This may seem silly -What is major differences between your full and lite packages for 98fe-sp2?*As i'm planning on using 98Upgrade Cdrom to install on older system as 98SE takes up too much room and Ram is between 32 and maybe 64 mb's.Hdd is4.3gb with ethernet, no usb, yet.An old Creative cd-cdrom and floppy Either ViaApollo233mmx with PII233mhz/cpu or Intel Desktop810 with celeron467mhz/cpu...***This system will be for using me older appl's like win3.1-98SE not compatible with newer systems....oh yeah Dos 5.0-6.2 was upgraded.Like MSDos 5.0 but 'tis slow.Will add USB When find card as none available at this time....thx,thydreamwalker

I want to use 98 Upgrade CDROM found in archive store,but ViaApollo233MMX-system will not allow me to open the 98 Upgrade as easily,as the 98SE cdrom does; any suggestions???Tried with No O.S.-no go,Win95 will not and havenot tried my Old Win3.1or 3.11 files as of yet,but soon will of course!

Go to http://www.mdgx.com and try to find an uninstaller for AVG;or thier website,as it's a "Bxxxh!" to get off your system even reformat will not completely clean Harddrive..i usually use Active "kill disk" either Dos or Linux version to take Hdd to all 000000's and Clean-Wipes Avg or bad installs from my computer...*Yet i found an uninstaller at mdgx's site (just can't remember what it was? -long time =1year when i grew away from Resource User Appl's like AVG-which were hard on Memory especially!!!)AVG 7.5 can be of true benefit when "kids" use computer alot not necessarily older generations.....as we keep files cleaner and notice changes in system etc.

New Opera9.5(latest build) works from USB Cruzer but no go from hdd so use from it as it accomplishes same as a system program and Internet Access is O.K.,too!

Look in "min98" all it contains is inf files and i think it fits on a floppy disk?i haven't accessed this for awhile but should be easy to find as it's same as a 98SE CD only miniture in size too! or just put win98 file from 98SE/CD-ROM in a zip file usually will install necessary files to start 98SE install with Network access!

Sandisk is 98SE compatible....yet proper set-up helps....My "Cruzer's 1gb,2gb" go on auto-matically Now;..after adding a W2K file which allows for compatibility with 98SE and W2K media drivers in USB Products<<2Kmo <VSD2K.EXE> >>...just run the VSD2K.EXE from within Windows98 or 98SE and USB Storage Drivers will add through the Add New Hardware Control Panel setup from your Win98SE CD-ROM.***I opened my Very First"Cruzer"in W2K Adv Srv... to use all files like McAfee and Skype later on...Yet,then i formated with Fat16 so its compatible with older and newer systems!!! Since opened "Cruzer "adds itself as long as proper setup is installed on O.S.of my choice from Win3.1(*USB-woulda looked nice as a help system years ago as it works now with it beautifully),w95,w98,w98SE.W2K.XP....even Vista......even ,Linux too...yet don't use too much

Try checking Format of floppy and system as they must match ....or try Safe mode and/or Dos mode if all fails

Look into tryin' 98SE2ME and Kex0.3.4 as it adds more WinME and 2000 files to 98SE;and it works better for simplest solution rather than RP7 issues with Kex0.3.4

Maybe,this is root of problems with using Kex0.3.3a and above for my older 2 systems 64mb/128mb Ram-when I installed newer Sesp3.xxx series.....Update's <Always Sesp2.1a is Stable even with Kex0.3.4..newest version....!!!> Noticed something "WIERD"to do with opening programs after a couple of days running *Ram Usage Size and Progam use with the Sesp3.xxx and above with Kex0.3.3a -0.3.4.*Some update either backdates or changes some value in AutoPatcher too!Stated these same "98SE Crash Performance Reactions" when using MDCU2.5 a few months prior.and was tring new Sesp3.xxx and above ..So,maybe it was not MDCU2.5 and RP7 colliding updates and functions therein ,but Sesp3.xxx....could be the culprit ????? *Now using Kex0.3.4 ,Uberkin ,RP8 ,update filesfor 98SE, 98SEregedit<New!>,Sesp2.1a and all other recent updaters up to today on all my 98SE systems-NO CRASHES!!!!!{*also Shockwave11 and Flash10 }Trying to use Nero7,just bad cdrom as it fights install on 98SE.All other xp/2k programs work though....even installed some Win2000/AdvSvr programs as have on another system and tried for fun of it they ran fully functional "Surprisingly Enough!!!"Sesp3 is in BetaStage , yet still needs work before becoming a RC release as too many problems with older systems using 98SE.

check out Windows Vista as it has DVR applications in its system files

look in Auto-Patcher=Manual Installs=WU_FIX,depending on system you are using(Win98SE?).There is a Microsoft updater file in side,as this, ususally works on older machines,too!

Should this dual boot be two partitions or 2 different harddrives as Vista is WAY Different than other O.S.'s??? thydreamwalker

Why not use Shockwave 10.2.0.23,it works lite and more stable? If you run across an IOMEGA Site ...they have downloads for flashdrives which can be used on "Lite Systems",especially Win98SE...too!

linux ubcd/pendrive/usb(Used with Win98SE) for sandisk flashdrives is great!!!Best boot ever,system recovery cd works...thee rest of linux ,anything (slax,debian,redhat,ubuntu..etc.)that is; will not run on 1998-2001 hdd's or mobo's as it burns up actual hdd(i have 3 hdddrives seagate,maxtor,quantum all great until used linux in any use...Seriosly a lot of "B"=bad sectors recorded in all ;then used scandisk for hdd checks after relent-less time-consuming -irritating repairs from using linux systems on them...1year later a couple 0f thee hdd's are re-couping to Win98SE.......yet there is still a lot of damage still beyond repair thydreamwalker

GREAT IDEA's-just think of an outline of how to set up Web-Site Server(simular to msfn structure)...yet make it simple to find current information for any new testers or users.*As msfn-forums is still too spread out and difficult even for experienced visitors.A great outline=a great book.Check into some thing like what *Soporific did with Auto-Patcher Download Site it's simple yet concise .....and easily gets to the point;also *Ryan's site used for XP program/updates "rocks" as it is uniquely organized...(even though don't use XP, some do work in 98SE)these could be used as examples for outlining thee sites structure and foundation to build on.***Even use msfn-forums/9X/win98se areas to refer to new site using http-addresses to help as a middle-man,like a kick start or jump point to get to areas at new domain to allow users testers access to information there...... *"IF YOU'S BUILD IT ......THEY WILL COME!" ....thydreamwalker

A bootable 98SE floppy/and ;or usb flash ,or zip disk with drivers in question always is bios-ly correct<if installed.*Or create small safety net on another hdd with drivers necessary for Cd-rom to access when installing 98SE.....thydreamwalker B)
