I moved to CentBrowser, I'm not happy about it.
Dixel replied to D.Draker's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
What do you mean by "first"? There was no any attack from D.Draker's side at all, he merely suggested to listen to the official source (author), instead of someone with no relation to the author's team. I don't use CentBrowser either, it doesn't mean that user can come here with only one purpose - to simply insinuate scandals. By the way. the below text doesn't look like it was written by a "professor", or whomever he always claims to be. Look at the total absence of commas, those long pauses he desperately tried to express with the questionable help of ".........". I'd never, not for once, used any kind of advice from a person like that.- 76 replies

There couldn't be a "constructive debate" with you because you again simply attacked D.Draker and went very personal on him, again. Telling to wait for the author to answer is NOT something out of the ordinary! Telling don't trust third parties (strangers, esp. the obscure ones), also not. Get real. Edit. Your screenshot doesn't work! There's no CentBrowser developer here. You both are very welcome to write to him on github or wherever he (she?) is.- 76 replies

Update: trying to run with the flag --disable-usb-keyboard-detect. No issues, so far. The browser has been opened for two hours. In all, I suggest to apply this flag anyways.

Thank you! Very good. Yes, I do have them enabled. Windows made a MEMORY.DMP about 400mb, also it was able to create Report.wer, from this report I found out that Thorium has a conflict with Vista's generic KB driver! For some reason Thorium uninstalls it! Then Windows reinstall sit with the error code 24, resulting in BSOD. AppCrashView.exe by nirSoft was useless, it couldn't even open my Report.wer. I was shocked to discover an app from 2015 doesn't support drag-n-drop. Ridiculous since it's basically a txt file! With the good ol' WinHex, suggested by @D.Draker, I got the job done. AppName=Standard PS//2 Keyboard AppPath=C:\Windows\System32\drvinst.exe ReportDescription=Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. The problem code is 24.

The wretched Chrome Client Hints, another Doomsday of privacy: ways out of it.
Dixel replied to Dixel's topic in Web Browsers
Thanks, I will maybe consider your suggestion later on, now I bit pre-occupied with real life, I'm looking for a simple solution like modifying headers on the fly and make them switchable from presets.- 105 replies

Can I request @Dave-Hto move the posts regarding CH spoofing, starting from this one: EDIT, and make all of the below to appear at the beginning, members already started to reply to the new topic. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270289 And then, move these posts, in this order. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270224 https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270235 https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270228 https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270230 https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270235 https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270236 https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1270238 To the new, dedicated topic. As we all know, starting with Chrome 122 (Final release), they can't be forced off via the known cmd flag. Members are welcome to post their ways of dealing with 'em. Probably, someone already knows a crx extension? I tend to edit each Chrome browser manually, but it's not convenient for most of the users. Also, it has some disadvantages, sometimes leading to a unique fingerprint, In all, we need a working fake CH switcher.

Posting test: string boot .ini causes HTTP 403 forbidden error
Dixel replied to jaclaz's topic in Site & Forum Issues
Xper, thank you for taking the time, it's not always with us, it's on and off. As of lately, it again went to normal with the last wave of spammers, I'm not joking. Or maybe it has something to do with links adding issues people reported earlier. Or PMs. https://msfn.org/board/topic/185994-cant-edit-my-first-post-in-thread-error-when-posting-links/ https://msfn.org/board/topic/186314-issues-with-the-board-personal-messages/ P.S. Probably the title needs to also include the inability to post cmd. exe (without the space), as I discovered recently. -
When quote me, please at least quote the main subject in full. I wrote [GitHub] may allow Russians to steal members' intellectual property because Russians have a law allowing their citizens and businesses to do so. Where does Github write they only act accordingly to the US laws, I just saw "any" laws, it's a bad game of guessing, assuming, etc, It needs to be written in plain text.

NVIDIA Optimus and AMD Switchable Graphic with XP
Dixel replied to genieautravail's topic in Windows XP
Dietmar, Haswell era laptops use Intel GPU for the signal bypass, it can't be disabled since Nvidia doesn't have its own output. I think it's the case for all newer ones, too. Some unique and expensive models still exist, but old. -
Oh, actually they are right. WoW64 is a subsystem on a 64 bit OS, so my true 64bit is properly detected. I just confused with Dave's screenshot. So, they now don't see which OS exactly, only that it's a 64 bit OS.

The wretched Chrome Client Hints, another Doomsday of privacy: ways out of it.
Dixel replied to Dixel's topic in Web Browsers
Privacy issue, yes, but the most annoyance is when modern sites detect Vista and ask you to upgrade the browser, when the browser is not needed to be upgraded. Probably, you don't use those sites, I'd give some links, but you won't use them anyway, one good example is Nvidia site, it was already discussed at github.- 105 replies

The wretched Chrome Client Hints, another Doomsday of privacy: ways out of it.
Dixel replied to Dixel's topic in Web Browsers
No problem, as may already know, ClientHints are invoked by javascript, so search for the area around the browser navigator. There are also many other useless entries like navigator.userAgentData Navigator.usb.get Navigator.bluetooth.get navigator.userAgentData is the one responsible.- 105 replies

First and foremost, it's not off-topic, github declares it. Read their terms of service. https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/github-terms/github-terms-of-service What is it exactly you don't understand? They can't use "any" laws. Evidence is they they took down the Kernel project and their open statement in the terms. "2. We have the right to refuse or remove any User-Generated Content that, in our sole discretion, violates any laws or GitHub terms or policies. User-Generated Content displayed on GitHub Mobile may be subject to mobile app stores' additional terms."

Which one do you prefer more, mine, or Dave's: NT 5.1 x86 + Chrome 124. And what exactly do you think makes it unique? The space between the brackets is empty in mine. Thanks, https://msfn.org/board/topic/185045-supermium/?do=findComment&comment=1268273- 105 replies

360 Extreme Explorer Modified Version
Dixel replied to Humming Owl's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Agree. In Holland, most online shops demand Chrome 110-115, at the very least. Not that surprising since Chrome 110 is 1 year and 8 months old.- 2,340 replies

for @66cats. In other, very simple words, the alleged American company Github declares it can prosecute members using any laws, For example, prosecute a member from Canada using Russian laws. EDIT. I'd never join such website.
-
Self-evident is another very important matter, and I quote. "2. We have the right to refuse or remove any User-Generated Content that, in our sole discretion, violates any laws or GitHub terms or policies. User-Generated Content displayed on GitHub Mobile may be subject to mobile app stores' additional terms." In light of the fact I posted yesterday, about the Russian government that has officially legalised intellectual property theft and made it a law. In the quote above, Github declares it may act on any laws, not only US laws, so it may allow Russians to steal members' intellectual property, and those members can't do anything about it, they had been warned, and accepted github terms. For example, Russians write to github and demand them to open up someone's work, or take it down. But if a Russian member hosts stolen property on github, it's all according to their "law", so all is "fine". Sources: https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/github-terms/github-terms-of-service https://ipwatchdog.com/2022/03/16/russian-businesses-can-now-legally-steal-intellectual-property-unfriendly-countries/id=147528/

So, after fiddling with chrome.dll, I was able to edit out most of the values ClientHints API sends to servers. But the API shows as working, I think it's a good result.
