  1. Could you please tell what hotfixes you integrated?
  2. You guys are right I meant the other update that is needed to install this update: KB891122: This Patch Isn't that one already integrated into build3802?
  3. Isn't this update only for the old WMP10 not for the newer build 3801?
  4. I didn't know that I would do it myself but I don't know how to update a 7z-sfx archive.
  5. @titou2k These are updated versions of the WMLite files. Updated according to this site: http://home.arcor.de/carsthom/updates/wmp10_updates.html I've only included updated files that were already in your package. Maybe you can update your WM10Lite.exe? Updated files + versions: wmnetmgr.dll->10.0.0.3921 wmp.dll->10.0.0.3923 wmvcore.dll->10.0.0.3923 wmvdmod.dll->10.0.0.3923 Rapidshare: http://rapidshare.de/files/1995258/updatedWMLite.7z.html
  6. Just start WinINSTALL LE 2003, click Windows Installer Packages and than click on the discover toolbar button(it's the magnifying-glass) to start the discover-wizard.
  7. Yeah I did too... clearly we MUST be damned idiots since we are being treated as such. Oh and I also found mine now installs with Demo in the Startbar shortcuts cos it doesnt take the name, just serial. if I enter a name on 1st starting then it makes new shortcuts without demo. Seems to imply the script needs a serial AND a name? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you have both Winrar and the latest 7-zip installed? I had the same problem, because I forgot to install 7-zip.
  8. What do I have to remove or make 0-byte, to only keep Recode. Does Recode need Vision Express to be installed? And what command do you use to make the silent 7-zip file? I would love to edit the sfx to add and remove some stuff.
  9. Why would you bump up such an old thread?? Just use nLite to remove MovieMaker and much more... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=89
  10. Most registry repair programs have a undo function. Have you tried that? What program did you use?
  11. Use batchmod, it's free, fast and easy to use.
  12. Genuine means that it is legal. Microsoft checks your key if it is a legal, non-blacklisted one. So when you have a legal copy of XP it shouldn't be a problem.
  13. I am completely new to the "Messenger-scene", so please forgive my ignorance. I am trying to install MSN7 silently using this batch: But it doesn't work. Instead a window pops up with info about the Windows Installer.
  14. X-setup Pro. Search for 6.6, which is free for personal use. 7 isn't free anymore
  15. Opera has a really fantastic cookies and passwords management function. So has Firefox. You could try one these two. Opera's cookies and passwords can be backed up easily. They are stored in cookies.dat and wand.dat in your profile folder.
  16. Because I really wouldn't know how or where to add those entries And this method is working fine for me. XP install without any errors.
  17. still the play list files are not recognized by windows setup. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just did a test using the latest nLite. I removed EVERYTHING except WMP9 and 6.4 And it seems that those playlist files are removed with another component. They are the only files from my updated WMP10-pack that aren't in I386 anymore. ALL the other files from the pack ARE there. They only take about 8KB space on the CD.
