, DRVINDEX.inf, HFSLIPWU.inf, SVCPACK.inf, SYSOC.in_, HFSLIP.log, TXTSETUP.sif ... do update us too if your prob doesn't really exist in older vers ...
  2. thanks S3pHiroTh! this confused me for KB928470: & i didn't read this thoroughly: ... did what i usually do via Advanced Search
  3. thanks severach! appreciate the clarif
  4. just kindly attach it as a compressed file you may try using the link of the current test rel & just change the ver ... it should be there if TC still has not removed those yet ... i can post an older ver here if permitted ... or if the attachment size would not be allowed (as it would go over the limit)your HFSLIP.log seems alright ... i'm sure you've used TC's dynamic list for supported HFs ... have you tried removing WINNT.sif? what is hosts? would you have the main application for this: StepByStepInteractiveTraining-KB923723-x86-KOR.exe?
  5. thanks for the clarif boooggy! would the slipstreamer offer an option to integrate these HFs (or even newer win media related HFs? it would be a regular work for you to always create newer vers of slipstreamer if the above wouldn't be added as an option ... oh well, it's your call boooggy! i'll be happy to use a newer ver anyways ... thanks!
  6. hi! btw, are these late additions supported already? Update for Windows XP (KB929338) Update for Windows XP (KB928470) Update for Windows XP (KB927891) i see from the stickied topics that TC's lists are no longer present ... well, i guess, we'll just have to use the_guy's list(s) + TC's dynamic list(s) for reference ... thanks!
  7. btw, thanks for the new final! ... i'll create new build now & report back ...
  8. it did ... it even has an entry in Add/Remove Programs
  9. yes it did ... quite sometime actually would this be bad?No; this is normal, and it indicates that HFSLPGUI.CMD is executed at the right time. But .NET 3.0 is not in Add/Remove Programs afterwards?great! dotnet3 is present in Add/Remove Programs ...
  10. hi Sgt_Strider! i'm not certain if you're referring to some HFs installed & have entries in Add/Remove programs ... but those HFs present there are those that were not slipstreamed but were instead moved by HFSLIP at SVCPACK or even at RunOnce for proper installation ... if you're referring to HFSLIP entry, it's there to show that HFSLIP was used ... a very minor appreciation for what HFSLIP has done for us all ... it may be removed though & it wouldn't have any negative effect in your OS ... there was a discussion about it a while back ... was supposed to post it here but it's taking me quite a while to look for it ... i'll post it here when i find it ... EDIT:you may look at these: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=628270 HFSLIP in Add/Remove Programs? ... oh & incidentally, TC has already replied to your inquiry ... it took me some time really to find the links ...
  11. some related discussions: Dell OEM and WPA DELLXP INSTALL DISK - Trying to perform unattended setup- Noob Building a Pre-activated CD from an existing installation and of course, the most extensive: OEMScan - Automated Multi Manufacture Pre-Activation Utility btw, thanks iTwins for the feedback
  12. hi! i use a Dell Inspiron 2200 running Windows XP Pro SP2 ... with it is an OEM XP Pro SP2 cd ... since it's warranty is for Depot only sending it back to the US for repair would disable me a lot & for quite some time ... would it be possible to use the cd for installation in a clone machine (self-assembled desktop) as pre-activated? can OEMScan help me with this? any support you could share would be greatly appreciated ... thanks in advance!
  13. EDIT: DELETED ... apologies for the double post ... connection timed-out
  14. Actually no checking is done during the install. The fist time WPA checks is during the first boot when Windows is fully installed. This is why a Dell CD can be used to install on a non-Dell system.hi Bezalel! would this still push for activation or would there be any legit way to circumvent this already? pretty much a useless OS cd in the box if it couldn't be used in a different machine IMHO ... btw, if i may request, perhaps you could drop by this thread: Trouble with slipstream Dell OEM Win XP ... any comment you (or perhaps even xehqter, severach, FreeStyler, Siginet, or anybody from OEMScan - Automated Multi Manufacture Pre-Activation Utility) could share would be valuable ... thanks!
  15. hi siom! you may want to look at this thread: Silent .NET Maker (latest update: 20070201), Create silent switchless .NET installers for Win2K/XP/2K3 x86 ... this could really help!
  16. btw, in relation to the post above, if i were to use slipstreamer (& i'd assume KBs aforementioned have not been integrated to it yet), do i need to download each hf (including non-public ones? have tried searching for it from xable's site but i couldn't find these or perhaps, i didn't search well enough) ... thanks!
  17. OS install seems ok ... although i have no idea what possible repercussions missing almost all hfslp###.infs in my install now ... what could be its worst effects? ;( i hope we could resolve this ... thanks! yes it did ... quite sometime actually would this be bad?
  18. thanks! a new final! may i request for hiding the clock on the taskbar?
  19. it's vista wmp 11 icon with red background on the white play button boooggy, would the updates you mentioned above be already included when using the slipstreamer? thanks!
  20. No... Are the files physically present on the CD from which you installed your HFSLIPped copy of Windows? Open the CD, go in the I386 folder and see if hfslp101.inf through hfslp103.inf are in it.hi TC! became much worse this time ... still the same prompts for hfslp101.inf until hfslip103.inf ... then it continued on from hfslp200.inf until hfslp365.inf ... presumably all hfslp###.infs ... i've attached some files that might be useful from this run) ... checking i386 folders though in the cd shows all hfslp###.infs present Seems OK. For DNF30.exe, you should've seen the installation dialogs pass by (Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation). If you've seen these, was that at T-13 or at first GUI logon?these all came up after window to register ...
  21. hi! if this is a Dell, changing mobo requires activation ...
  22. yup ... it's just a theme in the background ... i'm simply showing here some details about web client svc that might help clarify some issues
  23. I mean: are HFSLP101~103.INF still present on the CD from which you install?hi TC! if i understood this correctly ... as SOURCESS was technically my ISO, yes this prompt (+ 101.inf & 102.inf) came up during install ... Well... If you have DNF30.EXE in HFGUIRUNONCE, you can easily find out if something went wrong by checking if the WebClient Service is working properly: Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. Based on my testing, the WebClient service will fail to start if .NET 3.0 is installed at T-13.attached are some screenshots ... thanks!
