I think the -no-remote option does the same in both, New Moon and Firefox. I used this option in the past via shortcuts I created to launch different versions of Firefox in the same Windows XP installation.4 points

OK, guys, I'll take your word for it and stay with Serpent 02-24-24 for the meantime until we get another update. I also don't update until I see others here are not experiencing anything strange. I experience something strange every day when I wake up and look in the mirror and see this! Kidding; or am I?! All kidding aside: Mega seems fine with my dirty profile:2 points

Virginia Madsen looks like a Princess, someone having Royal Blood. Florence Pugh looks like a random instagram woman. And yes, I watched the film, we here got it for very cheap. on sale.2 points

No, those all are written very differently, especially the last one - which is rather emphasising on the subject of time. The first one is by me, I still consider only the main actors cast to be questionable. The second one is by another member, where he thinks the whole cast is poor. I'm very sorry, you don't feel the English language like it was your mother tongue, it's very obvious, even to the naked eye of the topic reader. And I'm not trying to "imply" anything, I'm laying out my personal, very obvious observations.2 points

Whom exactly do you call "young"? Princess Irulan. Original - Virginia Gayle Madsen (born September 11, 1961), 21 years old at the moment of filming in 1983. Remake (weakest cast ever) - Princess Irulan. Florence Pugh (/ p j uː / " PEW "; born 3 January 1996) - 28 years old! But probably still "young" for Christopher Walken, in his 80s.2 points

I'm watching the streaming version, it only has the simple, outdated by decades Dolby 5.1, probably it would have more depth and atmosphere with DTS 7.1. Some good ideas are surely present in the film, some scenes could be shorter (too soapy).2 points

Thank! I'm into almost 55 mins already, seems like not much is happening, but the British actor Jude Law just appeared, and that indeed brings hope. Any year past 1999 is generally a bad omen, I do not watch post Millennium films, I consider them to be weak by default. But I'll do my best to try to like it, as a genuine Sc-Fi films fan.2 points

The RyanVM forum has been down since early February, so I have decided to provide links to my Windows XP addons and update packs here. I recommend that integration is done with the RyanVM integrator version 1.6.1b2.1 which can be obtained here. It needs to be updated by placing 7za.exe version 16.2 in the plugins\7zip folder, and renaming it 7zdn.exe XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack for Windows XP Post-SP3 This is my update to the update pack created by user_hidden in 2018 with one extra critical update and some enhancements. The ICCD Smart Card Driver is probably superfluous, because Windows XP ships with a ICCD smart card driver usbiccd.sys. Neither driver is installed untill a smart card device is connected to your PC. KB971286 - WinUSB 2.0 driver. The Winusb coinstaller and driver are included but installation occurs when a WCID compatible device is connected. Rather than require a custom INF file for the device the generic hardware ID WINUSB,USB\MS_COMP_WINUSB is used. In the Found New Hardware wizard there will be the message “this wizard helps you install software for: USBDevice”. Select “Install the software automatically”. If you prefer to use the WMTP driver delete the file wcid.inf in the %SystemRoot%\INF directory and it will be installed automatically. KB4500331 - A remote code execution fix for Remote Desktop Services (critical). The ActiveX version of Flash has been removed from these update packs, because no-one watches videos in IE8. The AppMgmt service has been removed from the Home Edition because this is a Pro version only feature, and the necessary files are missing from the home edition. The security tab in the properties of files and folders has been made available in normal mode for the Home Edition. The Windows Management Instrumentation consol has been added to the Home Edition. I have included an attachment with a list of what has been included. This addon slipstreams all the POSReady 2009 updates released untill EOL on 09 April 2019 directly into a 32-bit XP SP3 source when used with the XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack. All files are from the SP3QFE branch. An update to the Adobe Flash Player has not been included because no-one plays videos in Internet Explorer 8. Windows Automatic Update will offer a number of obsolete version of gdiplus and the Cumulative Security Update for ActiveX Killbits for Windows XP (KB2900986) when the integrated source is installed. The gdiplus updates I recorded are as follows: KB4473077, KB4462987, KB4458000, KB4039384, KB4015383, KB3178034, KB3065979, KB3035132, KB3029944, KB3013126, KB2957503, KB2834886, KB2659262, KB4463361, KB4022884, KB2412687. This list is probably not exhaustive. They are installed as side by side assemblies in the WinSxS folder. The integrator cannot handle multiple versions of the same module in the WinSxS folder, so it is only possible to integrate the last POSReady 2009 version of gdiplus. Once integration is complete there will be two versions of gdi plus, one from the uppdate pack, and one from this addon. It seems likely that the last POSReady 2009 version of gdiplus is backwards compatible with programs written for previous versions since 2012. Therefore I recommend that you do not install these older versions of gdiplus and disable Automatic Updates. The XPSP3 QFE POSReady Addon and XPSP3 QFE Update Pack can be integrated into the source using the RVM integrator separately or at the same time. If the are integrated seperately the [Obsolete] section of entries_posready.ini will remove security catalogues and registry entries made by the update pack for updates made obsolete by the addon. If integrated at the same time the [ExtraFilesEdits] section of entries_posready.ini will prevent the update pack from installing the registry entries for updates made obsolete by the addon, and the [Obsolete] section will remove the security catalogues. 5ereph’s original XPSP3 QFE POSReady Updates 20180917 disabled the Jet 4.0 database engine. The registry entries for Jet 4.0 have been restored and msjet40.dll and msjetoledb40.dll have been registered in the ActiveX/COm section of the registry. Hi ... anyone notice that Malwarebytes v1.75.0.1300 hasn't updated since March 13th. Maybe someone can also confirm this. There are usually 3 or 4 updates or more everyday. There are 12 updates for March 13 so far. I don't remember ever seeing that many in one 24 hour space. Forget it ... just after I posted I read the post before mine ... just didn't see it.1 point

