personally i dont even use antispyware programs i know what im installing and that it is clean of all spyware/viruses . i also never use IE and use opera and clean the cache on it everytime it closes so that i wont be left with any tracking cookies. the only antispyware products i have found to actually have been anygood out of them all are Adaware and Spysweeper.

personally its upto personal preferance. you can find alot of good artwork icons and other such customizations on DeviantArt. another little program i like to use is Samurize

it sounds to me like u have a known type of worm. It changes ur system32 folder properties. if u uncheck hide protected operating files you should find it appears again. You should run a virus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and also use a few antispyware programs. the best one to use is spysweeper which you can get a free trial of from http://www.webroot.com

doesnt look much like kde at all. if u want kde effect goto stardock and get the object dock then use that as ur startmenu and taskbar as its much more kde like.

Shareaza wins this hands down im afriad. considering it can connect to G1 network making limewire,imesh,bearshare useless, it can also use ed2k network making emule useless. and having its own network along with bittorrent support means that its the only p2p program u will ever actually need. its the only one i use apart from azureus for torrents as i like to be able to throttle my downloads and uploads sometimes which you cant currently do in shareaza.

if u want to use transparency then u have to make sure the image is in 256 colour and use magic pink. if however u want to use more colours then u will have to make a 24-bit bitmap with 8bit alpha channel for the transparency. which is a pain in the a** todo if u dont have photoshop. windowblinds skins u can do more powerful things with like make ur own custom widgets and it also allows u to use transparency in places that standard windows visual styles u can. and oh yea it uses less resources than the theme service does.

it does clearly state. if you select a windows and button settings other than Windows Classic it will override the following settings, except in some older programs. hence meaning that those settings will only apply to windows classic theme and not the royale theme. if you want to make it smaller in royale theme u will have to use a program like stylebuilder or skinstudio.

get all ur icons in a folder together then open shell32.dll with resource hacker, then goto action>replace icon. then simple find the file u want to replace and then click open file with new icon and browse to the icon u wish to use. once u have replaced all the icons u want.just save the file. it will create a backup of the original just incase. PS : Gunsmokingman, what theme is that screenshot of cause it looks very smart.

Hi, i got bored earlier and decided to create myself a snazzy looking XPize button, i remembered this topic and decided id make a few others incase anyone else liked it. the zip contains the same image only in a variety of colours. colours include : Orange, Yellow, Red, Pink (for the ladies ) or for if you just like pink, Purple, Blue, Green, White, Black

you have to use makecab and then once its cabbed replace the one on ur UACD

im trying to add the Msfn logo to the sysdm.cpl so that i dont have to use the oemlogo and oeminfo im add the bitmap as resource 3 and then add an bitmap part to the dialog 101 but its not showing up. hmmm

was browsing through some font sites and for anyone that cares or wanted to know the font used in the Msfn logo is Battlefield.ttf

EDIT: ok ive got the msstyle to work now but i seem to be having trouble with the shellstyle.the blue one seems to work fine but when i use the green to silver styles the background colour in the comman tasks bit just goes to white. here is the msstyle and shell style together. im hoping someone will be able to fix it for me if possible.

with what ? i dont use any theme making apps. i had stylebuilder but that didnt seem to make msstyles that would work without stylexp installed. i want one msstyle with the three original ones and then the three royale styled ones.

i was wondering if anyone would be willing to make a quick alteration to an image for me. its to be placed in the sysdm.cpl as the logo but i cant seem to get the white bits around the edges to dissapear using transparency without losing the amount of colours. unforutnatley i dont know how to do 24 bit with 8 bit alpha transparency so if someone could kindly do it for me it would be much appreciated.

becoz i want both ok. its not to improve its becoz i want the choice of the original styles and the newer royale styles.
