I don't usually go to the winamp forums, do they supply the default installer with this type of switches.? (maybe in 5.03?)

i don't know but i can suggest u powercfg (right now i'm in a comp that doesn't have powercfg therefore i cannot tell u the switches to use) u can create a new or use an existing power profile and make changes to it.... i know that doesn't answer the question I'll try to get back to u when i get back...

I agree with all of those, the best ones are the one's u're planning don't remove vol control nooo are u thinking of giving the user every tiny detail of the files? like i know where vol control relies and it has calc and other stuff in that inf. so only removing it would be such a pain?

i added u to my aim u don't seem to be on it 'cause I've another question i've set up my rules so that any email sent to my psu account goes under Psu folder. (that's if the "to has my psu email") then i set up another rule so that any guy from my chem lab emails me (through psu) it will be moved to chem folder under psu folder now what it does is leaves a copy of the email to psu folder and copies itself to chem folder.. how can i prevent that??? ( i haven't tried changing the places of the rules, i think it will work but i've so many rules and it gives me a headache trying to change their run priorities..)

try plugging it to 1.1 maybe 2.0 card is not working? u don't really need usb 2 for a printer anyways...

did your original xp cd boot? check the bios if it supports from booting from cd if it does check the boot order and still if it does, how did u burn your cd?

Hi there I always see this type of stuff in legend of defrag programs it seems that they take plenty of place in hdd. what are they. how can i get rid of them? they cannot be temp/pagefile/files like that only thing i can think of is the recylce bin's %thing. but i'm not sure. i want to have my system dll's exe's on the first part of the hdd.. norton's disk stuff was able to place the dlls (or at least said to be) i'm using diskeeper. how can i lower those reserved stuff? what are they? how can i place the dll's exe's etc's .. Hi there I'm starting to hate my laptop. I should definitely get a desktop soon. I've some things in mind but since i'm using a laptop i haven't really looked over to the desktop components. here's some stuff i definitely want pc3200 total 1gb ram 800mhz fsb mb. 6-8 usb 2 sata 10000 rpm hdd some good graphics card (this one's the hardest for me) p4 something with ht and 800mhz fbs here's the mb list to choose from sorry for the format (i had to use word) also i back a long while ago intel chipsets sucked and sis were great how about them? i see ati in there, any good? asus mb price grabber prices I don't want to pay too much. I want to get the latest product but there is no need to exaggurate.. so i don't want to but p4 3.4 Xtreme Edition w 2.5mb cache. i'm okay with anything at 800mhz fbs. I couldn't decide on the ram. It will be 1gb at total but some ppl had said its better to get 2 sep 512 mb ram @3200 is that true or should i just get 1 1gb (Which is cheaper) will i ever feel the difference? also i've been using kingston are the others any good? for hdd i'm going to get either of these I coudln't find any other 10000 rpm sata drives on pricegrabber.. (ps I've 120gb 7200 rpm that i put all my info so i just want this hdd to install windows and install my games etc..) for the stuff that i always work. archive stuff will be on 7200 rpm I've liteon 811s no need to buy anything else, small components like mouse/keyboard/mpad etc is okay to deal with. those motherboards seem to have network cards so if they're good i don't want to buy another ones. audio i'm not sure. mb's seem to be okay with them and they've 6.1 support. (i've 2.1 speakers anyways..) monitor: I haven't decided yet will depend on the other components prices. graphics card: now i've been using nvidia and i totally like it. but since few years/months ati seems to be doing great. how about the newly released/will be released cards from nvidia? i want to buy either 128 or 256 mb, but i don't want to pay $500. what should i get. graphics for me is a real serious issue. i want to get the right one. I've been using asus graphics cards they're pretty good.. is it good? any better cheaper solutions? (i also used leadtek 64mb geforce 4 mx a170, it was okay) box/case: I've no idea what i should get. I want to have front usb stuff. doesn't have to be transparent on the side with fancy stuff.. I definitely don't want a stupid door/window type of thing in front of the panel (for cdrom's and etc.) with these information + your own opinions and suggestions what should i get.? apart from this i'm usually on the move would it be a wise idea to get a micro tower those new ones like media center ones. do they have cooling problems, will my 128/256mb graphics card fit in there? does that mb in it support sata? etc also if anyone wants to buy me this stuff I'd really be glad and would thank that person all my life (until he/she gets annoyed and I'd really appriciate it, if it was an alienware comptuter ) and any other advice on and hardware stuff? hey maybe u can call an inf or a batch file from the winnt.sif then from there change the relative paths or something.

those are all known components and most of them work in winnt.sif i dunno about the wmp ones but i'm sure if they're under oc thing they might work.. good accidental find

that's right u will lost data. but i've 2 external drives (hdd & dvd-/+rw) both are on performance and i've a ups but my write cache was enabled but now its not does anyone know how to enable it forever??? edit: ow well bump sorry i had not seen the last bit of the picture. wow i don't have that on xp, is that only on w2k3? seems like a nice feature if its sitting there and u've the option to check it i'd definitely go for it but i dunno what it does... here's how mine looks like its a western digital 120gb 8mb cache with external closure speedzter 3 from caloptic. (when i bought it there wasn't much external stuff avaliable, i'm sure the real external ones that maxtor wd produce are better (i mean the closures are better))
