r u refering to me? if so i've customized my cd by myself no errors of anysort. yes I removed those components (not removed, just not installed) no explorer problems all files (system files as well) are shown. they are 100% empty. I'm very sure! and its xp. sfc_os.dll is hacked and sfc is disabled. the point that i'm trying to reach is to remove those folders... now winlogon uses the folders. i haven't checked the sfc yet but my sfc is already disabled. so i dunno. that part i don't understand why are they part of xp? they are optional components and its just nonsense to have folders for them especially xerox folder does it dump paper in there

yea Spooler SubApp error. would probably be because of print spooler. also u can check the logs for what exactly is wrong. also spooler might be another thing. in printer options i'd choose spool (i think u already have it checked.) and I agree with newdles... also i doubt that u'll have it removed but check your local area connection properties for "file and printer sharing for ms networks" service.

i'd think that its a strachted cd. it probably didn't copy the files over correctly check the cd. and crc values....

BombaTwist okay u don't like me to say format but u've been reporting numerous problems with your current xp install. your nav boots regedit boots this boots that boots. backup your stuff and with your nicely done unattended cd make a new install and let go of your errors...

well i think when i lock it moving the mouse doesn't work here's what i've been doing.. (well started 2 days ago) i start the dl's open an ie saying "do not use this comp" type of thing.just to be sure i put a link that opens the same page. i use a mouse clicker and mover and i set it to click that link every 10 sec. so mouse moves and opens a page. I also closed explorer.exe when i move away from the computer leaving the internet explorer bar open. so that when someone comes and "what the hell, i'm using this comp, i'll log him out" even if he closes the ie. he'll see no screen. and if not a advanced user, won't be able to log me off. it works but i dunno. they problem is someone logs me out is my downloads go into the temp folder created under my name. temp folder gets deleted after log off i believe other than that I don't have access to any part of c drive. only read permission. network drives are 250mb max. etc... i'll be using this method .. but if someone comes up with an idea pls post !!

there are 2 ways 1. manually going through the registry and deleting them other way is there are startup programs. i use metaproducts startup organizer. the reg keys are hklm\software\microzort\current version\run hkcu\software\microzort\current version\run also check runonce's if u want. there are 2 other places to look, i forgot what they were.... remove those vcom stuff.. nvidia stuff and some others but i can't really comment on the others b4 i see full paths

no adobe needs the cab file i've made a msi for that as well 21mb though. u can put hte cab and the msi together and when u launch the msi from runonceex it'll use the cab.. also what do u mean u used xcopy? r u trying to install the program with xcopy? WHAT?

i would think they are already in a network since u're using the router. so look at the printer properties and tell it to share. add drivers if other pc's are older.. and if u have network setup wizard normally other xp pc's will find the printer theirselves u'll see "(auto) Hp/lexmark whatever printer on Xperties" by the way i don't have the same setup I just have 3 comp with a hub (we've 56k to share yet back home so router doesn't do any extra) (my parents are not really interested in accessing the internet from home. only my sister, but she chats ) since i don't need any extra stuff to configure from the router i just setup printer sharing and then run network wizard on other comps. works good!
