  3. They gave me a double penalty for posting a link to a browser compatible with Windows 7 that supposedly had pirated content. They told me it was permanent, but now I don't see it on my profile. It doesn't let me put some links to the forum but it does let me put some links outside the forum I think.

  5. I have inserted another hard drive with a XP portable with ACPI installed. Now, with the original BIOS old version the BSOD 0xA5 with the message "ACPI not fully supported" occurs, so I updated the BIOS and now the system boots correctly. So the computer is compatible with ACPI. On the original hard drive I think the problem is that the ACPI.sys driver is not installed. It does not appear in the XP boot process even though I have changed the HAL to ACPI. So I conclude that in a original Standard PC installation it is not possible to change to HAL ACPI. Do you know if there is a way to install ACPI.SYS on a Standard PC installation? (then I would change the HAL files)
  6. Ok, maybe I'll keep Thorium on my system then, so it appears to be compared to 114? Or I think you said it behaves such as to reflect this? Just want to make clear - this isn't stressing me or upsetting me - I quite enjoy testing new browsers.

  8. The latest beta build as of now (April 22nd) still works on 7!
  9. Just a quick question: Do you guys think rebasing the dlls would help much? And if so, is the command line still like it was for 360 Chrome - rebase.exe -b 10040000? Thank you I really don't know what the heck I'm doing most of the time and largely going by faulty memory and a very long time ago (and I'm not talking about computer memory either) EDIT: I'm currently using Rebase V6.0.6001.17129 (longhorn.080104-1910)
  10. Thank you, that seems to have largely fixed the incorrect font on the Digital Spy forum site! It does look as if some of the site is still wrong though, like the 'Sky' header here, which looks as if it's still in the wrong font. All the rest looks now correct. Is that perhaps because it's a larger size?
  11. Thanks for testing! Even if you try to force Mypal 68.14.0b being executed on only one core of your 64-bit multi-core CPU, it is probably not the same as a real 32-bit single-core CPU. Or what do you think?
  12. No idea, but I didn't manage to reproduce on my machine, I tried forcing Mypal 68.14.0b on single-core, kept multi-process enabled, couldn't break uBO 1.57.2.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR4VCf_J338 Interesting, and there's me taping the old phone together.
  14. For to overcome my ultraslow IDE HD with 7 (!) MByte/s I bought this adapter https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00EOJNGC2?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image So, from tomorrow starts fun, because this adapter works also with SSD and 6 Gbit/s Dietmar
  15. Sorry for the senseless bump, but I'm a bit anxious about the day the trusty old Xperia E3 breaks, it's already banged up somewhat since clumsiness is in my crappy genes...think I've improved slightly in the course of the last decade, but the damage is done, mostly just the case and damaged camera lens (another even more stupid accident that at least wasn't entirely my fault) which I eventually recently lost...had it taped on (didn't retape in time) so at least there was some hard cover on when camera wasn't in use, I don't use the camera for anything interesting... I don't know, I just like my old stuff. If I could go back in time and get the old one as factory new... At workplace for work stuff, my department got smartphones recently, Samsung Galaxy A15. I think I'd rather have another old banged up Xperia than one of these modern bricks for personal use. I know software support is going bye-bye one by one...ugh... Wish I had the idea what to get when the day comes. Did you order it directly from https://shop.cubot.net/?
  16. Welcome to MSFN Take good care; Aaron! Sal
  17. @jacer4 Here is the new link for this file, good luck Dietmar https://ufile.io/p07xouxv
  18. Thanks I had this registry key before (that you gave me quite a while ago), but it did this (large tooltip) https://msfn.org/board/topic/183013-startallback-for-windows-11/?do=findComment&comment=1262105 Possible to have the default Windows font and not have the larger tooltips ? Thanks so much PS : I could test with 0 and 1 otherwise
  19. Hi @deomsh! Thanks for offer to help! i appreciate it Here are the attached files you asked for, should you need anything else, let me know Thanks again! HDAcfg.ini HDAICIN.TXT HDALOG.TXT
  20. Good day to everybody. I have been out of the loop for a while, sorry about that. I'm not a big fan of Windows 11, but the new LTSC 2024h2 leaked build 26100 seems to be a decent build. On Windows 10, I used to run a short install_wim_tweak script on the install.wim before applying, to remove some components like Defender, Search and Cortana. However, this doesn't seem to work anymore with Windows 11. My question to you kind and knowledgeable people on this board: - Do you guys know of a method to remove Defender from install.wim, or at least some way to (temporarily) turn it off, etc.? - Do we really have to learn to live with Defender, or there other ways to tame it? - Does WinNTSetup have any capabilities to assist with this? If this was discussed in this thread before, please excuse my laziness, I will try to read up on the matter. Thank you!
  21. It is; there's NoDarkTooltips to force disable that
  22. Or if @Tihiy can indicate it or if it's a "feature" of SAB That I hadn't noticed before
  23. I always found LibreOffice to be unstable. OpenOffice is better.
  24. @feodor2 I have deeply tested uBlock Origin 1.57.2 and older versions of uBO in Mypal 68.14.0b, Mypal 68.13.7b and Mypal 68.13.9b. All in multi-process mode on my computer with a Pentium 4 32-bit single-core CPU, even in different Windows XP installations. I got the same issues, the same problems as already described here. Conclusion at the moment: uBlock Origin in Mypal 68 with default multi-process mode is not working properly on my computer with a single-core CPU. Updating of filter lists is broken which results in a complete breakage of uBlock Origin. As long as this cannot be confirmed or fixed by you, I'll revert all installations back to single-process mode which is more stable on my computer with a single-core CPU than your recommended and by default preconfigured multi-process mode. At least as for uBlock Origin. In single-process mode, uBlock Origin is working as it should. Sorry for these bad news! Nevertheless, I really appreciate your efforts in developing Mypal 68. PS: If anyone were or weren't able to confirm my observations on a computer equipped with a single-core CPU, I would really appreciate that. But there is also the possibility that I am the only one, for whatever reason. So, the question is not "To be or not to be" but am I really the only one?
  25. A lot of useful info.... Thank you! Also interesting... Thanks guys! I am glad you have enjoyed yourselves.... bookie32
