  1. Thanks, will try that after work! It's for my dad, who doesn't like OpenOffice. Personally, I use Atlantis Ocean Mind.
  2. I do not use Opera, is there a plugin available for it? Is there is one, I guess it is possible. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The quicktime and real alternative-packages do have a plugin for Opera (and Mozilla).
  3. Well, it makes me "feel" safer I've read somewhere that removing a certain registrykey could solve my problem, but I couldn't find which key was meant. I can't try the compatibility-mode, because I removed that with nLite.
  4. I'm trying to install MS Office97 on XPSP2, but it doesn't work When clicking setup.exe I get an errormessage saying that setup.exe isn't a win32 executable. This only happens with XPSP2 not with XPSP1. Someone knows a solution or workaround, so I can install MS Office97? Thanks in advance.
  5. Will there be streaming support for Opera?
  6. I don't think you will need a clean system. What I do is remove my AV and Firewall, because they write (update) files (mostly logs) to the harddrive. Those files will then be added to the package wininstall creates, which isn't what I want. Off course I'm using VMWare to do this, not a real system.
  7. Put the batch and installer in the same folder and run the batch and follow the instructions.
  8. Copy ALL the files inside C:\I386 into XPCD's I386, overwriting all the existing files.
  9. nLite is pre-install, use XPLite instead. Also, your pagefile and hibernationfile can take up a lot of space. So can Sun's Java and your Drivercache and DLLcache folders.
  10. This is what Regshot reports as being added to the registry when making Thunderbird the default mail client:
  11. I want my cleanup.cmd, after it is finished, to be deleted. Without user interaction. How do I do that? This is a part of my cleanup.cmd:
  12. You could try to make a .msi using WinInstall LE: http://www.ondemandsoftware.com/freele.asp
  13. Are there any good and free replacements for WinRAR and PowerArchiver (and WinZip)? I tried a few, like filzip, simplyzip, ultimate zip, but I didn't like them.
  14. VMWare's installer has a repair-option. Maybe your problem can be fixed this way Go to Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->Change or Remove Programs->VMWare Workstation->Change->Repair
  15. I used Jcarle's Xpreview to view your winntbbu.dll. NO progress bar
  16. I believe there is an extension for FireFox that allows flash to be disabled.
  17. How did you slipstream it? Have you tried nLite?
  18. I don't know for sure but I believe that MS Defrag has commandline support. So with the appropriate switches you could call it at the end of your batchfile.
  19. Atlantis Ocean Mind: -small -fast
  20. You need to download the pro version, install it, make a silent install and copy your home key to the Admin.ini You will need the pro version also to install avast as Home Edition
  21. Just put the shortcut on your CD. And copy it back using copy or move or xcopy from a batch file.
  22. I've been using Irfanview for many, many years and it is the best and fastest Imageviewer out there! BUT I only use it for viewing not for editing. I need a program that can replace a certain color with another color. e.g. making blue into red, but not touching the other colors around the blue.
  23. Try Iolo's System Mechanic: http://www.iolo.com/sm/index.cfm
