  1. Right-click the Partition's Letter and the info is there, same as any other OS. 40gb is your HDD size. If you've created too small a Partition (via e.g. FDISK) on it for the OS, then you may (will) get the error. I'm assuming when you say "all the hard drive space possible" you mean you made a single large Partition on it (you have only a C-Drive). Correct? That should be MORE than enough unless (see next paragraph)... You know, you could burn a few of your Compressed File to CD, delete off the Partition, and extract directly from the CD, right? I'd check the "Free Space" on that Partition as you may have eaten it alive.
  2. Googling for the "older" MSI, I found this comment (re v50). "Support of WinXP ended, OK. But Google for work, MSI Installer DO NOT CHECK target OS and deploy Chrome v50 to Windows XP." What does anybody make of that? And using sdfox7's link to Google for v49 gives v50. Use his "archive" link instead.
  3. No. Just that we can't directly support RT7Lite as it's both a "defunct" software (no longer a support forum for it as the website is history) and not developed here. The same goes for Winreducer (except not "defunct"). For that one you would best be served posting on THEIR website. Scroll down this - Winreducer IS RT7Lite (I guess). Have you thought about trying "Win ToolKit"? Many of our Members are also members there. Lego is also the author of UniExtract (FYI). http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/forum/179-win-toolkit/ I'm only trying to point you in alternative directions where you will be better served. As for the "edit", yeah, but opening the "edit" box then copy(swipe)/quote creates a spanky new "box" for me, ignoring the already "edit' box that mystically disappears. I can edit all day long but can't "add a quote".
  4. The "bitness" isn't the problem. Server2k3 (5.2) comes in both 32 and 64. It's strictly the XP 32-bit (5.1), which has had support dropped. Both Server2k3 and XPx64 just recently had support dropped (both being 5.2). You'll have to use the method(s) suggested above to circumvent the "made for 5.2" installer. MS isn't going to back up now.
  5. Can't "deirectly" Update. Turn off AutoUpdate and don't do ManualUpdate via the GUI. Won't work. You HAVE to use one of the previous two methods to circumvent and need to ALWAYS manually download Full Defs and Install. The Interface downlodas the "raw" Installer and it will NOT allow it (since it's flagged for 5.2 which is Server/XPx64). XPx32 is v5.1 so you have to live with it until MS totally clobbers it. Slightly O/T - using Symantec for older products can still be updated to latest definitions IF you swap out the program that "installs" the Defs for an older version that works. Pretty much the same concept as above. HTH
  6. In addition, this is due to the Registry flagging the WIM as being "mounted". This behavior has been noted before with a "failed" unmount. (sorry for additional post, but HOW DO YOU EDIT and add a Quote?)
  7. Since Explorer is capable of accessing the WWW (like IE, et al) maybe MS slipped a mickey for "Gee can't get there via IE API's, let's try Explore instead".
  8. I wonder if a UPS (Backup Power Supply) would "trickle charge" and hold enough juice to power your Dell? SFF towers usually don't pull that much (watts). In addition, Voltage tolerances (+/-) may not affect it (that much). Research Volts/Watts/Amps and how they interact with each other.
  9. The USB is a "B" Wireless. The Cisco is an "N" . Speeds - B->G->N Check your Router's WiFi settings. It's probably exceeding the USB's speed. I can only assume your other computers are WiFi (you didn't say)? What OS and what connection (you also didn't say). HTH
  10. I will repeat this for the sake of anyone else reading this. You MAY get help on your problems. HOWEVER, RT7Lite was NOT developed by any members here (ref. nuhi) and, as such, you'll get no support for it UNLESS someone else uses it (if any). That said, you MAY be on your own and complaining about errors here MAY do you absolutely no good. RT7Lite is someone else' attempt at "cloning" nuhi's (our member) vLite. Sorry...
