@autodidact Thank you for the FFmpeg builds. Now, would you be so kind to update OpenSSL 64-bit dll's to 3.6.1? 🙏 This is an important security update.

Thanks for this. I'll give it a try with the emulated Virtualbox TPM 2.0 to see whether it works or not. Out of curiosity, on XP, what would you use a TPM 2.0 module for? I'm not being sarcastic, it's a genuine question, I'm actually curious. Like, I know that on Windows 11 it's used to save passkeys, to store biometric data used for login like Windows Hello via face or via fingerprint, and to perform full disk encryption via BitLocker, but what about XP? Would enabling a TPM 2.0 module to be recognized by the OS make browsers like Supermium store passkeys safely there? I don't know, I'm genuinely curious.

I know this is an old thread, but I think this version is lost. All the links are dead. I've tried many other portable versions, but they don't work, unfortunately. Is it still possible to get Office 2010 working on Windows 2000?

Interesting. So it's not just me... Granted, my Win11 (forced in order to use Intuit TurboTax) is strictly VM. But... And perhaps similar to your Firefox crash, if TurboTax performs an UPDATE, it too does not properly CLOSE and therefore cannot be restarted. In my case, Task Manager actually gets me back but I have to terminate a WINDOWS INSTALLER PROCESS that TurboTax opened and THEN terminate the unresponsive TurboTax. So maybe your Firefox opened SOMETHING ELSE and that has to be terminated before you can terminate Firefox ??? Outside of that possibility, if indeed Task Manager cannot get you there, I use System Informer on my host for this type of situation. I'm using version 3.0.5578 because newer versions do not show my GPU activity properly. I only use the "release-bin" and never the "release-setup", but that choice is yours. The NEWER versions are available from here - https://sourceforge.net/projects/systeminformer/files/ The OLDER versions are available from here - sorry, spent about three minutes trying to find, maybe they don't allow them to be downloaded anymore?

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to computer veterans here. I own a Windows 11 laptop. There are many reasons to hate Windows 11 but sadly I can't use a lower Windows version on this laptop. There is one thing that really hate about Windows 11 and it's the inability to close non responding applications. For example Firefox crashes sometimes and the task manager isn't able to close any non responsive process like old Windows versions could. You click End Process and it does NOTHING! I have to restart the whole computer just to be able to open Firefox again. This didn't happen in older Windows versions. So is there a third party app that is able to really kill an unresponsive process on Windows 11?

Earlier, @D.Draker already brilliantly concluded this topic with "less people, more oxygen". Less people, more oxygen... It's a fundamental fact. Short, sweet and colourfully, dazzlingly clever. Just like everything he ever wrote. We miss him so much! And there's nothing more to add, except for posting the grim stats and observations of the inevitable global warming on this overpopulated planet, like Karla did. -
Some bad news, last year in March I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. So that means more meds and blood test and now my GP what's my liver scanned, so in the process of trying to arrange a appointment to see if my liver is okay. I'm trying to eat better and less fatty foods like cheese and takeaways, though not easy as I'm a picky eater.

one stupid question. i've played with search protocole in Windows. this use to open Windows Search in Taskbar. i've put the ES protocole registry code in search protocole. this sounds like: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ES] @="URL:Everything Search Protocol" "URL Protocol"="" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ES\shell] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ES\shell\open] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ES\shell\open\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files\\Tools\\Services\\ESearchSvc\\ESearchSvc.exe\" -url \"%1\"" this is used by button See more results in StartAllBack's Start Menu. i've removed all Windows Content and i replaced Everything Search parameters into search protocole. i typed wordtyped. when i type from startallback start menu, Everything search opens with search:query=wordtyped and not with wordtyped. (note: i've unchecked Use search flyout for more results) from Start Menu behaivor configuration. its possible to add posibility to add to change behaivour of See more use results menu to use es:// protocole and not the search:// ?
