  1. The other link doesn't seem to work for me, either. I just recently reinstalled XP on a different computer, so on that one I will try since it is a relatively "clean" slate.
  2. Seemingly, I can confirm the issues using the java 8u251... approximately the same thing in FF browsers. It's working locally, though, I was running NOAA WCT which uses java and it is operating properly.
  3. The efforts so far have proven that it is not easy. I'm not knowledgeable about chromium's code, so I cant exactly tell you everything, but there has been bits mentioned on their efforts in the linked thread, with a detailed write-up being the exact post linked.
  4. The Windows Update site that 9x uses has been shut down since 2011 or so, IIRC.
  5. yeah... few mins ago i was thinking first i should document the code more clearly...
  6. yes. known bug, I will work on that. basically another part of that same bug. that is basically what the end goal is, I think. What you say seems to be about what I have, sans mentioned bug. I could easily add a "dont make shortcuts" or a "put shortcut in public/private folder only" option. I used winrar to """compile""" (not really, just packing).
  7. Hello all: My web site is back up, so you can now download my unofficial Roytam1 browser installer again. As always, get it here: http://i430vx.net/files/XP/RoyTam Browser Installer.exe
  8. Yes. It's just a Gmail. I suppose for some, Google is technically is an ISP, though. But hopefully adding the MSFN email address to the address book will stop it from going to spam folder.
  9. Just to make people aware— my site has been down for a couple days and will continue to be for a few more. Gone are the “dark ages” of my unofficial browser installer needing my server to work, but if you try to download my installer and discover the link is broken, that is why. I will post another update when it is back online.
  10. I noticed today that for the past ~2 days my emails have went to the spam folder. but they are still and have been mostly arriving for me.
  11. Also living near the Canadian border, (until my antenna blew away in a windstorm last month), I also got some Canadian stations. Ironically, due to my geography, I don't get any US stations, despite living in the US. But I'm only receiving digital stations, so i'd presume the analog stuff is more of a Rural Canada thing.
  12. I can certainly add this to the list. But, currently my installer is in maintinence-mode (only fixing serious bugs and not many new stuff) due to not having much free time. I have things for the installer of a higher priority when the free time arises, but I am commited to adding an "install as portable" option eventually. But, yeah. As a reminder, @roytam1 is not affiliated with the house of cards known as my browser installer. He ports changes and compiles binaries, I just make an (Unofficial!) installer that eases the retreival and unpacking of said binary archives.
  13. That's bizarre. You'd think it would be all or nothing....
  14. Interesting. As of approximately 2 days ago (your time of writing) I was receiving them. I haven't gotten a message on here since so I am unsure if i STILL would be getting emails, or not.
  15. I've added the latest working installer (1.8.15) to my EOL repository on my web-site: http://i430vx.net/files/XP/EOL/tsetup.1.8.15.exe
  16. If you mean that you activated it over the phone, that still counts as one of your "activations"
  17. Wow! It's a bit early to be deciding that sorta thing. But im sure other AVs will continue to service 7/8 for years after avira.
  18. I cannot say I've ever run into this problem you speak of. I've even installed XomPie on server 03, didnt happen there.
  19. Might I add, though, I don't expect that to be an issue, as of a few months ago (and probably still today), the earliest of windows builds of telegram still logged in and worked. Talk about backwards compatibility.
  20. It may be a limitation of your chipset. My ThinkPad T60 has a Chipset limitation of 3GB. I will never be able to use more.
  21. I'm also seeing the nag, today is the first day I notice it but i haven't been very active recently.
  22. The download server seems to be not working, I keep getting bad gateway errors. EDIT: Never mind, it was my browser. Wouldn't download in FF45 SSE but DOES download in KM-Goanna
  23. was browsing reddit, aaaaaaand... QuickTime updater on Windows XP.
  24. As long as you have plenty of RAM (at least 512MB IMO), Serpent IA32 works fine. Maybe there is issues, maybe not, but I certainly haven't seen any.
