The advice to use --no-sandbox hack may lead to furious whining from "security oriented" users, not wanting to call them security freaks, so just leave it put very politely put, like I did. Officially it means danger: When the sandbox is disabled with this flag , websites can potentially execute malicious Javascript based exploits onto your computer. This exposes the user to Remote Code Execution (RCE) exploits that can execute arbitrary code on your computer. A Chromium based javascript exploit can potentially affect every single downstream application that is built using the Chromium engine. The 110 Chrome asks for GetProcessMitigationPolicy (which is win 10 and up only). And don't forget about this : The data execution prevention (DEP) policy of the process. The lpBuffer parameter points to a PROCESS_MITIGATION_DEP_POLICY structure that specifies the DEP policy flags. ProcessASLRPolicy The Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) policy of the process. Source : microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/processthreadsapi/nf-processthreadsapi-getprocessmitigationpolicy So this is absolutely official - no more Chrome for 7/8/8.1. Not to mention a gazillion of games that do not start on 7/8/8.1 due to the missing functions and/or DX12. @Tripredacus, @Dave-H , would be wise to finally retire these OSes from the main section, no ?

My Browser Builds (Part 4)
D.Draker replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
It's because it drives the total quantity of the posts up, thus moving the member to the top of the charts of MSFN. Also, more chances other members will notice, if they are separated/divided and give more of their appreciation. I don't know if you read the recent, I'd say scandalous topic about this. So looks like it's going on full speed ahead, no matter what, despite the warnings. -
On one hand, I had also met quite a few mean-spirited species here. Got heavily insulted several times. On the other hand, you aren't a weakling, so why should you leave ? On the third hand (lol), there are also good people here too ! I want you to stay ! Just stay, you're strong, despite everything ! And what they know what we don't ? lol ! (I mean about software, etc). On the fourth hand, I honestly don't know why they tolerate obvious fakes/doppelgangers/spammers, like that annoying "friend of a friend" who simply harasses members. For example, what would they do if some of these poor, gentle, shy and having real health issues people gets a stroke ? That could easily become a legal matter.

@msfntor, @XPerceniol, @mina7601, @UCyborg, maybe @AstroSkipper too, as the most frequent users of this topic/section, did you notice the list of the users who are "allegedly" not happy with the way you receive your likes/upvotes ? Yep, NotHereToPlayGames is right in the sweet middle . And you put likes/upvotes on literally every word he writes. ... undivided love.... LOL https://msfn.org/board/topic/184138-rep-farming/?do=findComment&comment=1231412

Yes, humour, of course. Looks like msfntor doesn't think in English when he reads/writes. Software translation, maybe ?

I always appreciate your advice, I used your advice and currently dating my old girlfriend, 26 y.o. old.

Can't see them with ot without PVN, I tried to use the links to that website directly . Still blocked. The French laws are powerful, you know.
-
Maybe the friend of a friend of that friend won't like it. Don't forget, he (she?) counts your likes. I think she, most likely.
-
Well, you mean log in to here from VPN ? I'm afraid they will block my account if I log from a VPN IP.
-
Don't see them from France too. What's on them ? Friends ? lol
-
Thanks, delete the "friend" ?
-
I have a friend of a friend who repesents me as a friend of my friend.
-
I don't have questions to the mods , but you do , and who are you to challenge them ?
-
Convenient, when you have nothing to answer. Again , in what role your represent your "friend" here ?
-
Not convincing.
-
I never wrote I represent the whole MSFN, where did you see that ? I know you want to sound like a "clever", educated nurd, but these long sheets of yours don't make any sense. It's just a word salad. Talented people know how to lay out their thoughts with short and sweet sentences. And since you still didn't answer my question, drop the "friend" crap, sounds really weird. Are you a female, answer me(us) please, if it's not a weird secret again. I'm just curious.
-
That's for the local police to find out, in the countryside (where you seem to live).
-
Quite a weird choice. Not saying I have anything against them, but still... And all them are ChinoRusso browser repacks related, weird again ... Why you didn't mention young stars like @win32, for example ?
-
And you know this how ? Are you a wannabe clairvoyant ?

Google Chrome 48/9 on Windows me
D.Draker replied to Gator2001's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
Chrome never supported 9x officially, but then again, It's not supported for Vista for almost 8 years, yet we run it. With the pack "Windows ME unofficial service pack" it is very promising . But not with the version he wants, of course ! Unfortunately the link is dead for many years. Someone has it archived ? https://hjtsoft.blogspot.com/2017/10/unofficial-windows-millenium-edition.html Also, he would need KernelEx 4.5.2 and http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/360097.html But like I said, only for older versions, I'd suggest to try them first. -
Google Chrome 48/9 on Windows me
D.Draker replied to Gator2001's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
So no missing dependencies shown ? What was the last working version ? I remember the last one for ME was smth like 41. Don't have an install of ME nearby, sorry. -
In this case "we" was necessary 'cause you touched some gentle people from the generic discussion, who may be too polite and shy, also have problems in their life and you're angry with them for the likes. Are you for real ?? Why did you hurt them !?!? Well, if you want me to be fair and honest (like I tend to be me most of the time), what do you want in the end ? You want a clean techno forum ? Well, then get back to 1999 ! The folks have changed. You do understand that, don't you ? There may be only a dozen of real techno users left throughout the whole internet !
-
This is a good one from you, I like it ! See ? I'm being fair . But it seems you're weirdly persistent with your agenda. So why hide, write what your agenda really is.
-
No, as I already wrote, I'm not willing to be a moderator. If you're interested, search for that recent topic about moderators . I wrote, I'd maybe agree for at least 4-5 thousands of Euro per month.
