  1. I dont know if a dutch version was made, but you should look though here http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/61407-service-pack-for-windows-me/ . Also you should look at this post, which addresses an important issue with the Me service pack http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/61407-service-pack-for-windows-me/?p=840541 (not a bad issue, but 3 files are misplaced). Welcome to the club
  2. Seems to be an issue with Lostinspace's account for the same thing happened to me as you described. Expect the fact I dont show up in his friends list.
  3. Hmm seem to be stuck. I have instructions on how to convert a VM to a PhysMachine http://www.howtoforge.com/converting-a-vmware-image-to-a-physical-machine-p2 , and I also have instructions to disassemble my net-book to access the hard-drive http://www.dalekeller.net/Other/Computers/AspireOne/Disassembly.pdf . I can remove the hard-drive from my net-book with a little time, but there must be an easier way to do it then what I plan. Any other way to access the harddrive, rather usb, or usb (flashdrive).
  4. If your still looking for "a" usb driver then here's your bet. http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php .

  6. Odd indeed. I installed VMplayer with no issues (latest one too 6.02).
  7. Forgot to say. If security is your worry you might like M$ EMET. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2458544 .
  8. Here http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-firewall-protection.htm . This is a nice intro to firewalls. Here's a quote.
  9. I thought windows 8.1 was a service pack originally. I thought really wrong. No its not just you. Every M$ thing latey is just a pig pile of... well you know.
  10. Dont forget to put an umbrella on your house. What are talking about he is perfectly safe. (still needs that umbrella though) Thanks.
  11. Thanks again Lostinspace. I knew that there were many objects in danger proximity of earth (pha), but I did not know that there were nearly 1500 close to us. I find this section really interesting http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/ca
  12. Thank you for the clarification. I'm no expert on solar bodies/objects. I do know however that jupiter is a huge savior for us since its intense gravity (besides warming up the moon europea giving chace for live with its gravity tug of war) that sucks up alot of asteroids. Curious though would you happen to know Lostinspace the current "threats" of earth near objects. *typos*
  13. Which asteroid belt are we talking about. The Main belt or the near-earth belt. Both are threating.
  14. It's not that its M$ misleading people, but companies in general. People will do anything to get an extra couple bucks.
  15. Latest official LavFilters 0.61.2 build running fine. Had erroneously stated no functional build above the quoted one because of a now resolved crash in kexbases.dll that was due to a bad entry I had in my Kxstub822.ini. Thanks for clarifying. Also sorry for late reply. Changing now.
  16. The hacker thing has been talked about already, there is really no reason for a hacker to attack you. If you want firewall recommendation this might help http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/171591-looking-to-upgrade-my-software-firewall-recommendations/#entry1075333 . http://malwaretips.com/threads/question-do-i-need-a-third-party-firewall.15882/ . Personally I think 3rd party is better than what M$ offers.
  17. It not youtube, but this might help. In this video someone plays a movie on the very laptop you have. Welcome to MSFN
  18. I wouldn't expect much, but the only way to know is to test it so give it a shot tell us how it works.
  19. Here is a nice video of nt 3.51 on youtube with seamonkey 95 and youtube spoofer. EDIT: opps here's the video

  21. Its not winning the war that matters, but the battles that do. quote me.
  22. I boot tails on one of my usb sticks. It's a nice littler bugger.
  23. Its getting to the point where I feels like just wiping every things off my drive (vista not Me), and starting new with NT 4 or 2000. (not xp for it has activation) Then forever search the web anonymously with a proxy under the name of what ever the random name generator gives me http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ , then use a disposable email from a site like this http://www.fakemailgenerator.com/ .
  24. Again as I said for the third time its like beating a dead horse. What possible can they do to xp now. Its been around for such a long time, which accounts for many years of patches for vulnerabilities. It would be hard to find one now. In fact this topic is beating a dead horse. Self evident
