  1. 142 is actually good for chrome in the range of 99 - 106, something like that.
  2. Do you know who develops adGuard?
  3. From my humble 30 years experience with browsers, one's gotta try several versions released in the timeframe of about 3 months back and forth of the given browser version release.
  4. But Vista has known troubles with Haswell CPU family. Do you have delays upon boot?
  5. I find it strange, I think D.Draker already posted an ungoogled patch somewhere. What if you simply try to edit out the navigator property navigator.userAgentData? It's the one responsible. Look for it in chrome.dll.
  6. It seems to be a pattern. Looks like AI bot reposter simply takes random pics from the old era dating websites. Look at the pic, no woman would use that severely outdated makeup and style. The photo is at least over 15 years old (quality, size, style), and that poor soul is pushing 60s now, someone's granny, or maybe even dead (hope not). Spam in about me section, as usual. https://msfn.org/board/profile/441359-ross-perry/
  7. I still have Comodo Firewall without Geek Buddy, without Antivirus, it's on my old Siemens laptop with Geforce 6600 mobile and Core Duo T7200. Sadly, I can't attest to any of these precise versions, the reason - they are too new to my taste. Overall , Comodo 5.xxxx and 6xxxx. has a glitch, when too many IPs are added, it may say "oops, we've encountered a bug", and it quits, all until you reboot. Hope this helps.
  8. You accused me of being "wrong" without proof, without providing any insight on why it works on Windows 10 with an old UA, or even the original one, like in the case with the member @66cats. https://msfn.org/board/topic/182304-extreme-explorer-360-chromium-78-86-general-discussion/?do=findComment&comment=1268986 And now you write "it seems you are seeking strife where none exists." Are you sure you didn't confuse me someone else? I'd like to get to the bottom of why it works on 10, but not XP, which is the topic. Got any problem with that? Ignore, then. My theory is the fingerprint the browser makes. Client Hints is one of the most possible culprits.
  9. My thoughts exactly, therefore, I edited the post to remove the fishing attempt by that spammer. Edit: probably need to edit the original post, too.
  10. That's not what I meant, and you perfectly know it. I meant you spoofed to v.77 from a Windows 10 machine.
  11. That one I don't like due to the childish looking UI with those big, bright buttons, by any chance, dear @AstroSkipper, do you know what was the last version without it? Thank you.
  12. Who's "WE"? Does @Dave-Hknow we have a new administrator?
  13. I wouldn't rely only on one site to test that "feature". Client Hints have been main stream since as early as January 2020. Before saying I'm "wrong", how then you'd explain the site works perfectly fine on Windows 10 and old UA?
  14. Of course it would load on v.77 under Windows 10, the OS you've been running for a couple of years instead of XP.
  15. I've encountered many modern sites do let you in with old browsers, but only if you live in a first world country with a clean IP. Twitter had been a good example, members had troubles with Twitter's feed on Chrome 86, while Dave_H and I - hadn't.
  16. Wrong again, Moneypenny. (from Bond with T. Dalton) I've only assumed the site probably didn't know whether it should block that unknown version and let you in. I never wrote I had doubts it let you in, your "distinct impression" is better be called distinct overimagination. And be careful with your thoughts/wishes, some day may come true. The fact Chrome 86 works for points out to Client Hints engaging on Windows 10.
  17. No wonder, Supermium has a newer engine, the fact Firefox works with just spoofing could point to its inability to transmit Client Hints sneaky "feature" info. Check here. https://browserleaks.com/client-hints
  18. I just found this one, South Korean, someone already tried? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naver_Whale
  19. Could be more specific about the bugs? Thank you.
  20. Exactly! For me, looks like they simply want to make noise in a desperate attempt to draw a couple of more users.
  21. No chance in Hell. It doesn't even work with Chrome 121. The wheel is constantly spinning, that's it. I didn't look into the error console, sorry.
  22. Hello, it's actually Metaverse Society For Nurds.
  23. Could be the same reason, as posted above, with the IP.
  24. Hi and welcome! The link by @NojusK works absolutely fine for me. I'm quite sure he visited it himself before posting. Looks like they simply blocked your IP or you try to visit from a very old browser.
