  1. This kind of behaviour is present in any Chrome based browser and no one gives a d@mn. Any browser or OS these days is a huge keylogger , like Windows 7 , 8 , 10 , 11. I deleted (blocked) Web Data file in the default folder , forgot to say . It logs the websites I visit . What other files/folders can we safely block ?
  2. Actually, they are old (the folders) , says ver. 28 . I don't use any translation in Chrome , yet it is still there. "Aside from the main HTTP cache, Chrome also use other folders which can take extra space": Application Cache - HTML5 Application Cache GPUCache - GPU shader cache IndexedDB - HTML5 Indexed Database Media Cache - Multimedia-optimized cache (audio and video clips) Local Storage / Session Storage - Web storage cache PnaclTranslationCache - Portable Native Client Translation Cache https://itectec.com/superuser/google-chrome-why-doesnt-chrome-respect-the-diskcachesize-policy/
  3. No , I used a clean profile , so no leftovers . This is happening on all of the 13 versions I tried. I think I need to be clear , I don't use 11 or 12 since they are too old for my needs . For example, my gym website and other shopping sites do not work . So you can safely assume all of my replies are regarding 13 and 13.5. I would gladly use lighter browsers , but alas ...
  4. This is sponsored by Russia to scare us so we will stop usung nuclear energy and buy from them . It's that simple. Look at the countries that got rid of their nuclear power , they are all depend on russia's supplies (Germany , etc). What next ? Right , energy crisis and super high prices, like this year . What next ? Anything , inluding war . I'm glad France still has plenty of nuclear power left . Even though I agree it's not 100% safe and scary , it's not scarier than to be russia's pet . Don't forget , France is the World's super power . Vive la France ! About the toxic waste , read articles , they are sent to russia , ha ha .
  5. I' sorry for the late reply , got busy . It's in the main folder User Data , right beside the Default. Also, other folders there : FontLookupTableCache , PnaclTranslationCache (what is this ?) , ShaderCache. Do you have them too and , most importantly , do we need them , thanks & sorry again.
  6. Yeah, but our gov. thinks it's OK to fill our country with these savages .
  7. Yes we can , because they aren't related to cookies, logins , last opened tabs or anything useful . It's pure telemetry . I see no reason to clear on exit , it's still on your hard drive and can be restored [which is actually PROVEN many times , you can search for artilcles yourself . For example , this is "normal" behaviour for Opera , it restores all manual changes to the browser profile and keeping them encrypted]. You need to prevent them from being created . If you don't want to , it's your choice , but please stop saying like I'm a lunatic without electricity in my house . I'm very polite with you and I hope you will be too. Suggesting someone could have paranoid tendencies here is a huge insult . Found new tracking folder "temp" , located in data. It collects and stores images I've been saving to my HDD . If I block it , nothing bad happens , I'm still able to save images , like before. If you think it's paranoia again , please leave your opinion to yourself , k ?

  9. Well , maybe because you don't use twitter and other bloatware ! I have these in 13 and 13.5. What about these ? Replace 'em with blanks , also ? files : Top Sites-journal Reporting and NEL-journal Media History Media History-journal heavy_ad_intervention_opt_out.db-journal heavy_ad_intervention_opt_out.db QuotaManager-journal QuotaManager previews_opt_out.db-journal previews_opt_out.db folders : File System Session Storage data_reduction_proxy_leveldb Code Cache GPUCache Cache ............................. Perhaps you need to visit some modern woke culture website, you'll see terabytes of trash in this folder then ! Maybe it's trash for us , but for them ... Every step of yours is logged and tracked so it would be easier to build a case against you by the thought police , for example. I'm wondering , why no mentions of MSFN using these tracking techniques ? You wrote you saw it too, maybe create a topic and see what they have to answer ? Why do they need additional [non-deletable] tracking ? I'm curious . Forgot to say , all in the Default folder.
  10. AutofillStrikeDatabase is a folder in the Default folder, usually appears when you used a previously saved password , but absolutely not needed. Crash Reports is a folder in the Default folder. (self-explanatory!) Sessions is a folder in the Default folder. (stats , logs , tracking info) StatsSessions is a folder in the Default folder. (stats , logs , tracking info) shared_proto_db is a folder in the Default folder. (usually archives photos that I saved earlier to my HDD from DuckGo , for example). Like super tracking ! WidevineCdm is a folder in the Default folder. For me it is empty , but still there sometimes.
