  1. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/171363-possible-hope-for-old-browsers/ EDIT:
  2. Windows Me has amazing sounds, but I like vista's design. The eye candy possesses me
  3. POSReady 2009 a variant of xp has support till 2019. It doesn't need to be activated and is smaller in size than normal XP. Though programs will be an issue when they stop support for XP.
  4. Doesn't help that flash is integrated into it too . +1
  5. Didn't say it didn't work. Said it "hung" on the "Windows" progress bar. I'm not on XP ATM, but a "variation" (nunya biz ) "unpatched/updated" (latest SP), so that may be why it just kept being "progressive". FF12 and (whatever version of) Seamonkey is not the same, even though (AFAIK) the "root" code is the same. JS... Well since the xp variation is nunmy biz then may I ask why firefox 12.
  6. The same people who used Microsoft Bob.
  7. No that will be to much money to paint .
  8. I grew up on it. I like it. Still works. No hidden spyware. Greater control thanks to DOS. Me is similar to XP. Faster than nt. Less dependence on M$. Less vulnerabilities. Light on resources. Me is my primary along Vista Dual-booting ME with Vista, lol. What many people conisider the two worst Windows versions, on the same computer. No offense, though. It's good if it works fine for you.By the way, on the topic of Flash, does Opera 10.10 or Firefox 3.0 support it? That would be insane, watching YouTube videos on Windows 9x. But then again, there's probably some YouTube downloader program which can stream the vids to a media player or just download them. Last vanilla support for opera is 10.63, while Firefox 2.0.0.20 . I have watched YouTube videos on windows 9x before. I dont dual boot ME and Vista though (I dual boot me and POSReady 2009 as of yesterday) but you just gave me a very good idea . I normally surf the web with ME and vista at the same time!!! Heavy web searcher am I so I must have kernelEx to get best browsing results on ME. (opera 12.02)
  9. Worked fine on SeaMonkey so I dont know why it wont work on Firefox.
  10. NOT measurable, still entirely to be proved/tested. jaclaz For me I found it very unstable when trying to put a dvd in. Now I know that could be a driver issue, but A.) I trust my dad with having proper and up to date drivers for he is very tech shabby . B.) Never had the issue with windows 7 or vista when 7/vista was on that pc. C.) I'm not messing with my dads work computer's setup.
  11. I wounder if Windows 8 is in the copter.
  12. Im not sure if you not understanding what I said or If Im not getting what your saying, but all I was saying that there so called "democracy" is not a democracy, but a Meritocracy for it is based off of merits, (this case money) and the greater the contribution the greater that vote becomes. BUT the part that I understood was your open source statement to which I agree 110% with. "Open source" seems to be the new business tactic. It is more semi open-source, if it can even be called that.
  13. Security has its own section. Browser scopes test all sections of a browser then gives it a score out off 100 so you can compare. Security included. If you want to see what the security test are here is a pic. (I clicked the security tab to show the security tests the site does)
  14. Important Notice. The good fools at M$ did not properly remove a virus in the POSReady 2009 download. Go into your Registry or get Malwarebytes or something to remove these registries
  15. That is a good start in the right direction . If this works out for the normal XP user than they'd just barely end before NT 6.0
  16. Why would you need to. It already is very minimalist. I have already found an OEM product key for POSReady 2009. I have been trying to find a way to convert a normal XP Pro installation to Embedded so that the Windows Update of a normal XP Pro machine would show POSReady updates without having to install Windows POSReady from scratch. It seems that Embedded versions contain some extra files required to boot Windows properly. I have no idea which those files are. After all, it seems much easier to port any future updates manually from POSReady 2009 to normal Windows XP editions. Does it have a timer of death.
  17. I'm waiting for the next patch Tuesday. From there I will download them and put them on a new thread, and on a new page for my site. Now its a waiting game. (I'm willing to help in other words)
  18. Not if I can find some addons to level the field . In all seriousness though Chrome is a very good browser that I like a lot. I personally use Chromium over chrome for open source reasons. (doesn't change the fact that I still, prefer seamonkey for its stability though)
  19. If you can get your hands on a evaluation key. (Not product key) you can use POSReady 2009 for a full year before shutdown. Also Keys dont expire after use. Why would you need to. It already is very minimalist.
  20. Yes I do use POSReady 2009. POS gets Windows xp updates. All it really is a modified version of windows XP sp3. The only software that will have issue downloading on it is M$ Word, copyright issues (though it doesn't seem to actually block it since someone did it with the portable version) . It just like normal Xp but better since it uses less resources/requirements. Here's a chart that lists differences http://msembedded.biz/en/windows-embedded-posready-2009/posready-2009-difference-to-xpe-pro.html .
  21. It has to do with the invisible spaces below the quotes. If you double space before making the quote you wont have the issue. Same thing happened to me till I realized the spaces were somehow being Deleted.
  22. It might be the "king", but I'm quite happy using Chrome and it's variants and miss one point in the security area, and gain in overall to 87 vs 15 for Seamonkey. Cheers and Regards That was because I did the security test only. I ran all the tests and got an 86. SeaMonkey2.bmp
  23. I knew what you said, but not what the good people at React OS said. I based my assumption off of what you said for number 1.
  24. Fanboy's main filters are now adblocks easy list. So sad. It might be because Seamonkey is the king. Seamonkey 2.25 with Noscript turned off. SeaMonkey.bmp
  25. Good bye XP you will not be forgotten
