  4. Aston really rulez B) I would love to try litestep, but it isn't updated for a while. So I am not sure if it works with SP2.
  5. I have got a little bit of all the Packs in my Unattended. But I voted for the Longhorn Transformation Pack, because I like it the most, closely followed by XPize
  6. This method works fine. Avast is installed with my favourite settings and also my Home Edition key. Avast is also loaded at startup, BUT the systray icon isn't visible! I only tested in VMWare, so maybe that is the problem. Anyone knows how to get the avast systray icon back? EDIT: Never mind I looked into admin.ini and found this line: ShowTrayIcon=1 which should be ShowTrayIcon=0 to make the icon visible. EDIT2: I don't know why or how, but now ShowTrayIcon=1 makes the icon visible
  7. There is also a German Unattended Forum: http://board.windows-unattended.de/index.php?act=idx

  10. You probably activated the classic setup look option in nLite
  11. So when I understood that article correctly; IE and Firefox are affected and Opera isn't? Thank god, I'm using Opera Thanks to hp38guser; if that is true, I might consider switching to 1.5
  12. Thanks jjn1056 I think I stay with 1.4.x until I need 1.5
  13. At the moment I am still using 1.4.2.05, but I just downloaded 1.4.2.06 I also found this topic by RyanVM about J2SE 5.0 has gone final: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=28940&hl=java Can anyone tell me what the differences are between those two? And which one I should install? Thanks in advance.
  14. Thanks for clarifying

  18. The only two ways for removing IE. I know of are: nLite and XPLite. nLite does it before installation and XPLite does it after. EDIT: prathapml, you typed faster, lol
  19. Can't it be done using add/remove programs? Otherwise: nLite
  20. Maybe it doesn't work because you are trying to integrate the hotfix in the same location as it is saved in. Try to integrate the hotfix from another location. e.g: C:\Hotfixes\WindowsXP-KB885626-v2-x86-ptg.exe /integrate:C\WinXP\XPCD
  21. Those folders already are on you XP cd.