2 years later, my opinions have changed, I do agree with your points. I went over to 11 last year when 21H2 went end of life. To be honest, what we do at this point is to just adapt. Nothing stays the same forever. Of course, any OS is perfectly usable; the original Macintosh is usable. It all depends on what YOU need.1 point

I did not think that this would cause difficulties. It is very simple. You can also use HXD32. You just need to change two bytes - address 000000C0: value "06" -> "04" address 000000C8: value "06" -> "04" Add: Archive with all files for compare - https://www.upload.ee/files/16405923/tor-win32-0.4.7.11_WinXP.zip.htm MD5: 28f9256aba8f729b97f8318089738b561 point

Thanks for the feedback guys. So the problem is here. It's weird. I also use the latest version. Tried disabling all extensions and still no way to get the page to finish loading, Serpent closes itself. I'm attaching an error Mega gives me with the extensions enabled. Only in that case it doesn't close but it doesn't finish loading, obviously.1 point

In English, we have two absolutely different meanings for “weak” and “untalented,” but at MSFN we have at least three accounts that do not know that, as I pointed out March 15. You are not going to convince me that my enjoyment of a recent movie was an error on my part, nor is there any point in discussing the talents of recent movie stars with someone who does not watch recent movies. Meanwhile, today will probably be the day when Dune: Part Two surpasses $500 million at box offices worldwide. That is very good for a post-pandemic film that is not an Avatar sequel. (Of course I also saw the Avatar sequel at a cinema more than a year ago. ) https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dune-2-nears-huge-box-office-milestone-passes-first-movies-entire-run-after-10-days/1100-6521893/1 point

I fear that no one here will convert a webextension to a legacy extension, just on request. The probability for that is close to zero. Especially when it comes to a rather unimportant extension whose function is already covered by some legacy extensions. The effort involved for doing such a project is very significant. The only way is looking for an extension programmer, who usually has to be paid for, or performing such conversion on their own.1 point

Looks like a Windows Forms app using the old WebBrowser control, uses Internet Explorer engine that's installed with the OS. We did stuff like that back in high school when starting out with GUI programs written in C#. It was good for the fundamentals, getting familiar with form editor in Visual Studio and event driven programming. But it's not an Internet Explorer fork, you can't fork proprietary closed-source browser. Replacements for WebBrowser control these days are Edge WebView2 or CEFSharp.1 point

Now the column No. 2 that specifically targets the main weak actors (which is my opinion, also): "2. Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya do their best, and it’s not enough." https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2024/03/03/the-5-biggest-problems-with-dune-part-2/?sh=16521e2613ce "Not enough" because they simply can't do better, if it's not "weak acting", "poor cast", "miscast", "misfitted actors", I don't know how else to translate it to you. And again, those are *not* "attacks", those are film critic reviews and personal opinions, you don't like them? Ignore, you don't have to reply to everything.1 point

OMG! Use the internet, see tons of negative reviews. Those are *not* "attacks", those are film critic reviews and opinions, you don't like them? Ignore, you don't have to reply to everything. Overall, nothing in that "C" grade film that deserves to be discussed that meticulously. "The 5 Biggest Problems With ‘Dune Part 2’" by Erik Kain. "1. The emotional connection does not connect." "4. Dune Part 2 is too long and too rushed at the same time. And it ends too abruptly." "5. The Harkonnens are just cartoon villains now." https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2024/03/03/the-5-biggest-problems-with-dune-part-2/?sh=16521e2613ce1 point

