USB 3.0 Compatibility on Windows 8.1 32-bit?
D.Draker replied to FantasyAcquiesce's topic in Windows 8
Well. I want to help you, let's try . Was it a clean installation ? Embedded or not - doesn't matter, all editions have the driver out-of-the-box. Not need to configure. -
I know. Yes, deja vu. I'm having a really hard time imagining someone who would seriously consider using Yadnex, even if they "somehow" let the new chrome work.

USB 3.0 Compatibility on Windows 8.1 32-bit?
D.Draker replied to FantasyAcquiesce's topic in Windows 8
Then it must me something wrong with your system. Because win 8.1 must have them by default ! win 8.1 has its native USB3.0 drivers. This is the official statement from Intel. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005537/software/chipset-software.html Windows* 8, Windows* 8.1, and Windows® 10 have a native in-box USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 driver. Intel isn't releasing a specific Intel® USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller Driver for Windows 8, 8.1, or 10. Those I gave you, are only meant to upgrade the existing/native win 8.1 drivers. -
Yes, they use it improperly. WinHex can do both ways, it can Clone and image drives. Intel USB3 (XHCI) driver for Windows Vista x86/x64
D.Draker replied to daniel_k's topic in Windows Vista
And most importantly, if you will be able to uninstall them , windows will not get its original drivers back automatically . You will end up having non-working USB ports. Also, when you uninstall them, you'll have to chase and delete each of these manually. And remove from system32/drivers and delete/restore your registry. Terrible experience. -
Intel USB3 (XHCI) driver for Windows Vista x86/x64
D.Draker replied to daniel_k's topic in Windows Vista
Had quite some high hopes for these, yet all in vain. Don't install if you're running anything Haswell, esp B85/Q87 etc. It *somewhat* works, until you get a terrible BSOD while gaming ! WHEA BSOD 0x00000124 every several hours . The system is slower like 5x times than before. And with Kabylake didn't work at all. Well, no wonder since it's based on AMD. -

COMPATIBLE WITH: Windows 8.1 32 bit Windows 8.1 64 bit https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOTHERBOARD/Intel/ASRock-Z170-Extreme7plus-Intel-USB-30-Driver-10042-for-Windows-81.shtml -
I'm very sorry to hear that. I personally had several conversations with this remarkable man and he seemed very nice and clever. May he rest in peace.

Yes, you're absolutely right ! That's why I remove the original disk from the system before I boot from the cloned one. I'm pretty sure it was always done like this, no ? He didn't write he wanted them "at the same time". He wrote "I've cloned my system disk ... The new drive won't boot." By his description of the situation, one might assume he removed the old disk. Technically it wouldn't be cloning, especially as if in forensics, like with WinHex. The original question was about cloning.
-
I wouldn't trust russian (acronis) software to clone my disc. Besides, they weren't even in business, they are relatively new. Macrium are also just too new. 2007 or even younger . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macrium_Reflect WinHex - yes, it has that feature for a long-long time.

1 - Thist is why my first suggestion was to use WinHex, since it does it without troubles and any unnecessary user interactions. 2 - Thank you jaclaz, you know - I always apreciate your wisdom.

Then they are of mixed nationality. But why should we (French) care ? I'm just really curious what do you want me to do ? Go there ? It's their internal affairs. But I agree they need to deal with it before it spilled out . They aren't grateful, indeed. -
Solution found, good ! And I was gonna suggest you to rebuild the BCD. Helped me some time ago. Just in case, let it be here. 1. Boot your computer from the Windows system repair disc and then bring up a command prompt as you do in the second method. 2. Then you can type the following commands to rebuild the master boot record (MBR), partition bootsectors, and boot configuration data (BCD) to the startup issue. bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /rebuildbcd

You mean socialazing with them ? I doubt that, I don't even speak German/Frisian/Saxon. And those whom you mentioned, I don't think they are of German nationality. -

Hi, what does it have to do with me ? I don't live in Germany. Looks like you confused me with someone else. Here, in Vichy, all is fine. -

But why ? It works this weird way without extensions installed. I only have uBlock 1.4. And then again, why only them are not normal ? Perhaps their picture format is not decoded properly ? -

Thank you , friend. As I wrote everything's fine on 360 Explorer for me also. The problem started to appear with a newer chrome only. -