  11. You're welcome ! Good , but you forgot : AutofillStrikeDatabase (super important !) Crash Reports (almost always empty, but I think important) Sessions (super important) StatsSessions (super important) shared_proto_db (super important !) WidevineCdm
  12. I don't have crashes at MSFN with any of 360 13 versions . I even tried to forbid writings to the folder , I can assure you nothing crashes . The browser may start to beatch about not accessible folder , but that's it . So we may safely assume these folders are not needed . You're welcome to try yourself. We need to find a way to prevent their creation . You see , the website will still read this file , even though the browser isn't sending data to the telemetry servers . So we are still being fingerprinted by whomever created the service worker file. Understood ? Yes , I read about Firefox and the forks here , just look at the connections ! You were right to dump these so-called browsers . https://msfn.org/board/topic/183138-mozilla-and-firefox-has-turned-into-evil-and-lie-to-their-userbase-leave-it-and-go-for-alternatives/?do=findComment&comment=1207584
  13. JUST IN - Twitter bans "sharing images or videos of private individuals without their consent", just one day after former CTO Parag Agrawal was named CEO. Communist style censorship from an Indian , who would've thought ?? )))) No more pictures of politicians without masks in public places....not filming protests. I see. Create rules that apply to everything so they can handpick which to ban ! It is clear who will benefit and what kind of people they will make an exception to this rule.
  14. You mean delete after the browser is closed ? What's the point ? In theory the telemetry could've been sent at this point already. I think the goal should be to prevent their creation in the first place . And no , service worker has nothing to do with login data, it's not a cookie , it's a tracking [fingerprinting] script . For example , MSFN uses it and you can see the log file for youself , though many parts are encrypted .
  15. @NotHereToPlayGames, please excuse us , we just want a second opinion , it's like with doctors , you know . Perhaps he will shed some light on this problem . We are here to help each other , no ? Besides , Humming Owl doesn't have our favourite 13.5. So we are in the right topic , technically . Also , I think there's no language barrier between you and the other French person , since most French know English very well , though they could fail to admit it ! [I just told you a huge secret!!!]
  16. I was wondering it myself , First - there is a "service worker" tracker folder [which is not deleted], second - there is a folder named "dailybackup" ?!?!. It has many files with "favdb" extension and each login session data for every day, possibly they are responsible? Yes , would be nice to hear @Humming Owl's opinion . Thanks.
  17. I think those are the consequences of the tab freezing nonsense google introduced in 7.xx chrome versions. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/146276-how-enable-disable-tab-freezing-google-chrome.html
  18. Sorry , I didn't observe such phenomenon on Visat . Everything renders very fast on my PC. Vista is very fast. Perhaps you meant this happens with Windows 7 Aero ?
  19. What I meant is, it doesn't matter for my PC . On or off , I do not observe any speed difference .
  20. An interesting discussion, I want to join . While I agree that "its" could be dropped , I don't fully understand the purpose of what you wrote after besides . In his sentense Youtube could NOT be considered a collective name because he wrote "youtube is" , NOT "are", so saying "their" would be a severe grammar error , don't you think ? So how is this relevant ?
  21. No, I'm not . I run 64-bit Windows Vista, it can use all 16GB of my RAM . If a browser uses 3 GB, doesn't matter to me , but I agree it's no good, I think I said it earlier. Yes , I remember this is "Browsers for older OSes" forum. And I run 15 years old Vista . Oh, and BTW, it's spelled "nurds...." in Europe and pretty much the rest of the World . UK , AU , NZ and so on . Yes , I know how it spelled in the States , but this is a European forum and I'm from Europe. Also , we spell colour , favourite , harbour , lift (not elevator) . Elevator here means a harvesting machine. I think you wouldn't want to argue with Collins English Dictionary. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/nurd An agricultural harvesting machine , example how to use the word elevator : http://europepmc.org/article/PAT/EP1825741