I'm not a coder either. I was more enthusiastic about it when I was younger and free from having to work for a living. Hacked up some stuff together, some published, some not. I find the whole thing rather boring these days, takes forever to get anywhere. I don't have forever anymore and I'd rather not be glued to the screen 16 hours a day. Feature requests? Yeah, I'm sick of those at work. Number of bizarre ones among them. I'm not in a position to implement them or decide whether they get implemented, I'm just a messenger. I'm feeling more disconnected from IT as I get older, wondering a lot of time what's the point of it all. A browser is a browser, a text editor is a text editor, a toaster is a toaster. People seem to be making an elephant out of everything. Why bother? An EMP blast can send everything to kingdom come in an instant.1 point

I don't really have to use it either, must have been curious, so I put it on the smaller partition I have for testing Windows versions I don't daily-drive. Been' using it for a while, with the usual tweaks, switching back seemed to be too much bother. I hide Windows versions from each other, just in case, the Flintstones way, manually changing partition type with Linux's fdisk. The few programs I use work as usual. Not being able to drop files on taskbar programs' buttons is annoying though.1 point

I completely agree. Image how difficult will be for somebody, who has never used Pentium I with Windows 98, to understand how fast Windows was back in the day in a hardware that was 100 times slower than the one we have nowadays. Now... ¿how is this possible? or ¿what is happening? Possible solution: ¿Time to get back to SERVICE PACKS? It feels like a BETA OS Since Windows 10 1607. Windows as a Service isn't the path to follow, MS. This is completely no sense: https://winclassic.net/thread/1652/list-metro-ified-components-windows Current Windows status can be only understood in one way: nowadays hardware, even the cheapest laptop, comes with tons of RAM and disk space to waste... It's a bit sad how all has changed after w8.1.... we are in the last days of computers. Sometimes I think if MS is only testing Windows on a highend PC, even if this is true, the OS feels like a beta; slow gui, lag... tons of background processes... It was one day an (almost) perfect Operating System and not this kind of beta "Service"1 point

Fantastic film, I can say the same about all of his films, I'd like to add another suggestion. 1982 Blade Runner is highly advisable to watch, if you manage to get the working print, especially. https://www.whattowatch.com/features/blade-runner-cuts-explained I understand Harrison Ford's acting can be hard to watch, try to ignore. I only watch because of Rutger's mighty acting in that film.1 point

I usually try to avoid films with Dennis Hopper at all costs, but Kyle MacLachlan is a good, charismatic actor, so I even bought the Bluray. The Italian woman in that film, I didn't like her acting (no, I'm not saying she's not pretty or whatever), I just think they could find someone much better to pair up with Kyle. Sherilyn Fenn, for example, if we are to assume they didn't have enough budget to hire British actors.1 point

In particular, you implied Jenna isn't smart and pretty enough. In my glorious country for such talks about women (doesn't matter whether they are really ugly or not), you'd be hanged, period. I shan't waste my time googling for Jenna and how she looks like, it doesn't matter, she is a woman, and you need to respect that. In my region it's even more serious, you'd be declared a sub-human for having no respect for women, this has a very serious consequences, far worse than hanging.1 point

The link contains a table with all tested versions of Malwarebytes Premium including the version 3.5. And you expressed concern about recommending a licence for an antimalware program to users of Windows XP. So if the virus definition updates for Windows XP stop at some point, you still have a licence for a better version with a higher detection rate in a more modern operating system. Therefore, the table is very relevant. Personal attacks don't help, either. And it's not the first time! The ability to remain factual without becoming personal is indeed a virtue that not everyone can call their own.1 point

Searching the internet, researching and reading books or articles is the main intended purpose of my tablet. Many of my posts are written under Android and its most recent browsers. It's very comfortable and easy. As a respite from the Chrome or Chromium world, I then enjoy surfing with my UXP browsers under Windows XP.1 point

I have tested FreeCap and SocksCap64 for suitability. I set up ProxHTTPSProxy as the proxy server and Iceape-UXP as the program that should exclusively use this proxy server via FreeCap or SocksCap64. The results were very different. FreeCap works with a local proxy like ProxHTTPSProxy more badly than well, SocksCap64 on the other hand has no problems with a local proxy like ProxHTTPSProxy and and works perfectly together with such a proxy. Therefore, my recommendation is definitely SocksCap64.1 point

As far as I can see, you can try to set ProxHTTPSProxy systemwide by the command proxycfg -u. If it doesn't help, you can revert this by the command proxycfg -d. And did you try in the IE Proxy Settings only the setting of HTTP in combination with the option "Use the same proxy server for all protocols"? Anyway! Software which can't be activated easily is actually not worth its money. Maybe, you should try to get a refund. BTW, @roytam1's suggestion to use ProxyCap sounds promising in any case, though.1 point