  11. Do you, by chance have some unneeded Services running? Maybe some that continue to run (like, e.g. Acrobat Reader)? Or perhaps some unnecessary AutoUpdate programs (like, e.g. Acrobat Reader, AntiVirus, Java, Google)? UPHClean won't help you with those. Disable unnecessary services (like, e.g. dotNET Optomizer) and any unnecessary AutoUpdaters (use Manual updates). I have absolutely NO problem with my XP (running it now) shutdown and it's fully updated (WITH dotNet 3.5). Side Note - and YES, I have UPHClean installed. HTH
  12. The OP is confused by "location" as opposed to Partition Size defined on a Hard Disk. Think in this way (real life example): Filing Cabinet = Hard Disk - Physical Media, Fixed Size Cabinet Drawer = Partition - one of many Logical Areas defined ON the Hard Disk Folders = Folders - "groupings" of Files ON a Partition When "extracting" a COPY is placed into a TEMP "folder" (within the SAME Cabinet Drawer) before being placed into NEW "folder" Bottom line, you do NOT have a large enough Partition defined on you Hard Disk - that is UNLESS (as jaclaz said) something else is wrong. How about you tell us how big your Hard Disk is AND how big your OS Partition is AND how large your Compressed File is AND how big it will expand to (seen when OPENING with 7-zip and NOT "extracting) so we can get to the bottom of your "problem" (FOUR items of which you've not said). (note - K-Meleon appears to be 25.34MB, so that's ONE of the above items...)
  13. "Hillbilly Redneck deletes 93 MB of RAR files. Pr0n collection lost forever." Better? FTR, I didn't remember his name, so...
  14. Maybe Server Load? So many people are begging to get MS' Windows Spy, err... 10, that they may be getting clobbered, in addition to who knows how many/big the WinX files are. (Still holding off on my "free" Upgrade.)
  15. QEMU runs through a set of "interface" programs, just like any other VM. USB is slower I/O than (e.g.) CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/HDD. You're loading a complete OS from USB for the sake of games? Uhhhh, did you notice the OS runs fairly quick when loaded to VirtualHDD or RealHDD as opposed to USB? Oh, well, good on ya, but it'll never get better that that UNLESS you disable LOTS of Services and/or remove Unnecessary Components. Even at that - From USB??? (Hard-core Gamer wants portable XP to play games on...)
  16. Nope, the OP won't be able to change the Timing. Chances are there's a MisMatch in the Timing between the two. Older Dell/HP were notorious for wrongly detecting RAM. Try swapping the RAM slots. It sometimes works as these beasts use the FIRST RAM slot's RAM for the Timing and if the FIRST one is "faster" then it will (essentially) use that for the SECOND slower RAM and all heck breaks loose. HTH
  17. Opening does nothing. Extracting will use the TEMP folder under a Generated FolderName before "copying" to the TargetFolder. It's always done that way. Explorer Copy/Paste works the same way. Of course, you could always change your TEMP folder's location to a really big partition with lots of free space. Alternative - Extract smaller "chunks" from within the Archive?

  19. #1 Extract the Binary Boot Image to a folder #2 Copy the entire CD to another Folder #3 Insert the files into the appropriate place in Folder #2 #4 Create a Bootable ISO using IMGBURN -or- Burn it Direct to CD Why is a VM going onto a USB? If you need a RUNNING XP for maintenance work, why not load a Winbuilder "Live XP" ISO via RMPrepUSB? SysPrep has nothing to do with an Unattended Install (per se) as it's used for Rolling Out Images for "Welcome" (first User Boot) for OEM's and Corporations.
  20. I have absolutely no clue if this has anything to do with your (CZ) problem. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/java8locales-2095355.html
  21. 4098MB > 4096MB So pretty sure you exceeded 4GB by 2MB. Be aware we're talking GB and not GiB (there IS a difference).
  22. Looks like U51 (according to you) may be the last one Oracle is going to allow XP to install then. You're aware that MS (and everyone else) wants it (and Vista) to die a horrible death, right? Unless the MSI can be "hacked".
