For us - yes. Sadly not for all.

Are you sure this is on topic, 'cause we aren't aware of any *XP-compatible* paid VPN solutions currently available for purchase. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.
-
Real modern VPN could be hard to configure properly for a beginner, aslo may have a conflict with your LAN or WiFi adapter. In the XP days we had nice and simple standalone programmes, like AntiTracks which gone off the radar somewhere in 2010 . It was so cool and had a real IP from Texas. Very fast . It was paid, of course.

1 - Saying that "XP is outdated crap" is definitely ill-mannered and not welcome in the society of MSFN, where the most users are XP/vista, including the moderators. 2 - Yes, we are , also I'm sure you're Russian. Who else would be that rude ? The French were and are well-mannered and witty people. Thanks for the compliment . 3 - I don't own a "cat". EDIT: I'd gladly make you a compliment too, and your country/nationality is hidden. But let me guess, Russia ? *Surprise* - I already guessed, so no compliment. You're lucky our XP superfan @TrevMUN is busy , and @msfntor is simply very polite and calm.

Thank you ! I was wondering if @AstroSkipperlikes it too. This guy looks pretty Frisian to me, but I might be wrong of course, so maybe he will correct me. In any case, I also think this this picture worth a thousand words !

Guys, isn't this a beautiful picture ?

I'd vote for the UK VPN servers, as my personal favourites. And ,I'm afraid, you'd have to be more specific about the "European" servers you meant, because, let's say Albania, is also in Europe, at least in theory. BTW, the Prussian Königsberg is also in Europe.

That you know better than me.

Should I keep Windows 11 or downgrade to 7/8/8.1/10?
D.Draker replied to GD 2W10's topic in Windows 11
As you say. -

you know better.

I was under the impression Germany was still in Europe, despite the recent developments. The search here for VPN shows 0 results.

You meant russian pipes ??? Ideally, one would want to look for a *no log policy* VPN. And choose a server from a country that *at least declares* it values privacy. You might want to look at their laws in adavance, to confirm. And this would definitely be not Germany, sorry @AstroSkipper . With German VPN servers you won't even be able to watch innocent videos on youtube by Steve Carell. Esp. the NSL ones, where they mocked a russian cosmonaut. These *weird* and *tender* German-russo relationships that developed after 2000 could be the reason @msfntor prefers American servers to the russian pipes. In the future, if the Kingdom Of Frisia changes its laws, I'd galdly use them ! This is the video I'm talking about, as an example. Either way, even if it works for you, from what I know, Germany will log the hell outta you ! by Steve Carell. NSL Space... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7pf_Ue9gdw

They were slow even in 2010, when we had an XP working version, and yes, you're right, a very dubious choice for a VPN.
-
Well, like I said - it's the mobo from 2006 and they claim to have some fixes done later. I'm pretty sure you know: updating BIOS involves some certain risk. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-965G-DS3-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios

@msfntor, have you ever tried this one ? Is it safe ? Hope this one is not russian . thanks. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/residential-vpn-tuxler/jpgljfpmoofbmlieejglhonfofmahini

exaggerate ?! Google was also made by a russian ... BTW , you started it yourself and I replied only to add to your discovery, I'm gonna refrain since it's a detox topic.

Isn't chinese the same as russian ? "UltraReach (the creator of Ultrasurf) maintains that it keeps logs .. for the purpose of analyzing traffic..." "In an April 2012 report, Appelbaum further criticized UltraSurf for its use of internal content filtering ... and for its willingness to comply with subpoenas from U.S. law enforcement officials. Appelbaum's report also noted that UltraSurf pages employed Google Analytics, which had the potential to leak user data" "UltraReach wrote that it had already resolved these issues...A top-secret NSA presentation revealed as part of the 2013 global surveillance disclosures dismisses this response by UltraSurf as "all talk and no show". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultrasurf

Let me be the Indian support for a minute and ask did you update the BIOS ?
-
Oh gee, that moronic *please wait* 30 minutes in the BIOS crap from the video, thanks for the "nostalgic" memories. Yes, it's the same dreaded BIOS my board had, except some improvements made by the Germans. The poor German developers from Siemens tried really hard, I guess. PS. That "energy saving" crap could be turned OFF in the German replica, so try it on yours. It was called something like "previous power state" OFF, so it won't turn off your disks each time. Overall , some extremely poor minded coders made that BIOS.
-
You don't want that thing to work in AHCI mode, trust me. Also, it's not 2007 , it's more like 2005-06 smth. I wrote before in your other topic I had a similar board Siemens D2317 Q965 (same chipset as yours, but more business oriented). And its Intel BIOS is extremely user unfriendly . I put a curse on Intel ! I ended up creating a bootable DVD with Vista. I assume your stick is recognised in the system after you boot ? Well then try the modified Rufus tool for Vista by @UCyborg on a smaller USB stick. This is your last hope.
-
Yep , you're right, annoying and terribly outdated . First - try a smaller USB stick (not 128GB). Smth like 2-4GB. Second - Select USB-HDD as the first boot device. Also may try to force your booting : Right after the BIOS splash - press F12 several times (boot menu) and choose the device you want to boot from. EDIT. What mobo are we talking about ? Something like this Siemens from 2007 ? https://support.ts.fujitsu.com/Search/SWP1081179.asp

Hey , aren't you tired of sun in Egypt ? Just curious. Thanks.
