  1. Because of the new WMP10, integrating the updates isn't needed anymore
  2. Version number changed to 10.0.0.3802 And you're right; the version number of the setup package hasn't changed.
  3. Will online stores be optional? Because I really don't want/need it.
  4. You can't download it. It is on the CD that comes with the Magazine.
  5. PerfectDisk has three entries in services.msc, which are (at least on my machine) all set to automatic and started. I also believe that "PerfectDisk's taskscheduler services" is needed or else PerfectDisk won't work. P.S.: Want a free, legal FULL version of the latest PerfectDisk (version7)? Buy the German computermagazine CHIP (issue 03/2005), which has the full English version on the included CD Look here: www.chip.de
  6. Would it be possible to slipstream the updated WMP10 files? Can I just overwrite the old files with the newer ones? Or do I also need the .cat files and the registry-info? This is the changelog created by RegShot: EDIT: I just tested in VMWare; setup didn't complain and the newer versions got installed wmp10updates.txt
  7. @tcsdoc Put boot.bin in the root of your folder;where also the XP identification files are.
  8. What Service Pack is this file for? And what language?
  9. After using restorator2004, my files suddenly are twice as big as before! Do you know for sure that it replaces resources and not adds them?
  10. Is there an easy and fast way to copy resources from one file to another file? I've got some SP1 Shell Packs that I want to make SP2-compatible. You know; replacing icongroups, bmp's, avi's and cursors.
  11. That's possible. Do you use your burner or your cd/dvd-drive to install? Some cd/dvd-drives do have problems reading cd-rw's.
  12. Great Tweaks B) Maybe it would have been a better idea to post this in: Windows Tips 'n' Tweaks; http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=10
  13. Could you give more details? Is there a errormessage?
  14. You can use Powerarchiver to make .cab files. But I think making a silent package would be much easier. Use WinRar to make it.
  15. Maybe by disabling the recycle bin?
  16. I really don't know. I think it is possible, but I never install stuff from CD; always from my harddrive.
  17. Nowadays firewalls are a must! Other firewalls are e.g from kerio or sygate.
