  1. this is possibly the ugliest and most disfunctional filemanager i have come across, sorry
  2. does anyone know of a place to get a silent .NET 2.0 that can be called from svcpack.inf as im avoiding ugly runonceex at all costs.
  3. Indigo Rose Autoplay Media Studio is the best around that ive seen Linasoft Autoplay Menu Builder is second best.
  4. Perhaps in future you shouldnt install warez'd copies of an OS if you dont have the technical knowledge to configure your system in the first place.
  5. i personally use 0.0.0.0 because i run a webserver and i dont want all the ad blocking attacking it.
  6. AnyDVD is the most essential program if you want to backup dvds. also a program like CloneDVD , Apollo DVD Copy or DVD Cloner III todo the actual copying part.
  7. i would seriously advise ppl to not try these kind of modifications unless they are extremely good with a soldering iron and a pure power fanatic. its not like those cards are slow anyway.
  8. the systems used in that other thread arent the same specs so no proper comparison can be made.
  9. probably something like slackware , gentoo or debian. debian or slackware being the favoured two.
  10. surely if ur wife comes barging into the room through the door u wouldnt have enough time to even pause + minimize the game in the first place.
  11. i am soon going to be purchasing a Skt754 Ahtlon64 3700+ as i have seen that its based on the FX-53 but doesnt feature the dual channel memory architecture and can perform just as well as the 939 chips.
  12. ive seen this , although the conroe seems to be a very nice processor its price is going to be outrageous, Intel really shouldnt try to concentrate on building the fastest CPU you can buy for extortiante money, they should concentrate on building affordable mid range cpus that might actually be able to outperform AMD ones. This is why AMD are so popular now, they have cheaper chips with better performance. Plus AMD are working on there new 65nm cores which will totally smoke the Intel ones.
  13. TMPGEnc Express has always been my favourite for video converting
  14. nice work , will also use for my emulator
  15. quick question whilst we are on the topic. i saw that there is a silent installer for java and .net framework 1.1 question is. has the ryanvm java installer been fixed yet because whenever i tried to use that installer yahoo games would no longer be useable as it spat out script errors, but when i used the normal installer they worked fine. also Is there a silent installer for .net framework 2.0 that can be installed using svcpack.inf
  16. the SP2 installer did cause huge amounts of problems for ppl when they were upgrading over there already installed SP1, SP1 for me was nothing but a pile of sh*te with constant freezing and crashing. if you have SP2 slippstreamed with all the latest hotfixes into the install cd you shouldnt get any problems at all.
  17. maybe you should go an express these feelings over on the indigorose forum, im sure they would appreciate the feedback and that the technical staff who help over there will be able to comment on this. i personally havent had any problem using Autoplay Media Studio, i do agree that it is abit slow to load sometimes
  18. The DDR2 wont play a that bigger part in the benchmarks, the AMD will still come out on top.
  19. CD Shell can also do what you want, but may be abit more complicated to use.
  20. ive seen plenty of benchmarks in the past of AMD vs Intel, the AMD will absolutely spank the Intel in performance. Hence why Intel have had to go back to the drawing board to come up with these new "Conroe" based chips.
  21. Autoplay media stupio is used to make Autorun menus that work within windows. It sounds like you are trying to make a bootmenu that loads when u boot from the cd at startup. If this is the case you will want to get a copy of EasyBoot
  22. If you dont play games u dont need directX at all. i dont thing there is anyway to get a patch, you will have to download the full 49mb of it if you want to upgrade.
  23. you will want to use nLite to remove all the unneeded crap from your installation. you may also want to take a look at bold fortunes guide too http://www.bold-fortune.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=229
  24. unfortunately there are already a fair few programs out there that do prety much identical things, nLite + WPI are the two best programs and will accomplish what you want without much effort at all.
