Try DDK from Microsoft.com,as i have older pc and drivers were all outdated-at least this would set yous on right track;Microsoft Update would help if it has driver on site.....thydreamwalker

Adobe should be petitioned ("asked specifically/politely-as they don't accept honest cricism"*as tried before when Reader messed up a load of files i was preparin' for work related issues!!!) to try and fix Shockwave 10.0.3.24,and11;and possibly let them consider 98SE users still available using their products as we do.I use adobe 5.0 cause issues of Kex0.3.3-0.3.3e do not mix well with adobe 6.0.6 and others.....Never tried Foxit ,yet maybe......???

It could be "intel driver's?"as i have older Chempc{acts and weighs like a 16#LaptopPC} w/450-500mhz -pentiumIII;but intel cannot correctly match any of my drivers ...so i try to mix and match from other systems and manufacturers!Win98se and MSFN are me only helpers in these areas so far. good luck-thydreamwalker

I HAVE HAD SAME PROBLEM:WITH-Sandisk USB Flashdrives Cruzer 1gb and up ;best way is to open on XP/98se dual booting machine -and open drive (*do not remove tools or warranty is null) ,usb flashdrive will be opened with tools to reformat*use your own sys c:-if possible ;reformat new expanded/new created drive as fat16 to be useable with 98se...You will have two drives;One with original flash system tools saved and a new rebootable drive to use as as you would a harddrive (only portable! )These are great for jump starts to win98se instead of re-installing whole system :as pcrestor,sysrec recovery<linux-ubcd+batch98se/or pendrive system works good on rebootin' any usb-based windows system > and other dianostic programs can repair the system immediately w/o full re-install time wasted!MP3/MP4 have same properties as a flashdrive only more gb/mb space.*These usb drives can be exhaustin' to first time users with no prior experience as directions do not work as printed on paper. hope this helps,,,thydreamwalker

Another "GOOD"defrag/scandisk is Diskminder or bhdd30e.exe ;some say its same as ME versisions :yet,i thinks it's faster and more reliable!!! thydreamwalker:)

ALOHA:*XSTYLE'S CLOSER TO KNOW as the "RENOVATIO "-Explorer.exe version prevails over RP7 as it melts into previous explorer .exe's,just keep 1-version as i learned the hard way as we forget to check our installs sometimes(* SORRY..about the confusion.....OOPS! ) XSTYLE:Why is explorer.exe larger or why wouldn't it be same size as RP7?;as i noticed Renovatio runs smoother than RP7'sversion...too? thx.......thydreamwalker

MAIN DRIVE=C:\,or Windows 98SE Drive;;;;;;;;;;;In older systems......A:\,B ;\=floppy drives..C:,D:,E:+usually=harddrives or C: was main drive area.......< i guess newer systems too complex for c:\ anymores?>What i meant is that make sure the only version available on your 98SE-formatted drive is Windows Explorer.Exe from RP7 -or which ever Windows Explorer version YOU prefer -ONLY!!! :As ,TWO different versions cause RUNDLL32 to go wacky :*Win98SE uses 4.72.xxxx,then updates adds newer upgrades to 4.72.36or4.72.3812...,and RP7 adds Explorer.Exe5.50.4134.100{Kernel0.3.2.a does not like older explorer versions for some reason,yet works great with 5.50.4134.100 from RP7}....................................................................................... NICE!!!That's what 98se needs to compete in 2008.Running Renovatio on two systems great with 98se in 256colors on 1024x768(chempc/desktop)+(gateway/ev500monitor) added to compliment color schemes);and 98se-rp7-renovatio in 16medium-bit/true color on 800x600(optiquest):some issues with rp7 just haveta keep tinkering with settings .......reboots with bootsafe.exe for accurate restarts...can't wait to try it!!!!.....thydreamwalker

VBupdates is doing great...RP7 has issues with SCR579x,...(and scr569x when you use the webview in pictures folders!!!..ALL IS BETTER IF ADD just the pictures TO NEW FOLDER ,then...DELETE OLD TAINTED PICTURE FOLDER ,......THEN RENAME new folder AGAIN TO My Pictures....then all is well...IF...AND ONLY IF...windows explorer 5.50.4134.100+ is present in both thee start c:drive area and windows files area or crash upon crash occurs...;then reinstall wisps into the 98se system....thydreamwalker <Proud 98se Survivor... so far happilylimping backto reality>P.S.:Wondering if adding new updated connection wizard(/or network connect system for just win98se and older systems) <as my computer still communicates by usin'smoke signals to cross thee internet>for wired and wireless systems could be great idea as drivers generic or brand name are hard to acquire now days ...thx for APrc2

...All's Well, RC2 UPGRADE works great on older PC(PentiumMMX-233mhz-6.5gb-64mb)-<yet UBERSKIN RP8*???works ,though not as well as RP7 overall in comparison>,.....RevPack 7.11.5 works great..too!!!<ADDED NEW - SESP 3.03a update fixes problems from MDCU 2.50 for some reason > I also acquired a Chem PC(with PentiumIII-128mb-11gb-450mhz);added 98se with all clean installs of every update ever yet published -Works fine yet USB has problems for some reason with infra red update in APrc1,So just use ethernet connection instead....***Since adding AP-RC2&SESP3.03a..I can now use Qwest CD to solve connection problems ..(as this would NOT work before..for some odd reason??/ even Qwest was amazed as i could use MSN as I could do so before>>>Just Keep Up da Great Work As All helps!!!!thx,thydreamwalker 98SE survives!!!
