I ran jdeboecks file so many times, never seen a problem with unicode and as a matter of fact if u looked at the batch files there is nothing that tells the batches to save it as unicode. maybe u did something manually as mentioed

wow now u lied to me, where is my name in there (jj) and yea as mentioed the setups should definitely run 1 after the other. it will create lots of problems along with high cpu usage and high ram usage and will probably get stuck

that i agree on too i only have id3 v2 tags (I hate v1 tags) and all of them have artist - title (i removed the track numbers, not much use for me) and try to make them at 192 cbr as well. i've some 320 ones but that's just toooo much. being organized is always good. I wish someone organized my hdd . I always start and then it gets even worse

lol whenever i went to his room, it was locked and no one replied. instead i went to resident computing thing and wrote him up hahah but u know they always work slooowly and they said he might have a virus or something. but i don't see any virus that is set to attack my computer :#!$ anyways firewall does its job. i've blocked all incoming and outgoing stuff from his ip.

go type services.msc in run then find machine debug manager and disable it also if u're getting this on internet explorer go to ie options then advanced then disable script debugging...

i have used that program though never installed it silently maybe try reboot=ReallySuppress ? and I'm not joking there is a switch like that....

i think the funniest thing is buying from manufacturers website when the dvd writers first came i looked at external sony drive from their website it was like $600. then i checked some websites and it lowered to $350 don't but from manufacturers directly!!!

well if u manually set yourself an ip whenever its avaliable u should be able to have it. if there are 100 computers and the router's dhcp is set to give say from 1-255 ip range set your static ip to 255 this way most ppl won't use it up to that number. also if u can contact the admin u can ask him to reserve an ip for u as mentioned I don't know what kind of system they reserve the ip with but if its with mac adress i'd think its easier or maybe each office has its ethernet port labeled and that's how u get your ip or if u log in maybe its with the user name. so if there is an admin just ask him that u want a static ip i'm sure he will be able to sort a way. why do u need static ip? if u're okay with dynamic ip just make a small batch on your desktop containing ipconfig /renew should get u a new ip.

i agree with u all about the security center (it looks fancy though ) most users like us don't like it. and either check wu often or do some stuff else to prevent from security holes and etc.. now I see ms has been working on setting things on default (like firewall) mostly because there are many uneducated ppl (u all know what i mean, computer wise) that don't know what the heck is going on. they don't press any buttons unless someone shows them how to. so if the wu was turned off they wouldn't even turn it on. same goes for firewall.. but I agree that at least it could be like the way it was in sp1 so enable it by default but give an option to totally disable it without removing totally removing it. i'd love to report some bugs but i'm not a sp2 beta tester nor I have a guest id or anything. i've reported some minor stuff in sp2 bugs thread in here msfn. like driver ignore policy not working and etc. (its been very stable otherwise)(i think i'd have helped more if i had latest hardware.. but no :cry: ) 1 other thing i doubt this but maybe its not allowed to disable since its on beta? maybe they'll make it removeable in rtm? they maybe wanted to make sure that wu beta updates were installed on every sp2 machine. i don't know, insider help pls?
