  1. I haven't tested it myself, but that is exactly what I wanted. I only use WMP10 to rip cd's to mp3 for my portable mp3-player. Because WMP10's mp3-ripper is one of the fastest and best around. Only recently had first place in a test done by the German Computermagazine "Computerbild" I use winamp to play mp3's. Maybe the mp3 playback/rip error can be fixed by using another codec? Maybe Lame?
  2. I don't remove WMP9 with nLite, so the files should be recognized.
  3. Windows Media Player 10 updated to 10.0.0.3903. Includes hotfix: -http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892313/ -http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=893240 (thanks to Getchu) --------------------------------------------------------- Includes all the files that are left after using Bashrat's slipstreamer + above mentioned hotfixes and l3codecp.acm (from WMP10). Also I included the necessary registry-entry to activate l3codecp.acm in WMP10 (thanks to smashly). Instructions: -Put the files inside I386 into "XPCD"\I386 overwriting the existing ones. -You must manually editI386\HIVEDEF.INF file (taken from Bashrat's batch): - -Put the info from wmp10mp3encoding.reg into your regtweaks.reg Rapidshare 8,84MB EDIT: Mp3-ripping support in WMP10 and mp3-playback now should work. Thanks to smashly. EDIT2: I also included the playlist files; maybe someone needs them or can figure out how to make XP recognize them.
  4. @soulin Look here: http://www.opera.com/features/
  5. You could try Isobuster which supports many image-formats. It's possible that it can convert .dmg to .iso, so you can burn it using Nero.
  6. It is REALLY NO warez I tried it myself and it works for 7.54 and for 8beta3 NOT 8FINAL. I just bought Opera8 for only 8,21Euros B)
  7. Use the Discover-wizard, it's selfexplaining.
  8. Question 1: There is a registry-entry which makes windows believe the update is installed. Question 2: The updates are only for computers that have WMP10 and Messenger7 installed. So they don't cover updates for older versions anymore e.g. WMP9 or Messenger6.
  9. Have you tried WinINSTALL LE 2003? It's free and capable of editing .msi-files.
  10. I don't think that what you are asking is possible. I believe it is possible to mux subtitles and avi into a container. For example .mkv Maybe VirtualDubMod can do that.
  11. I've been using the 8 for three hours now and it is even better than 7.5 It took me some time to add my cookies and wand-data and to integrate flashget and my custom toolbars, but it is worth it.
  12. Try FFDShow. In video decoder configuration, activate subtitles. Make sure the subtitles are in the same folder as the movie is and that they have the same name. e.g: Titanic.avi Titanic.srt Using this method subtitles aren't put in the video.
  13. Doesn't work here either! I have installed the FULL (and latest) WMP10, but still it doesn't work. MTV is redirecting me to download MPSetupXP.exe, which is the old 9series.
  14. Some questions,Please correct me if I am wrong: 1.Using WMP10lite-,FFDshowlite-,Reallite and quicktimelitepackages means?: a.-I can remove WMP9 completely using nLite. b.-I don't have to slipstream/install WMP10. c.-I don't have to install Real Alternative and Quicktime Alternative. d.-I can view most streams using my favorite browser (Opera/Firefox). e.-ALL of the above. 2.Will these packages be updated whenever a new version of WMP,Real,Quicktime and FFDShow is available? Or can I simply replace old files with updated ones? e.g: The WMP10lite package contains an outdated version of wmp.dll (version 10.0.0.3802). With hotfix "windowsmedia10-kb892313-x86-enu.exe" a newer version was released (10.0.0.3901). 3. Can these packages be installed silently?
  15. You have to "make" the config.xml yourself. Open ZA and go to: Overview->Preferences->Backup and restore security settings->Backup
  16. @titou2k, what formats does the FFdshowLite.exe package support?
  17. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am still a little confused Those infs are only needed when WMP9 is removed using nLite, right
  18. Use WinINSTALL LE 2003 instead. It gives U the option to change the icon. http://www.ondemandsoftware.com/FREELE2003/
  19. opera is a mozilla browser! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AFAIK is Opera an "independent" browser. It doesn't need IE and it is not based on mozilla.
