Having a quick look on google and on here http://www.winvistaclub.com/t78.html NoSimpleStartMenu : Disabling it will force the Classic Start Menu So try adding that to the registry, this will not give you the Classic Start Menu in win7, but it should give you your desktop icons

I know a while I used the registry key that would show classic start menu on Vista and it would make Computer,Network Places, %userprofile% folder appear on the desktop, but Im not sure what happens with it now.

are you saying that both the Official MSI based Opera installer and the Classic Opera installer dont work on 95? I havent actually had time to check, a bit late now to check anyway

95 would work fine on that, but I would prefer to run 98se on something like that

for this ive been using an All-drivers Etherboot floppy, however this isnt a flawless solution, had real trobule installing it to a couple of Pentiums. but hopefully it will work for you, i also think it hasnt been updated lately http://etherboot.anadex.de/

is that number really that important to you? an ATI 4670 would give you high 5s, and the 4670 doesnt require extra power connectors so it should work with your PSU

you can add icons to the super bar by right clicking on the program icon and going to pin to taskbar. or you can actually drag the icon onto the super bar to pin it

but no one really wants to endure shareware nag screens

upgrading to the RC might not be the cure but it is still a good idea

as your using vista i can see no problems using 7 RC as your main OS, except maybe when it RTMs but thats not a huge reason not to use 7 RC

classic taskbar functionality is still available in windows 7 or at least in build 7000, so I cant see why it wouldnt be available in server 2008 r2. the classic start menu will not be available though

Id be surprised if COD4 was about to go away whats that? definately recommend the Half Life Series - Half Life,Opposing Force,Blueshift,Decay,HL2,HL2e1,HL2e2 or you could wait for black mesa source which is an awesome looking remake of HL1 I cant help but sort of disagree and say that my oppinoin is that you should only play the original because it is better then the sequals. and ofcourse UT99 has Strangelove which is awesome So yeah definately orange box should keep you busy for a couple of days till you need some more games or you could play The Hell, a mod for the Hellfire expansion to Diablo I apparently that has a lot of game time on the hardest difficulty, think of it as preperation for Diablo III

using VB6 sounds like a good idea because everyone should have vb6 runtimes installed unlike .net 2 which is disliked by many people
