I've managed to make a silent and unattended install for the Aston-shell. Only problem: I have to manually select my favourite theme and wallpapers after my computer has restarted Aston as default Shell wasn't a problem. Just do it like nakira said.
I used WMPLite and it worked. I only installed the codecs (Directshow and Audio ones). I only tested in VMWare. EDIT: You have to restart your computer, otherwise MPC won't play WMV's.
I don't think it's because of your winnt.sif It's because setup can't register a .dll (rsaenh.dll). Maybe the source somehow got corrupted? Have you tried making a new CD/DVD or tested in VMWare/VirtualPC first?
I remember XPize having a feature that reloads your customized icons back. EVEN after a Windows Update. I think it uses resource hacker and a special switch (-modify????)
I believe Nerocheck.exe checks some filters in the registry. If those filters aren't there or damaged Windows isn't able to show or access your CD/DVD-drives. Nerocheck reports those damaged or missing filters and repairs them and then offers you to restart your computer. So Windows can access those drives again.
i think it would be a nice plugin but i agree i dont want it to be bundled,, keep the browser slim,, i dont want to see it bloated <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's already bloated even without extensions
DirectX 9.0c is already integrated in SP2; no need to slipstream. Start codecs.cmd from your winnt.sif; look at the Unattended Guide if you don't know how.
