Hi. Do you have Kaspersky 18 or 19? There is no “new one” for XP unless you have never heard of Panda. Astro is now looking for something besides Kaspersky 18 that will work with SSE-only processors (evidently 10-year-old Malwarebytes 1.75), but you appear to have an AMD Phenom processor so an SSE2 requirement should be no problem for you. If Kaspersky is quitting for some reason, have you tried Avast 18.8?

Firefox has a nasty bug, where it can't properly process enterprise or self-signed roots. If you encountered them, I advise to add this string to default.ini and then try again, security.enterprise_roots.enabled=true

My bank has an old website that works in these Firefox, and it mostly works in Opera 12. Recently they've began offering a "modern" version as an option in parallel. But it doesn't need to be used. However, they required that I update my personal data such as phone number, address, and expected turnover, or I get booted out if I do not do it. Turns out that interface requires Chromium or maybe Quantum. In New Moon and Serpent it showed a white page. Turns out the only changes needed were a country code for the phone number. I'd be royally screwed if I didn't have Windows NT 6 and Opera (Opium).

Nothing has been changed through the years ... it is carried the day it was installed from backup to backup. I mentioned earlier that the program wouldn't update for about 8 months maybe four years ago. I just kept using it with the last definition update I had. I figured it could still check some downloads for me and then the program started updating again. I asked around but nobody else was having any problem getting updates, just me. I am not sure I understand your question: "last offline definition updaters for this version?". I always just manually update with the 'Update' tab. I never let it update on it's own when you first start the program. It may just start updating again one day. It's probably not that important in 2023 anyway ... most people have probably moved on to a newer version that works with Win XP. Nobody responded to your earlier request to also verify that they were still able to get definition updates for v1.75.0.1300. I may be the only one left still using the program ... probably not but there can't be many.

You can try to install all certifiied OEM drivers from the maker's site to see if it works, if no - then no. Someone wrote about a very limited success by changing the OS string from 6.1 to 6.0 in the Optimus file, I doubt it will work for this exact model. But then again, you can run Vista with Intel GPU only.

Wrong, in such laptops the HDMI is hooked via Intel. NVidia GPU acts as a slave. Intel is the primary one.

I'm sorry , but you're mixing up two different matters. Font Fingerprint Defender has nothing to do with remote fonts, it protects against websites that scan your system fonts. It makes a random font fingerprint, which is very good ! For remote fonts I just use the flag --disable-remote-fonts (so no extension neded at all). The flag is old, but it still works, try it.

Lately I've been playing with Windows IPSec Firewall and I like it a lot. I try to avoid installing a bunch of unnecessary bloat. I gathered a bunch of rules from the internet and made it close to my iptables ruleset from Linux as possible. Seems to work pretty good except for a few caveats: 1. Can't get Kerberos to go in stealth mode 2. You have to manually add the ip range 3. Some rules have to be force from the cmd line or bat file. Other than that, its my new Firewall for WinXP.
