Another goal of mine is to fork Arctic-Fox, and make it Visual C++ 2005/2008, and Windows 2000 compatible. Presently, Arctic-Fox requires Visual C++ 2013, and Windows XP SP2. There exists a Pale Moon 27.x fork by @roytam1 that includes Arctic-Fox commits, that is in the process of becoming Visual C++ 2010/2012 compatible by roytam1 and I.

Hello, Windows 2000 adepts! I'm desperately need your suggestions and advices. I decided to build a Windows 2000 Datacenter machine. Especially after discovering the news about porting of modern fully-fledged Supermium browser into W2K environment. Here are the results of my investigations. Correct me and add additional preciseness to details. Important statements [please correct me if i'm wrong]: 1] Maximum number of CPU threads including hyper-threaded ones can be 32 [so 16 cores + 16 HT threads is an absolute maximum] 2] Maximum amount of RAM is 32Gb [accessible via PAE technology, which introduces some latency and affects performance a bit] Browsing the web i've seen some non-clear evidence of 64gb RAM configurations. 3] Best video card is GeForce 980Ti 6Gb Vram 4] As i understand NVME storage is out of the question, only sata SSD can be configured 5] USB3.0 support is not possible? [or i just need to purchase correct discrete controller with appropriate drivers?] 6] There is no PCIE Audio card with Windows 2000 drivers Here is a configuration which i decided to try out in Windows 2000 field: cpu: Xeon E5-2696 [i already own 44 thread beast, planning to disable HT tech to make things work] mobo: Asrock X99 Extreme 4 [not certain about drivers though] ram: 32Gb DDR4 (8Gb x 4) Video: 6Gb GeForce 980 Ti / 12Gb Titan X [i've heard that 980Ti is faster than TitanX by a small margin] SSD: Plain SATAIII SSD < 120Gb Audio: ESI Juli@ PCI [If you'll not find PCI-E solution] Hopefully that i didn't forget anything crucial to make build happen. Waiting for your expertise, you teckno-dinosaurs!:)

Hi, Is it possible to boot Windows 2000 on UEFI? I know it is possible to boot Windows XP and Whistler Beta 1 on UEFI, but wanted to know if it was possible to boot 2000 on UEFI. One person was able to boot Whistler Beta 1 on UEFI, but struggled with 2296. I tried this on Windows 2000, and followed the same steps shown in NTDEV'S XP UEFI video. When I try to boot it with the Vista 5219 files, I get the 0xc000000f error. What would need to be done to get 2000 running on UEFI? If it isn’t possible, why?

I am asking here, as there is not an specific forum fro ReactOS and it is claims compatibility with windows2000. Currently I have a palemoon fork Mypal 27.9.4 and a Kmeleon working fine. Seeing the mount of versions of forks of FF, Palemoon and Basilisk depending compiled/configured for different technologies, such as processor instructions..., I would like to have some guidance before to start trying blindly all of the versions delivered in next thread.

I'm trying to activate Microsoft Office 2003 on my Windows 2000 VM, however, I disconnected it from the internet before activating. I'm nervous that when I reconnect it, it will send the info to the activation servers and use up one of my "activations." How can I use Microsoft Office without having to disconnect the VM from the Internet every time?

Hello everyone! in this topic: https://msfn.org/board/topic/178700-visual-studio-2010-on-windows-2000-kernelex/ I talked about my problem with installing visual studio 2010 express on windows 2000. The only problem now is that I can't open it... In fact when I open it says: "Invalid License data. Reinstall is Required." So anyone knows why this happen? I also tried from those sites: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2673275/how-do-i-fix-an-invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required-error-in-visual-c https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9ff4bb25-eb12-4554-bea1-d67683ab535d/message-quotvisual-studio-2010-shell-invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-requiredquot-when?forum=vssetup https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/blogs/invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required-visual-studio-2010 https://forum.unity.com/threads/if-anyone-is-having-visual-studio-shell-2010-invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required.298824/ https://superuser.com/q/651261 https://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/80293/invalid-license-data-reinstall-is-required-error-when-installing-sharepoint-2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdlZ4R22JwE https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-visual-fortran-compiler-for-windows/topic/537871 http://gerryhampsoncm.blogspot.com/2016/01/installing-configuration-manager-visual.html https://www.advancedinstaller.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27839 So, I tried to modify the registry as the seventh link says but it didn't work.... I tried also to install subinacl and modify registry keys Other links says about *.sln files... But I opened only the executable file... So... Anyone knows why and how to resolve this? Thanks

ATI Drivers for iMac (Mobility Radeon HD 2400xt) on W2K
eksu posted a topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
I'm working on a 2007 20" iMac trying to get Windows 2000 running well. I believe it has a Mobility Radeon HD 2400xt. I was unable to install the drivers provided from apple for windows XP through device manager, even though the right hardware id was present. "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 XT" = ati2mtag_M72, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_94C8&SUBSYS_0084106B The installer also didn't work, when I tried it with SP4 + UR1. I would try BWC's drivers, but they also don't appear to support this device. Does anyone have any idea on what the right direction to go from here is? Thanks. edit: turns out there are drivers for me! BWC's 2011/5/13 Version 11.5c(AGP+HDMI+Mobility) is the last one that has it.- 1 reply

Windows 2000, XP and 2003 have the following issue in Sound recorder. You receive a "Not enough memory available to complete this operation" error message when you try to record a .wav file by using Sound Recorder But microsoft did not fix it and left it over 10 years !! I fixed it and you can download here. http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/1910546.html You can install the English version in whatever language Windows 2000 and XP. * note I did not check it on vanilla version Windows 2000 (Extended Kernel is okay).
