AstroSkipper Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) FYI, I created a new, special version of uBlock Origin Legacy, especially with regard to @roytam1's browser editions, due to some recently occurred incompatibilities of my previous modded versions and presumably other old versions. More about that can be read in this post where I provide a download link for this new version called uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.31b2-1.54.0. XPerceniol Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 (edited) Could/would someone kindly point me in the direction to those 2 (I think I recall) files needed to play youtube in NM27 and/or Arctic Fox. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Sal Edited December 31, 2023 by XPerceniol

Here are the links: 32bit LAV dlls are in separated package (extracted from K-Lite codec pack 13.5.5) https://o.rthost.win/palemoon/lav.7z 32bit NoSSE (ffmpeg 3.1.1 lite build) https://o.rthost.win/palemoon/lav-dll-lite-mmx.7z 32bit No ASM (ffmpeg 3.1.1 lite build, if build above doesn't work on your processor) https://o.rthost.win/palemoon/lav-dll-lite-noasm.7z Choose one of these links, depending on your processor. The first link has 3 files inside, and the other 2 links have 2 files inside. Edited December 31, 2023 by mina7601 2
dmiranda Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 I'm just wondering if anyone can figure where to find http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/addons/55977. It is the predecessor of bookmark search plus 2, which runs very well in mypal. I want its predecessor to test it in sp52. Cheers!

In case you have K-Lite Codec Pack installed, these shouldn't be needed in the absence of special requirements (no SSE and such). 1

The predecessor of Bookmark Search Plus 2 from aaFn is Sidebar Bookmarks Search Plus from White Alice0775. This extension can be found in the Classic Add-ons Archive: caa:addon/sidebar-bookmarks-search-plus The last version is Sidebar Bookmarks Search Plus 2.0.1. You presumably have to adjust the maxVersion inside the install.rdf file. This extension is very old. So whether it is working in Serpent 52 or not, you will see then. I personally didn't test it. dmiranda Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 Thanks. It installs, but doesn't work at all. A pity.
UCyborg Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 (edited) It predates that Frankenstein UI that is Australis. Edit: Never mind, should work on Serpent 52, at least does on clean profile. 7 hours ago, AstroSkipper said: You presumably have to adjust the maxVersion inside the install.rdf file. maxVersion is enforced only when strictCompatibility is enabled. Here's the original extension thread on the Mozillazine forums: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=1659985 Apparently, there even existed a dev version 2.0.2, but it's nowhere to be found now ... Right ; the extension (v2.0.1) installs out-of-the-box in my dirty St52 profile, though it does need a browser restart to properly work... A pity Works as intended in my dirty St52 profile here: Are you, by any chance, running St52 in the hack-y, unsupported, multi-process mode? The extension was initially created at a time e10s was not even an idea for the Mozilla Firefox browser ; in any case, I, too, can confirm that SBSP-2.0.1 works OK in my (2023-12-15) St52 copy, in the default, supported, single-process mode... But maxVersion does seem to prevent CAA from offering an "install" button. You have to download it someplace, then drag-and-drop to the add-ons manager page. Not a big deal, but it is an extra step. 1

With a bit of URI-tinkering , you can still make this a one-step-process, too... When you hover your cursor over the "Download" button (for v2.0.1), the URI revealed is: https://ca-archive.us.to/storage/55/55977/sidebar_bookmarks_search_plus-2.0.1-fx.xpi?origin=caa&action=download If you modify the last query parameter to "&action=install", i.e. https://ca-archive.us.to/storage/55/55977/sidebar_bookmarks_search_plus-2.0.1-fx.xpi?origin=caa&action=install and "Paste-&-Go" that in the browser's URLbar, then: In any case, as you said already, "Not a big deal" ... UCyborg Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 That's related to how CAA shows extensions. You could throw out max version check: 1
